Love this honestly. Bojan has been playing great on the Pistons, even if they suck. Knock down shooter and with all the pieces we have he’ll have open looks. Burks I’ve always liked and I think even if Thibs does the point Burks thing again, at least it’s off the bench and won’t be for too long, especially in the playoffs.
After the initial heart attack of seeing a Grimes for Burks swap, this trade makes much more sense. Of course I have love for Grimes, but he’s been inconsistent and will be looking for a contract extension very soon. It still stings a bit to lose him, but we finally get rid of Evan, get back 2 incredibly solid offensive players, and come out of this a better team that just improved their window of competition.
