Mavs can offer Dinwiddie $5.4M to sign. They can offer up to $2.5M while staying under the luxury tax. Lakers can only offer $1.5M.

  1. All things considered, we have to be the favorites to land Dinwiddie. Money + relationships with the org (especially Luka) and the chance to contend.

He’s been part of a WCF run with us and the roster today is better than the one we got there with. Make it happen Nico

The need for us is there too with Exum and Kyrie being so injury prone.

I wish the team would use those classic style green jerseys more. those are so clean and pretty man.

Luka and Ky in the starting lineup, then a combo of Dinwiddie and Exum off the bench? That would be an embarrassment of riches that we haven’t seen at the guard position with this team, possibly ever

When we had Brunson, Spencer, and Luka we were rolling. Love Jalen but I’d have a hard time being convinced that Kyrie, Spencer, and Luka isn’t an upgrade of that rotation

If we get winwiddie we’re probably championship contenders. With a good pf great back up centre and Luka and kyrie and good role players.

Overpay. Yall really don’t know how bad he was. Nets fans cheered when he was traded.

  7. Well i like it if there isnt a better option. Dinwiddie chill dude, had amazing matches here

    $1.5M minus California Taxes

    Or

    $2.5M no state income tax

I know it’s not this simple because nba players pay taxes in every state they play in but that’s a significant difference.

Add in the fact he is familiar with the role he would play and all the relationships in the organisation.

Would be nice as Exum insurance. Exum injury seems to be a serious one.

  10. “Have you ever been to Southern California?”
He’s from Woodland Hills, CA lol

Mavs can offer more money but lets be honest, Lakers are still favorites because of all the media hype and attention.

I remember the whole need for a third ball handler who can create his own shot when the team had Luka and Brunson. Spence came in and filled that role to perfection. Same shit with Luka and Kyrie now. Winwiddie would be a welcome addition once again.

Run it back. Luka-brunson-spence went to wcf and we replaced brunson with an experienced kai and we might make it

5.4 m for a guy that will barely play since we have the best and probably the deepest guard rotation seems like too much. Won’t hate it though.

  15. LogansGambit

If we got the Dinwiddie that played with Luka it’s a hell of a move and one where we can stagger multiple playmaking ball handlers. I need this now lol

  16. A pg who can run the bench is still needed. Spence would slide in perfectly to that role

With that being said, he’s probably a laker

  17. Awesome. Bring him back. I’ve missed him. Exum & Kyrie are both injury prone so it makes sense to have a lot of depth at the guard position. Plus hopefully it means less minutes for Hardaway.

  18. omg what did I miss

are there rumors Dinwiddie is going to come back

  19. pimpfmode

Is there anyone else who could be bought out that would be a better use of the monies? Maybe another wing/pf

Isn’t the trade deadline already up though? Thought it stopped at 3:00 pm ET?
