Lol somebody tell me what to think of this?

  2. BigBootyBanger

Great get. Better than Spence and only 12.5m next year.

  3. Throwaway-j-1997

IDK what Schroeder’s contract looks like but beyond that I’m pretty ok with this, not overly thrilled but definitely ok.

  4. brook_lyn_lopez

Seems like a lateral move. I wonder if there is anything else involved.

  5. UnitedStateOfDenmark

I like the trade. Schroeder is a real point guard who plays hard.

Edit: Don’t love that we gave up DSJ with Simmons not being reliable to play but he prob would’ve lost all his minutes. Also hope Nets aren’t planning to give Thad Young minutes.

    Edit 2: DSJ STAYS!

  6. AyyyeRudy

If it’s straight up I’m not mad at it, let see the full details

Edit: We get Schroder and Thad Young, give up Dinwiddie and DSJ. That is….interesting

Edit #2: Woj mistake, DSJ is not involved

  7. Fartknocker-

This trade sucks but we get rid of Dinwiddie and his contract. Hopefully no draft picks going to Toronto

Edit: We gave up DSJ for Thad Young I’m upset

Edit: DSJ is staying I love Sean Marks

  8. Trollington1372

Lateral move but gain an extra year of team control. Fine

  9. ThatsTragicNewPatek

Seems like no dejounte unless walker gets moved

Schroeder is under contract next year at a reasonable $13M, while Dinwiddie is an expiring. With us still having no reason to tank, it makes sense. And this time next year if we’ve got a record like we do now, Schroeder can likely be traded for picks (even if just 2nds)

  11. ThePessimisticBella

Is this Spencer’s punishment for playing bad “intentionally”

  12. Kn0ck0uTPT

One is a World Cup Champ MVP, the other is a bum.

  13. theRestisConfettii

Not bad. I don’t mind this. Schroder can actually run the point, and start.

The idea is to be good, develop the younger players, and give HOU the worst draft pick possible.

I had a dream this happened last night. Woke up and was like I said I love you Spence and my wife gave me the side eye.

  15. Hollygotosleep89

I’m ok with this trade. No draft picks involved. Schroeder makes better ball decisions than dinwiddie. Less money.

  16. GamblingMan610

Sure why not, at least Schroder might actually give a shit

  17. As a German, I really like having one of our world champions in the squad. Also should help us with the quick style of play we’re going with with Ben.

  18. CarisLeVertsBurner

looks like Woj just corrected his follow up tweet, DSJ not in the deal (it seems)

  19. AtmosphereVarious440

dinwiddie was a great net at times but he’s really been one of least valuable players in nba this season so by proxy this move will improve the nets

  20. Batman_in_hiding

DSJ staying makes this trade SO much better.

    Honestly really excited about this.

  21. twobridges94

I feel like Schroder can light a much needed fire under some asses

  22. Hollygotosleep89

Dinwiddie for Thad young and shroeder ??? Is it ok to call this a steal?

  23. babyjet321

Always been a big Schroeder fan and he’s exactly what this team needs. And having Thad Young back just makes me feel good and nostalgic lol I loved him in his first stint with us, his veteran presence will be a plus. Definitely happy about this trade, hopefully Dinwiddie will be positively remembered he put in a lot of miles as a Net. Our stock just went up.

  24. So we basically get a player thats better than Dinwiddie and won’t intentionally throw games plus Thad for 4 man depth???

  25. Surfif456

Should have done this deal a month ago. It may be too late to save the season.

  26. mytoemytoe

A steal, no, but a marginal improvement and hopefully an upgrade to the team’s chemistry just because Dinwiddie was plainly unhappy. Schroeder is not gonna fix the offense completely grinding to a halt whenever they build a lead.

  27. As a german nets fan i love this trade. Dennis plays hard, he is a leader and he won us the world championship.

  28. So glad I don’t have to watch Dinshittie anymore. Will welcome Schroeder, I’ve always liked his game. Solid PG

  29. The more I let this trade simmer on my mind I am extremely pleased. Baby steps but definitely a positive move that helps us this season and next in a situation where we want to be competitive.

I think we make the play-in now.

  30. lxkandel06

I’m just glad we don’t have to give minutes to dinshittie anymore. Dude cost us several games and didn’t even look like he wanted to play.

  31. It’s a move that makes the team better and we gave up no firsts, would’ve liked to see more this deadline but they chose their direction.
