Pascal Siakam TRADED to the Indiana Pacers and it’s AMAZING…

Yo what’s going on y’all it’s con back here again today with another video I just sat down here to record an after the buzzer when the news dropped yesterday we got a report from Shams that the Pacers and Raptors were in decently Advanced discussions to trade

SE yakum over to Indiana we knew a SE yakum trade was coming but the Revelation that it was probably going to be the Pacers was a big one and today right around 2 p.m. Eastern the trade was finalized Pasco yakum is being traded to the Indiana Pacers giving

Tyrus hurn an allar level co-star the package in return for cakam is Bruce Brown Jordan war and three first round picks going to the Raptors as well as the Pelicans got involved sending kiero Lewis and a second round pick over to the Raptors in a bit of a salary dump it

Is a blockbuster deal one that helps solidify the Pacers as a pretty scary team in the Eastern Conference not just now but potentially for years to come I really like this acquisition for them and I’ll get to that in a moment as for the Raptors it just continues this

Rebuilding path that they’re on they’ve only got one player left now from the 2019 title run and that’s Chris bue siakam’s Gone kawai’s Gone L van vet marcco OJ noobi everybody from that team is gone outside of BU they’ve truly committed to this rebuild which I really

Appreciate I made a video not too long ago saying that the Raptors were wasting everybody’s time by trying to run this thing back they’ve now fully committed to this new era and I’m way more excited about the Raptors now than I have been for the past few years so let’s go ahead

And break down this trade from both sides I do think I want to start off with the Toronto Raptors because I don’t have as much to say and then we’ll go ahead and get into the Pacers for the Raptors I think it’s a pretty decent return overall they got three first

Round picks back I will say those first- round picks aren’t incredible two of them are this season which is supposed to be a bit of a weaker draft in 2024 one of them is the Pacers Zone pick which they’re already a playoff team and with the addition of seak I imagine

They’re only going to move up the standing so that’s probably going to be like a 20s pick maybe early to mid 20s depending on you know where they end up in the standings the other pick is the worst out of the Oklahoma City Clippers Houston and Utah Jazz picks so that pick

Assuming the Clippers and Thunder stay up towards the top of the Western Conference will probably also be in the mid to late 20s so it’s not two phenomenal first Dr picks in this year’s draft but still assets nonetheless the other pick is a 2026 pick from the

Pacers that’s top four protected so who knows maybe they deal some injuries or seaka ends up leaving which is a factor we have to talk about when we get to the Pacers and that pick ends up as like a top 10 pick a lottery pick at the very

Least that one is the most interesting one but outside of the draft capital I think there’s a lot of value to be had in this trade KIRO Lewis never got a lot of opportunities in New Orleans was injured a lot he’s only 22 years old even though it feels like he’s been in

The league forever he goes over to the Raptors maybe he ends up thriving at the very least could become a solid backup point guard and if you could get that out of the deal that’s pretty big you also get that second round pick in addition to him from New Orleans you get

Jordan War who’s had some fun moments is only 25 years old maybe he finds his footing over here in Toronto and becomes a part of your rotation for the future it’s just taking the swing on two young guys you get three first round picks as well as Bruce Brown who is really good

He was having a great season for the Pacers was an integral part to the Nuggets winning their title back last last season he could be flipped like he’s on a contract this season he’s got team option next year so a team could trade for him and keep him for the next

Season and a half I think he’s very valuable I wouldn’t be surprised if they were able to get a first round pick and some salary filler back for Bruce Brown and that could be the first round pick that’s really valuable the one they get in return from him if they decide to

Flip him to pretty much any number of teams I know as a thunder fan I would love Bruce Brown on this team if the Thunder wanted to deal Davis bains his contract over to Toronto alongside say a first round pick one of our many and some other salar fillers I wouldn’t hate

That at all and I expect if you ask a number of fans of contending teams they would be willing to do the same thing so I think he’s one of the crown jewels of this deal or even if you want to keep him like he helps you as a really good

Player right now you could trade him in the off season after you pick up his team option there’s a lot of routes they could go and I just like overall that they’ve committed to a rebuild they got something back for Pascal seaka who’s expiring same thing for ojan anobi and

In total for trading those two guys they got RJ Barrett Emanuel quickley Jordan War Kira Lewis Bruce Brown three first round picks and a second round pick for two guys on expiring deals I think that’s a pretty good haul overall I love their new Direction it’s fully Scotty

Barnes’s team now they’ve given him the keys the reain said go ahead just ball out the season see what you can do they’ve taken a swing on a bunch of young players they got some draft Capital overall I think M xiri did a really good job with these two deals and

I love the new Direction the Raptors are heading in now let’s talk about the Pacer side of this I absolutely love this deal for them the three first round picks they gave up seems like a lot but again they don’t have that much value and when you can add a allster caliber

Player and all ba caliber player in recent seasons in Pascal seak alongside your rising star in Tyrese I think you have to do that especially if they can convince him to resign which W says that pasal seak is excited about the deal and expected to be eager to work out a new

Contract with the franchise this summer which if you can keep him this is a home run of a trade those three first- round picks again seems like a lot part of the reason they had to give up three first was to hold on to some of their young

Pieces like jerus Walker who I love a lot and Benedict mathine who has a really high upside for this team seak now gives them a Bonafide coastar a great second option for Tyrese halberton and one that I think is going to fit perfectly here he’s the exact type of

Player that this team needed they needed somebody with size some defense and just someone who could reliably give you some offense alongside Tyrese as fun as some of the other guys on this team are if Tyrese isn’t playing this team really struggles now they’ve got someone you

Can put the ball in his hands you can let him operate and he can go out there and get you 30 points he can grab you 10 boards play some great defense facilitate for others I I think people realize how good Pascal sakam is this season hasn’t been his best although

He’s definitely improved as of late because the situation in Toronto was not at all optimal for a guy like SE yakum sakam thrives when he’s able to get downhill attack the basket and is surrounded by spacing you know what exactly what this Pacers team has spacing they’re one of the best

Offensive teams in the league they’ve got a number of great three-point Shooters around Pascal sakam the floor is going to be wide open for him to go ahead and attack inside get downhill you know play alongside Tyrus Halburn I I think the two-man game between those two

Guys is going to be lethal I mean Tyrese is the best playmaker that seak has ever played alongside imagine a pick and pop with those two a pick and roll while having all the shooters surrounding Tyrese’s passing ability the ability of SE yakum to go ahead and make a second

Pass if he needs to using his playmaking chops his ability to finish around the rim like those two are going to be one of the most fun pick and roll Duos in the entire league their two-man game is going to be so much fun also the three-point shot has been coming back

For SE yakum as of late on the season I believe he’s shooting only around 31% but it’s ticked up a lot recently outside of this past game where I think he sh like 0 of six he’s had a lot of games where he’s like three for five two

For five you know four for five just shooting a decent number of more threes and actually hitting them and I think now with a more wideopen system where he’s going to get a lot easier looks I think siakam’s going to thrive over there in Indiana I love this fit from

Imagine a lineup of tyres Alberton two of either Benedict Maan buddy heer Aon n Smith pasal sakam and Miles Turner that team has a lot of different looks they can throw at you they’ve got a lot more defensive versatility wh yakum who is a highle Defender I like that they have

Some size now it’s not going to fix this Pacers defense they still have a lot of problems on that defensive end but seak at least gives them another capable Defender someone with size with length which they desperately needed you’ve got two great creators one phenomenal one in

Tyrese and an underrated guy in se yakum you still got great spacing you’ve got some good depth around those guys cuz again you didn’t have to give up that many players that were big contributors obviously losing Bruce Brown hurts a bit but if you trade him for Pascal stum I

Think you take that every time they still have Andrew neard they still have Jaylen Smith Obie toppen Isaiah Jackson Off the Bench I’m hoping this opens up some more opportunities for jarus Walker he is really good I’ve said it a million times here on the channel I’m super high

On jarus he was one of my favorite players coming into this draft class and I think he could bring a lot to this team some more defensive toughness that they need they were very hesitant they didn’t want to give him up at all in this deal they didn’t have to they also

Kept buddy healed which I like a lot as a floor spacer one of the best three-point shooters ever alongside now cakam who again needs that space and giving Tyreek still that release valve this spacers team is really fun I think they got a lot scarier and they now just

Have more upside they’ve got a guy in SE yakum who is one of the top options on a championship team five years ago wasn’t that far removed that se yakum was an all-nba All-Star player coming right out of that Championship run he is really really good I think people have

Forgotten that because the Raptors haven’t been very good because he wasn’t in an optimal situation and now if he’s eager to resign you could have an Allstar potentially all NBA caliber player in seak next to Tyrese for the next four or five years because they keep his bird rights they can’t sign him

To the super max or anything but they can give him a lot of money and I think this thing is going to look really good I think they’re going to have a lot of success that seak is going to resign it’s hard to get co-stars for a guy like

Tyrese in a spot like Indiana you’re not going to be big players in free agency you’ve got to take advantage of deals when they pop up they did exactly that adding pasal seak might love the fit for this team especially if he stays long term now if somehow he leaves this trade

Looks a lot worse for them and I don’t like it nearly as much but I do think he’s going to end up staying W’s report gives me confidence and I just think this team’s going to be good so he’s going to want to stay here

He’s going to get a huge bag from them and I think it’s going to work out incredibly well if your young guys like mathine and jarus Walker amongst others keep developing alongside those two with stars this team’s got an incredibly bright future they already had one

Before this deal and now they make a big time splash I love it out of all the teams that could have traded for SE yakum I think this was my favorite spot for him he’s going to thrive Tyrese now is another option next to him Pacers fans should be very

Very excited they didn’t have to give up that much value to give their all NBA point guard a co-star and it’s one that’s going to make the Pacers a lot scarier in a playoff series I wouldn’t want to play this Pacers team if I one of those top seeds with their ability to

Just Tor you offensively now with a bit more versatility in seaka guy who’s proven who has done this before they’re going to be one of the scarier teams in that Eastern Conference playoff race just making it more and more difficult to project how series are going to go

This season feels like the playoffs are going to be absolutely ridiculous and the Pacers are now a new force that you have to think about when it comes to the Eastern Conference especially with that added Championship pedigree with seak coming over anyways I think that’s all

I’ve got for this video leave a like And subscribe if you enjoyed hit the notification Bell so you don’t miss out future videos comment down below your thoughts on this trade what would you gr it for each side who’s your biggest winner Who’s Your Biggest Loser do you

Think the Raptor got enough for SE yakum do you like the fit with seaka and Indiana as much as I do and how far could they go do you think this is now a second round team could you see them making the Eastern Conference Finals would love to know your opinions but

Again for right now I’ll see youall later real one say back he

After months of trade rumors surrounding Pascal Siakam, he has finally been traded over to the Indiana Pacers with Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora, Kira Lewis, and three first round picks heading to the Toronto Raptors. It’s the continuation of the Raptors’ new rebuilding direction and a further committal by the Pacers to build a scary team around rising superstar Tyrese Haliburton. The Pacers now look scarier than ever and it could be the beginning of a new juggernaut in the Eastern Conference. Let’s talk about it.

  1. as a pacers fan, this is huge for us, i am so excited to see what pascal can do next to hali. Could be a bit of a stretch but this trade could make us contenders

  2. Raps absolutely sold no way u lose a top player in franchise history js to get some picks??

  3. Picks are overvalued at this point, if siakam resigns then both teams won, especially if toronto can flip bruce brown into more assests

  4. Im disappointed i wanted to see him on a real contender.

But he will elevate Indiana good pick up for them

  5. Pascal helps Indy a lot if Hali is healthy and stays healthy. They aren't a championship contender tho. Warriors however are screwed 😂😂😂

  6. Brown perfectly fills the elite 3 and D void vacated by OG, maybe even better, since OG's best position is small forward, already occupied by Barnes. Brown is versatile in his skillset, able to play three positions offensively and on D, so he is more adaptable on offense, a great fit with their current perimeter rotation.. The Raptors seem to be committed to the kind of rebuild that keeps competitive players on the floor. That strategy ensures that when the right chemistry comes along, they can instantly compete. It would seem like they should just keep Brown, unless the perfect star trade comes along. He's better than Trent too, which can allow them to potentially let Trent and his substantial salary walk, using that salary to re-sign IQ instead. With Lewis it seems like he'll have no opportunities without an injury freeing up minutes. He's another expiring guy, and probably nothing more than that. Nwora has potential, but the minutes probably won't be there either. The draft capital could go a long way towards future star trades, should one come along. This really is good for the Raptors. Considering that it seems to be a year late to cash in on Siakam's peak value, yet it worked out great.

The Pacers were long projected to make this deal, but somewhat unexpectedly they get to keep all of their young guys in the process. They got Brown for free in the offseason, so this is basically adding an All-Star likely just for lower value picks, an A+ move. Their previous power forward rotation struggled playing up at center and defensively, and Siakam can improve in both of those aspects. while also bringing that second All-Star they've been looking for. With Brown and Nwora gone, 2nd year wing Mathurin should be able to win back some well-earned minutes. He's clearly an important part of their future, and he's shown that maybe he's ready to take the next step. That was one reason the Brown signing didn't sit well with me, since it would take important development minutes from Mathurin, but now that is resolved, Their talented rookie combo forward Walker also may have a chance to step into some of those freed up small forward minutes. He was projected as a plus defender in the draft, capable of defending wings, and he has dominated the G League on both ends, so some extra time in the real league is warranted. This trade does create a bit of a logjam at power forward, so I wouldn't be surprised to see someone get moved by the deadline.

  7. Love the video.
I have a question though: Why is Davis Bertans not used much in the OKC lineups. I know his contract is a bit much and he doesn't exactly fit with the young core, but as long as they have him, why don't they use him more? He is still a lights out shooter that can get his shot of extremely quickly. Also his size isn't exactly a problem and he has the effort on defense. (but maybe not the talent)

  8. This is insane. Since the Pacers have changed their starting lineup they have been a top 10 defense while easily being the top offense. Siakam will only increase their offense while uping this teams already growing defense. They didnt lose any of their insane depth as they had too many guards and Nwora was an unused player. This team was scary and have just got their final piece.

  9. I think any player in the NBA would want to play with Haliburton. He just makes the game easier for everyone. I expect Siakam to thrive. And I expect the Pacers to offer him a huge deal, and I think he'll accept it.

  10. 7:25 "Obviously losing Bruce Brown hurts a bit…" Does it? Aaron Nesmith has been playing about as well while costing half the price. No disrespect intended towards Brown, but he hasn't been the difference maker on defense that I'd hoped, and upgrading PF to Siakam helps significantly while the dropoff from Brown to Nesmith is marginal, and Nesmith seems to still be improving even as he was demoted from the starting lineup to the bench when Brown was acquired.

  11. Thank you for mentioning Chris Boucher name seems like the media here in Toronto like sportsnet for example wanted to exclude Boucher from the 2019 team just because he didn't play during the playoffs maybe only 1 game not sure but he was still part of the team

  12. The Pacers epitomize a really good rebuild on paper. They trade away an all star sabonis for a promising young star and stuff let him grow into the role and then get a good secondary star with him
