Fun, but overrated at the time. Kind of like Melo.

Went to a bunch of games as a kid. I loved watching him play, was one of my favorite players, a cool era

Crazy that we were able to trade him for Chauncey. I don’t think anyone really understood how much AI fell off that that early into the season
Shenanigans80h
If we’re being totally honest, disappointing. It was cool and he had some good moments but he never elevated us like a lot of people thought he would.

I loved that team. Melo and AI never were going to work, but it was fun to watch

Like everyone else I was beyond hyped when he came here and thought it was going to equate success. Even if it didn’t pan out it was an exciting time.

They say strip clubs never recovered when A.I. left town

Fun to watch at times, but very frustrating. AI wasn’t a winner and exacerbated all of Melo’s bad habits and tendencies. The difference when we traded AI for Chauncey was stark.

Top 3 mid-range game of all time. So much fun to watch, especially in person.

When we were first linked with him, I remember not wanting it to go down. Didn’t think he was a good fit.
When we pulled the trigger anyway, I got on board and had a good time. He made the team more fun, even if he didn’t move the needle at all. But I still kept wanting us to flip him for a more true PG.
When we did – and got Chauncey – I was the most hyped I’ve ever been for a Nuggets trade. That Chauncey trade is up there with the AG trade as one of the best in our history.

Fun as hell and paved the way for Mr. Big Shot to come in to town and blow the lid off the place

Fun to watch, but didn’t bring winning habits. That team was like the anti-2023 Nuggets. Two #1 overall picks (AI, KMart), a #2 (Camby), and a #3 (Melo) who didn’t fit together. Anthony Freaking Carter was a starter and had his best-ever season putting up 8/3/5. KMart was the only starter who played real defense (Camby played highlight defense) and the bench was full of knuckleheads like JR Smith and Yakhouba Diawara.

A solid waste of year. They traded for a lesser player in Billups and got way better. Turns out a guy who shoots 40% overall and doesn’t want to share isn’t good for success with a young scorer as a franchise center piece in Melo
Ok_Buffalo6474
One of my all time favorite players. He was an icon to me and I’ll never forget when his shoes went on sale and my dad had a coupon so I got them for my birthday. Knew it wouldn’t work but damn it was fun to watch especially that 50 pointer against the lakers.

AI was good on the Nuggets. He passed a lot and played hard, was fun to watch and had a fairly efficient season. He gambled on D a lot though. That era was when I started watching almost every regular season game. The nuggets were really popular at that time.

It’s interesting that everyone seems to remember him as a disappointment, because statistically his 07-08 regular season was one of the best of his career.
Led the nba in minutes played, averaged 26 and 7 on by far the best efficiency of his career, nuggets hit 50 wins for the first time in the Melo era.
Obviously the playoffs were a disappointment and he did not play as well in those games, but that was pretty typical for those nuggets.

Song is annoying as fuck. But loved me some AI back in the day! Made the Nuggets really fun to watch aside Melo
DammitBobby1234
The most hyped I’d ever been as a nuggets fan when I was a kid. That team was iconic and what made me interested in playing for my schools team.

This might be one of the worst songs I’ve heard in a while.
