The Mavericks are the BIGGEST winners of the NBA Trade Deadline – Bobby Marks | NBA Today

Let’s bring Bobby marks into the conversation here Bobby I’m curious you are the voice of reason here who is your biggest winner from today for me it’s Dallas and I heard Jason kid say something about a week ago that you have to do everything possible when you have

A player like Luca donic on your roster as far as finding the most talent to surround him and I know there was two first round picks that went out but when you get Daniel Gafford and PJ Washington in a trade and that upgrades your roster

Uh I look at Dallas as one of the the one of the big winners today and I think certainly another team is Oklahoma City you know getting Gordon Hayward in a trade trading out three players that had weren’t part of their rotation um Hayward helps it opens up you know

Certainly potential Max slot next uh this offseason to go out and get a player before those Chad holgren and Jaylen Williams extension starts in in a couple uh more years and then third I like what Charlotte did they kind of know who they are they embraced rebuilding they made the Terry rier

Trade a few weeks ago they got a first round pick in 2027 and then they went out and and did the PJ Washington trade and you get another first first round pick here uh they did the Hayward trade and they got two seconds back also so I like what

Charlotte did you know it’s not going to win the headlines but they know who they are they’ve embraced rebuilding and they’re they have an uh they have more of an identity some than some of the teams that did not do a deal today okay so that’s the biggest winner we’ve

Talked about the Knicks now we’re talking about Dallas what about Biggest Loser today Bobby well I don’t know about losers I mean it’s it’s kind of you where Detroit is I think they they were a year late with the BD donovic and the Alec Burks trade as far as where

They could have moved them last year and maybe got more value and I know Quinton Grimes is certainly a nice player but you you flip both players for two second round picks and then for me it’s Atlanta in Chicago it’s kind of pick a direction you know you’re sitting at nine and 10

Right now for Chicago You’re faced with the Demar D rozan situation I know the goal is to stay competitive and hopefully you can get into the eight seed here and in Atlanta certainly the dejonte Murray and I know it it takes a a trade partner out there to move that

Deal and you you gave up a lot to get him and I think that’s certainly that you’re going to look at uh certainly in the in the off season here so I don’t want to say losers but more of kind of just an incomplete as far as what you

Know what those three teams did yeah it’s kind of exactly what Chan was saying earlier pick a lane especially for Chicago Bobby thank you so very much Your Biggest Loser today I I I I would say what what Bobby said pick a Lane right I love teams that

Make a decision like it’s hard we got to scrap it Chicago you learned from what Toronto’s mistake was with Van vet and they were like we’re not going to make that same mistake we can talk about Detroit they moved those players but you move them too late when you move too

Late in this in this business you lower the value even though bogdanovich was playing great everyone’s talking about how great the Knicks look ain’t nobody talking about what Detroit got in return so when you look at some of these teams if you hold on too long that’s when

Mistakes happen you have to make sure that you do not jump the gun but Atlanta we’ve been talk Atlanta made that Conference Finals run multi years multiple years ago and ever since then and if you’re going to try and reference the Golden State Warriors we’re going to

Have an issue if my thing is this Atlanta Trey young is a great piece Deon Murray doesn’t fit even if you try and trade Deonte Murray someplace else Chicago it’s an absolute dumpster fire it like no free agent would go there you’d have to overpay for to get a good

Player now you’re talking about bad contracts that you possibly can’t move in the future future you had too many players that had value right now that could have put you in a position to go get some players this summer you’re not going to get anything done this year

You’re not going to upset and sneak into the eight and upset the one and two unless one of the main guys get injured so Chicago to me uh we’re the biggest losers and I think Atlanta right there they still have I think Atlanta’s in a better position than Chicago that’s the

Only reason why they’re not top of the list why he looks a sad perk because he knew what I was gonna say no I’m I’m just saying when he talking about holding on and it’s too late it’s the it’s the same thing we just been preaching all for the last two three

Weeks about Golden State Warriors and nobody want to say nothing when I said none of those teams have a step Curry when I said about stopping the bleeding and I said moving on none of those teams won a championship years ago the great Bob Myers came on the guy that actually

Helped build that dynasty and he told he actually said that it’s hard when the Dynasty is ending it never ends right right so like it’s ending it’s always is going to add on big on on on terms on bad terms but at the end of the day look

When it comes down to the losers it’s the front office is Rob pinka because we don’t know what LeBron James is thinking that’s the problem no matter how many subliminal messages put out there on social media whatever the case may be we don’t know what he’s thinking so I feel

Like the Lakers are in a tough spot when it comes to BR now he’s going to go out there be a true professional but we just don’t know what he’s going to do this off seon

  1. pj washington can score but kyrie pj and luka are not guarding anyone and if all 3 players are closing the game out then they are not gonna win many games down the stretch. also they gave up a pick swap to get grant so trading grant is like getting pj for multiple picks just to get knocked out in the first round.

  2. Mavs addressed their biggest issues and made major improvements that will benefit the team greatly 🙌🏾

  3. for the record i don,t agree w bob marks, the knicks are the biggest winners today PERIOD!!!!! mavs are second….lets gp new york…

  4. Arguably the most boring trade deadline in recent memory. But my bets on a Knicks vs. Clippers or Lakers Finals are starting to look smarter after their trade for Bojan rescuing him out of Detroit. Great upgrade for the Knicks. They need more offensive firepower and he’ll do. OG and Bojan are nice pickups by the Knicks this season.

Top 3 in the East is shaping up to be Celtics, Cavaliers, and then Knicks while Bucks and Sixers are fading fast. I’m not sure Beverley will help the Bucks by this point but at least he’s worked with Doc before. Pat is turning 36 this year. He’s a bit washed and a lot of his defense comes from fouling and then talking smack.

PatBev is not as useful as he was a few years ago. Hence, why he’s been on the Clippers, TWolves, Lakers, Bulls, Sixers, and Bucks in a span of 3 years. This would’ve been a good trade if Jrue was still on the team and this was done maybe two years ago.

You really think Doc will play Dame and Pat at the same time? Dame is 6’2 and Pat is 6’1. No. And Dame is a poor defender while Pat is a poor offensive player, so it doesn’t balance out when they’re both on the floor because they’re both short and play the same position.

Bucks trading for Beverley smells like the stink from GM Doc. We know Doc is even worse as a GM than as a head coach which is saying a lot because he’s the GOAT coach for historic playoff losses. Skap Attack even put it on his thumbnail in all caps when talking Doc Rivers: LOSER

Who will the Bucks get next? Austin Rivers? Then Doc will extend him with a $35M contract when Austin only deserves a G League salary. Doc’s GM history stinks more than his playoff coaching career. Dude only leaves behind STANK!

  5. I don’t give a single $hit what that bald head MF-er says because he always picks the Flippers and Celtics to win the championship to end up wrong 😂😂😂

  6. Not really but will see because I'm a mavs fan and mavs defence are really bad as the bucks and pistons one i don't know 🤷🏼😊

  7. Sacramento Kings organization is TRASH 🗑 sorry to say their front office have given away more assets than we have acquired you have foreign Owners who know nothing about American sports WE JUST PACKED IN OUR SEASON knowing without a big man to play next to Sabonis and Harrison Barnes who moves like a old man on defense DONT GET EXCITED KINGS FANS THEIR BUILDING US UP FOR A LET DOWN ONCE AGAIN!!!! where is the sense of urgency ? The pelicans beat us 4 times in a row that should have sent a message to mike brown smh

  8. F U- Richard Jefferson,You Wanna Talk About Holding On,How Long Your Old A## Play For 20+ Seasons,When Your Old A## Should Have Retired Years Before!!!

  9. Dallas won, for sure. The need rim protection with Doncic and Irving being poor defenders. As for the Bulls…as a longtime Chicago fan, they are always going to field bargain teams that do the minimum possible for franchise profit. I don't see them going anywhere. In their defense, they can't trade Lavine, and the market was garabage this year.
