[Wojnaroswki] The Atlanta Hawks are keeping guard Dejounte Murray, sources tell ESPN. No trade for him.

I’m okay with that but you gotta trade one of these bums

  2. Ufcjunkies

🤪Landry just destroying team chemistry for shits and giggles

  3. The year is 2027.

We are 23-26 under our new head coach Doc Rivers.

We are finally trading DJ for salary dump and a 2nd round pick.

Trae was not selected as an all star despite averaging 31/12.

Our goal is to continue our undefeated playin streak then lose in the first round.

But just wait…2028 will be our year fr fr…

  4. So glad they didn’t cave and send him off for some crap package tbh.

  5. if we do nothing at the deadline AGAIN im gonna be catatonic

not even trading for all star player cash considerations??

  7. braggpeak

Most active team they said, open for business they said

  8. The Hawks cycle comment I made on a post game thread is coming true

~~Hawks start decent with an above .500 record~~

~~Injuries/other things cause the Hawks to go on a massive losing streak~~

    ~~Fans get mad around the 35 game mark with a 14-21ish record.~~

~~FO tries to trade players deemed as the problem, fail and end up standing pat~~

Hawks go on a massive run and end somewhere around a .500 record.

Hawks dominate play-in and become play-in champions.

Hawks lose in the first round.

Hawks draft player with a mid first round pick earned from being mid.

Hawks trade/salary dump starting level player & sign no difference makers in free agency

    Repeat.

We could have just focused on making small moves to improve the roster, but instead we only focus on trading Murray and have nothing to show for it.

That’s cool, what about everyone else not named Trae, JJ, or Dejounte?

Not trading him if we didn’t see good value for him on the market I’m fine with. What I’m not fine with is us always throwing our players’ names into trade rumors for months just to ultimately not do anything. Destroys chemistry and players take notice of this.

Happy and not happy. Happy we didn’t give up DJM for a dime. We gave up way too much to get him and then turn around and get little in return to trade him wasn’t going to be good.

Not happy we didn’t do anything else. I’m seeing all the teams with competent FO’s make some moves (see Knicks, Mavs, Bucks).

I guess the only thing we can do now is see if we can continue to work on Trae and DJM playing better together. Ugh..

IM FINE WITH KEEPING MURRAY BUT GET PATTY MILLS OFF MY TEAM AND LET KOBE AND SETH PLAY

  14. HaterSlayerr

I’m happy we didn’t trade him. No one really had anything that would make us better dramatically and it seems like the team is turning the corner anyway.

The only thing I wish is the FO could have shut up a bit and not destroyed the team chemistry for about a month.

we still have dejounte and clint bro i’m gonna fucking rip my hair out

  16. What an absolute disaster class from the Hawks front office.

Not only could they not trade DJ.

They didn’t move Capela, Hunter, Bogi for any assets.

Not even a small Garrison Matthews, Wesley Matthews or Patty Mills for a second round pick which allows one of the younger players to take their spot.

DJ has a trade kicker this season which affects what we can do in the offseason if we can trade him then

The best thing that can happen to the team is not making the playoffs so we can at least get a top 10 pick. You can even package that with the SAC pick to move up in the draft. This is our only way to break the cycle of MID. Otherwise we will just be a worse Portland Trailblazer. At least they made it out of the first round a few times

  17. Very unserious franchise. Atlanta hawks and falcons are both slaves to poor ownership and management. Tends to be a theme in this city overall. Sell it
