I like the trade. When he’s played this year he’s been really solid offensively. But I question how long he is out for? He’s played 25 games this year and has a calf injury currently

Will have to see what picks are traded but I think Hayward really fits the system. Probably will be a 6th man and hopefully the reduced role can help him be less injured although I’ll be interested to see whos minutes he takes when he is back healthy (hopefully not Wiggins). A vet with playoff experience, a bit of size as well, I see it as a good get personally

If we can harness the OKC vet rejuvenation juice from some of the last several seasons, I suppose this could be a decent trade. A potential solid veteran off the bench for two guys that were not getting PT. One interesting note is that Hayward’s contract expires after this season so we’ll have over 30 million coming off the books this off-season. Not sure what that indicates about Presti’s plans and what moves might be made in the future but I just thought it was worth noting. Also wishing nothing but the best for Tre. Hope this ends up being a great opportunity for him to shine. Gonna miss his goofy vibes

Hornets fan here. Is Tre Mann a good get for us? Gordon, when healthy, is still a difference maker on offense. Not as prolific a scorer as he was earlier in his career but still keeps defenses honest and makes fantastic decisions when the offense runs through him

My brother and I talked about this possible trade a few days ago! Thought OKC would go for some vet presence that wont affect paying chet and jdub long term in case it doesn’t pan out and hayward was on the top of that list. Great trade I’ll miss mann though

Just released by Shams that Micic and draft compensations also part of the trade.
Our flaws our obvious. We need someone to backup Chet, he’s gassed and his effectiveness is limited by the yeoman work he puts in being, basically, one of two bigs on the team (other being J Will).
But, Hayward is better than Bertans + Mann.
It’s better than doing nothing, but not better than giving Chet some rest.
