It Wasn’t Pretty, But a Win’s a Win for the Bulls
I don’t know about you guys but I’m still a bit uneasy by not just the inaction of the Bulls of the trade deadline but more so the post deadline press conference we got to hear from the man who is running this team in Uris caros chovis because that was an
Exceptionally bad presser like AK has had some bad interviews before in general he’s not the best with the media just not in his personality but this one was by far the worst one we’ve seen yet I mean I almost was embarrassed for the guy because in his voice he sounded
Completely dejected couldn’t speak at all with confidence in his responses his voice kept trailing off at the very end of every sentence when talking about how he felt this was the right group of guys to stay competitive and how he looks forward to the final 30 games of the
Season he got some stats incorrect saying the Bulls were only three games back of the six seed which is not true they were three games back of the eighth seed and actually only a little over three games ahead of the 11th seed it was bad and as a fan I feel like this
One really sat with me thinking does this guy know what he’s doing is he just just in way over his head and has somehow failed upward into this role I don’t know like there really is no way that he believed half of the stuff he was saying in that he was selling the
Fans a competitive group of guys that are going to be pushing for the playoffs but anyway though we got to see this quote unquote competitive team in action against the g-league Grizzlies who have more guys out of the lineup than you can count on one hand with twoa players and
10day contract guys getting rotational minutes in this game and the Bulls struggled to even come away with a win now give the Grizzlies credit and not even just in this game against the Bulls but in a lot of their recent games I mean they play extremely hard and have
Been winning more games than you would expect given all the injuries to this team now I’m sure some of that is because a lot of these guys are playing for full-time contracts so they’re playing their tails off on every possession something you’d like to see from the Bulls players but regardless I
Mean this is more or less a g-league squad and they quite frankly outplayed the Bulls through the first three quarters now luckily for the Bulls as they have done a lot this season which has been a pleasant surprise is they’ve been able to get their their act
Together short up some of their Play and play better and smarter in the fourth quarter to get the win but if that is what we’re going to call a competitive team the definition for what this organization uses compared to mine are vastly different a competitive team to
Me is a team that plays the whole 48 minutes and they give effort on every possession like even in that incredible game against the Timberwolves where they came back down 23 they had a horrible first half it’s how they found themselves in such a big deficit to begin with similar situation against the
Sacramento Kings down 30 almost came back and won the game but they took the whole first half off against a team that was playing a second night of a back toback so yes as much as there are a lot of nice aspects and things I like about
This Bulls team I like a lot of the guys on the roster but this isn’t a team I would deem to be competitive competitive team to me means you’re competing for a title and that is most certainly not the Bulls right now now as for this game I
Mean this is probably going to be pretty quick because there’s not really a lot to say Bulls kind of messed around and played down to their competition didn’t come out with fire and energy didn’t come out to try and prove everyone wrong who was hating on the Bulls for not
Making any moves at the deadline didn’t come out with momentum from that great comeback win over Minnesota they were just kind of there never really let the game get out of hand I don’t think gle’s ever led by more than single digits in this game but they LED for a good
Portion of it from Midway through the first quarter all the way to the fourth quarter but the Bulls kept it close they hung around rather than digging themselves in a deep hole but again this is a Grizzlies team we’re talking about here that is mostly comprised of
G-league players just a few weeks ago the Bulls blew these guys out and took care of business with all the injuries you were kind of hoping that would really be the case tonight but for the Bulls they just came out a little lethargic and not as engaged and then
Again very similar to what we have been seeing when they’ve played down to their competition in the past except not always like they saw in that loss against the Raptors more recently but they tightened up in the fourth quarter and just squeaked by to get the win and
Really squeak by because the Bulls almost messed around and fumbled the game in in the final seconds despite being up nine by giving the Grizzlies threes and then turning the ball over at the other end but anyway some key takeaways from this game both good and bad you know we’ve talked about this
Before the Bulls shot the ball well tonight they shot 54.4% from the field 46% from three and yet they nearly won the game why hard to win games when you’re not able to get as many possessions as your opponent the Grizzlies got up 91 shots compared to
The bull 79 slow pace slow moving offense few Second Chance opportunities and too many turnover especially in the first half that’s a result of it Bulls outwork the Grizzlies on the glass but it’s also easy to get boards when your opponent is putting up way more shots
Than you are and unlike what we saw from the Bulls in the second half against the Wolves where they played superb defense Bulls defense was average at best tonight I did like that Billy Donovan made the adjustment at halftime to have Drummond start alongside vhvi I was actually surprised he didn’t start
Drummond tonight with Vu because it worked out so well in the last game but brought Drummond in to start the second half now that was likely happening with Jen Jackson junor getting the best of vuich on offense and while Vu overall had a good game Drummond was fantastic I
Mean it’s easy to see why teams wanted this guy 21 points 10 for 11 13 rebounds brought a lot of energy and hustle I feel like we’re going to be seeing more and more of Vu and Drummond playing together especially against bigger lineups because shockingly they actually compliment Each Other Well when they’re
On the court and it’s resulted in B getting more open looks from three which he’s surprisingly hitting now tonight he was three for seven from downtown he finished the game with 20 and 10 to go along with five assists and two blocks and believe it or not Vu was actually a
Team High plus 19 on the night and then a very efficient game from DeMar 30 points on 17 shots 11 for 17 five for five from the line in fact the Bulls whole starting lineup was perfect from the free throw line tonight uh Demar also had eight rebounds as well and then
Kobe white quiet on the scoring front tonight didn’t get up as many shots but he did start to come alive in the fourth quarter and was great at getting to the free throw line 20 points for Kobe on 6 for2 shooting two for three from three six rebound bounds and eight assists I
Mean that’s what I’ve been loving from Kobe white this season is that when he’s not being active in terms of getting shots up and scoring he’s finding other ways to get the offense going by way of playmaking and pushing the pace he’s had a lot of games where he’s come so close
To getting a triple double it’s going to happen this season it’s just a matter of time and then Caruso IO solid games for them didn’t get as many minutes and AC has cooled down a bit with his shooting from outside but still a pest on defense which obviously is always great to see
So anyway Bulls approved to 25 and 27 back to just two games below 500 they’ve got a big game in Orlando against a team that’s just right ahead of them in standings for8 would be big to get a win and pick up a full game on those guys
But you can’t play the way you did tonight if you want to have a chance at taking these guys out that’s for sure but yeah let me know what you guys thought of the game tonight let me know in the comments as always be sure to
Subscribe and I will see you in the next one

I’m still uneasy about no moves, too. But about this game, nice one by DeMar & although it was a mid shooting night from Coby, it was still a solid game.
We’ll atleast next season well forsure have a different roster bc demar is a free agent. Lavine will get traded. Lonzo back. A lot can change this summer
Watching AK talk it felt like he held out too long during the deadline thinking teams like the Warriors or the 6ers would get desperate and agree to his terms and when that didn't happen he realized he sort of played himself and put himself in a bad position. Basically he played chicken and his car went over the cliff before he could stop so he was talking himself into thinking it was a good position to be in.
Did not watch the presser cause we know he talking that yackity yack. The story of this season is Ayo and Coby are part of the future. Hopefully Pat comes along and starts looking like what we know he can. Glad the got the win, hope to see .500, not interested in analyzing a FO anymore that can ride out a team that does admittedly had something but never seem to be able to put it together long enough to not doubt they will lose until they actually finish the game. Faith is shaky.
We need new banner fire AK. One of the biggest franchise in NBA is run like a small joint
GMs is a closed club of random lucky people with some negotiation skills or some basketball knowledge, rarely both.
you're not supposed to go nuclear vs every team, like that's not what competitiveness is. Damn, this same group beats Minnesota the other day. Why act like you literally don't see where AK coming from. Whether they succeed or not remains to be seen but this is definitely a competitive enough group to stick with in a situation when you don't see a major adjustment.
The bulls record before the game was only 6 more wins, you can't expect for the bulls to trounce a team they only won 6 more games than.I think this team can be super tough with Drummond in there and like Ak said there's not many games separating many teams.
To be honest I can’t stand Artūras anymore. Just the sight of him pisses me off. And than they find one word and keep repeating it every single interview. 🤦🏻♂️ Competitive competitive competitive. Like enough already dude.
Guy is delusional at this point. How close are we to call it GarPax 2.0??
like I don't get it, I'm sorry. Knicks beat Grizzlies by 10 points on a previous game: is this already a sign to start showing pessimism? Or are you suggestion there's a collection of factors? BC I can't NEARLY see where's this degree of skepticism is coming from. In a situation when you got a squad with good chemistry, why would you risk that in favor of some assets that you don't know even fit or not. It's as if you GOT to make some changes just to make changes. As if you were getting fuccing Embid in return for AC or Demar. Crazy. Besides, this squad is a major reason behind Coby's and Ayo's growth at bare minimum.
Maybe you could make a video explaining exactly what your vision of the team is? Like if you think they should've traded to go for a championship run, or double down on youth growing, like what exactly did you want to see?
Cmon bulls good win
The 🤡 AK definitely screwed up on more stats than you mentioned Jamal. He said that he was very upset when the Bulls started 4-15! Dummy we were never 4-15,we were 5-14,as one of the head guys at the top of the organization he's obviously in over his head. Wish they'd hurry up and fire this 🤡!!
Test of how competitive this team is will come Saturday when they face the team directly above them in the standings and not Jaren Jackson Jr and a bunch of players on 2way contracts. Can they prove AK right…we will see Saturday.
bulls r 4 games behind 6th seed
I’m worried the bulls are gonna have an injury crisis by the end of the season. Ran a 9 man rotation tonight. We damn near always run a 9 man rotation. Not a ton of depth. Need PWill back.
In this AKME era, win is a win = band aid.
I seriously wonder if this will ever end (i know it eventually has to), but i just can't keep watching this team. How does this front-office think this is the right group of guys to compete (not their B.S definition of compete) but truly competing, this game shouldn't have been close, i just don't want to continue to see this team paying basketball.
I Watch every single video you do about the bulls and most of the time I agree with you but there is one thing that you keep repeating in quite every videos that I must object.
The competitiveness.
I'm a soccer coach in Switzerland. You can't expect a team or a group of players be competitive(as you mean) through all the match. First they(players) all have ups and downs. You need to accept that in one game some players will have a level that is not the same.
And second the opponent. How many time I have to hear:
We played a really bad basketball…we were not ready…no fire. Etc etc.
But actually there is an opponent who will make your life tougher. It's not always because of us that we ain't that good but most of the time it's because of the other team.
To your credit in this video you have a great view on the Grizzlies today.
A win is a win, but no one even cares anymore, even when the season's far from over.
This game could have gone the other way the Bulls could have easily lost this game but they won and I'll take a win over a loss any day
They’ve got no freakin plan. I really think they want to bring back Demar and run it back, again! If Derozan wants a new contract at a higher average yearly value than his last contract, there’s no way the Bulls can do that, unless they can move Lavine. Which isn’t happening unless or until he returns to an allstar level.
The sad truth is they need Drummond more than Sixers need Drummond.
I can’t even feel happy about this win. It’s just gonna delude AKME even more. Obviously Jerry has and always will be the main culprit, but it’s also obvious at this point that AK has no clue what he’s doing. He’s out of his league, and I don’t know how he went from finding Jokic and helping the Nuggets get a ring last season to whatever the fuck he’s doing here. It’s stunning.
Literally anything short of a ECF win, everyone has to go. Everyone. Management, coaches, players. Build around the young guys (except Terry, sorry but I don’t believe he’s gonna be anything)
AK was telling fairy tales 😀 anyway good victory against Memphis 🙂
we suck no way around it i’m glad for coby this szn but this team isn’t it i just need this era of bulls basketball to end… even all of our wins are either comebacks or barely escaping other teams 🤦🏽♂️ we not it rn AT ALL 😮💨
I miss GarPax
