DO. NOT. RIDE. YOUR. SCOOTER. HOME. FROM. GAMES. IN. DETROIT.

  2. Tocallaghan95

That was a weird situation, glad it’s finally resolved. Hopefully he can actually go and play some ball now.

Always grateful for the games he torched the Celtics.

  3. AsizzlesU777

Go get that playing time Evan. Happy that you didn’t cause any issues regarding your playing time while also breaking a franchise record your first year here.

  4. This guy was as professional as you can be on his time here. Hope he does well

  5. SanctorumAeternam

Thinking someone spoke to him after his training camp discussion about knowing he could be a contributor – felt like he never really spoke to the media again after that. If he gets bought out, I’m sure Boston would reach out..

    All class.

Still had the opp to rip the Knicks basically ethering two years of his career and he still took the high road. A rarity. Go get yours, Evan.

  7. He thanked the fans but not the organization tho.

  8. What a bad signing from the second it was announced. This is is best contribution to the team. Good day sir.

  9. Legitimate-Cupcake26

Dude has been a class act throughout his very rocky Knicks tenure

  10. realmatic2e

I have nothing bad to say abt Evan, man was all class

  11. York_Villain

Those young guys in Detroit could learn a thing or two from him.

  12. YourAsianBuddy

He was stuck in a weird limbo for way too long. Glad he’s finally moving. I wonder if he’s actually gonna play minutes again

Really liked this guy, and it’s a shame that he just had no role here (other than being set aside until he could offset salary in a trade). He really embraced NY, and it’s sad that he lost almost two seasons of his career in purgatory – all the while taking it like a true professional.

Yes there was a little whine here or there, but under the circumstances it was really nothing. Truly wish Evan the best and hope he gets a good round of applause when he comes back to the garden.

    Get those minutes!

  14. LeftyMode

He can’t play defense but he can shoot. Pretty crazy what Thibs did to him. But he got paid.

  15. firstbreathOOC

I’m happy for him that he gets to play bball again and this didn’t drag out another year

  16. No-Mine-3982

Dude was classy. He went from a starter to rotting in the bench but was still clapping for our guys all the way through. Wish nothing but the best for him going forward.

  17. PhysicalMango

say what you will but he was always a professional and good teammate. was always on the bench cheering and clapping for the team

  18. Forward_Ride_6364

Broke the franchise record for 3s and then got benched for 2 years

He coulda said a lotta shit but didn’t, so much respect to a brother

Fournier is the rich man’s Austin Rivers, I think he’ll find some playing time for the next 2 years in the right situation

  19. whydoesgodhateus

He was a consummate pro. Best of luck to him

  20. NaughtyDirtily

REALLY confused why thibs never played him. He is a LEGIT shooter

  21. pagenotdisplayed

Rooting for this man to make 8 3s per game while playing no defense in Detroit

  22. Evan Fournier is a good dude… given the situation he was in. You can see in the games that he would hype and cheer up his teammates. Grade A professionalism.

  23. YurtlesTurdles

That’s classy. Sorry he’s in Detroit but at least he will play there. He’s a pro though and through.

That’s the Knicks single season 3 pt record holder right there.

  24. HipnotiK1

I expect him to be overseas next year. Wish him the best.

  25. manfromfuture

None of the fans he’s talking about are in this sub.

  26. gabrielcev1

I swear Thibs had some vendetta against him. Even in games we need some kinda scoring he refused to play him. Even in garbage time he didn’t play. He’s not that bad.

  27. Signed a contract offering generational wealth, broke the Knicks 3pt record, then became a solid bench cheerleader for 1 1/2 seasons. Not too bad.

Break more records in Detroit Evan!

  28. CaroleBaskinsBurner

I know he wanted to play but he still always seemed to be having so much fun hanging with the guys on the bench.

I wonder how much of him wanted to be traded to try to get the most out of the basketball he has left in him vs. How much of him was hoping the Knicks would have to pick up his team option this Summer and pay him $19M to be a cheerleader.

Because whatever his next contract is, it’s not gonna be remotely close to $19M. So I wonder if he was thinking “Ehh what’s one more year on the bench?” Lol

  29. GyantSpyder

Really impressed by Fournier as a person over the years. Proud he was a Knick.
