D’Angelo Russell to reporters when asked what kind of guy Spencer Dinwiddie is: “I’m a fan, but y’all will get to know him soon. I’ll let y’all dig into that.” Dinwiddie met with Rob Pelinka while the Los Angeles Lakers faced the New Orleans Pelicans.

I can’t imagine going into a situation where there’s less money AND a lower win percentage. I’m guessing Russell is just trying to pull him into the fold. The way I see it, if the Lakers couldn’t beat the world champs on the historic night of Kobe’s statue being unveiled, how are they going to get up for the playoffs?

Dude is going to get torn apart in LA. He isnt exactly most thick skinned and has been shit for years everywhere but in dallas. Toxic LA media will eat him alive, but oh well. He could have been nice here but he could also be terrible as I can just see Kidd running 3 man lineups made out of Luka/Kai/THJ/Hardy/Spencer instead of utilizing new found size and athleticism we have.

Why would he go to a poverty franchise like LAL

  4. Maybe dude just wants to be a millionaire in LA, hard to blame him

Spencer’s from LA, grew up a Lakers fan so he’d be playing in front of family and friends for his hometown team. He’s more likely play more minutes there instead of off the bench behind Kyrie/Luka and fighting for minutes w/Exum. If he does end up there it wouldn’t be a shocker.

Basketball-wise he’s had the most success in Dallas and they can offer more money than the Lakers this season so there’s that.

Would’ve been a nice move, he played some of his best basketball for us. Can’t fault him for going home tho.

Hardy better be ready to take advantage of those minutes.

This guy might be close to being washed. He’s been terrible this year. Sure would have been nice to have him as a third or fourth ball handler but if the Lakers are looking at him as a potential starting point guard… Good luck with all that.

  8. Then Mavs go after Morris. Thats fine. Spence woulda been a good addition, but if he chooses LA, the minutes will just stay with Hardy.
