I’d still take him on the Spurs. He’s even cheaper now. Convert Dom to a real deal and have Killian on a 2-Way.

I get everyone has given up on him and maybe justifiably so, but I would love for the spurs to pick him up now at basically no risk to them.

Once upon a time there was another Frenchman by the name of Boris Diaw who looked lifeless on the league worst Bobcats. He was a league laughingstock at the time. Thank God the spurs FO saw the potential in him in a new environment.

Spurs should take a flyer on him for sure. It doesn’t hurt and they can just not re-sign him in the summer.

People on this sub wanted the Spurs to trade Branham for Hayes. Now he’s on the street and can be had for nothing. Reddit GM’s…

I would pass as I have liked Wesley’s development, and I wouldn’t want to reduce his minutes in anyway.

Might as well pick him up once he clears waivers

Not sure where his playing time should come from but we’ll see I guess

  7. Honestly. I’d rather take a shot on a g-league guard. Hayes is pretty awful. How and why he got the opportunities he got with the Pistons is beyond me.

lol I know what some of y’all thinking with Hayes. And no. Wemby and him don’t need to have a French connection. Hayes can take that French connection overseas. Sorry to that man. Can’t have him taking away development from others

I still want us to pick him up on a 2-way. I feel like a year in the G-League and some good mentorship and development could change him into a decent backup pg

Like 3 months ago when Wesley was looking Really really rough i wouldn’t be against bringing him in, but at this point I think Wesley is just as good of a prospect so there’s not too much of a point.

Some of them wanted to TRADE for him lmao

None of us know what we’re talking about

  12. OsirisHimself1

I would take him but I’m a degenerate redditor who shouldn’t be listened to.

Put me with those that would be fine/happy if we picked him up on a minimum deal.

I had no interest in giving up actual assets for him in a trade, but getting him for a free swing is different. As a 21 big gaurd, who can play good defence – he would be fine towards the end of the bench, and he is still young enough that he may well end up reaching that potential (or could just stay as a good defensive backup gaurd).

I don’t think we should put too much weight into him getting cut by the Pistons. That is a team with plenty of gaurds, and in Ausar have a much better version of that same type of player, and 2 guys who should never be on the floor together. It may also have been a FO decision to just force Monty Williams’ hand so he cant keep playing him. (And/or the big minutes until now was to try and either artificially increase his trade value, or see if they wanted to keep him). I think it’s likely he finds his way back on a team either in the next few weeks or in the offseason.

    Wesley is better

There is nothing Killian can offer unless they’re looking for someone who Victor can converse with in french

I don’t think a second unit can be worse than the actual one when talking about ball movement. As long as you don’t give him shooting tickets I absolutely can’t believe it can be worse than iso Keldon iso Collins

The guy can pass, can defend, and cost nothing. If it does not work you just don’t sign him next year, whatever, it’s basically a cost free bet
