There’s just no way Killian Hayes is worse than Branham right?

  2. CStradale

Spurs fam did show up in Brooklyn tonight, another nice showing in NYC. Too bad team didn’t

  3. I might get downvoted into oblivion for saying this, but I didn’t get the impression that this team played together. They kinda play apart a little. It is what it is, it’s a young team

  4. Spiritual_Echo_1000

Julian sucks, Collins sucks, the perimeter defense sucks

  5. CoyotesSideEyes

Well, that was about as enjoyable as getting kicked in the nuts during a root canal when you already have a migraine

Idc that he got lucky and the lottery went his way, If wright doesn’t make real changes this summer he should be on the hot seat.

Man this is so disheartening, I feel like we all say the same shit every night on how to fix this team and we just have to keep enduring this nightmare of a season. The inability to pass it to Wemby in good spots is asinine and the losing culture we have built is not a good look. Yeah we’re young but OKC has a winning culture and their role players flourish. This summer is going to be crucial for the future of this team as this year is a complete wash.

Barlow got more minutes than Collins so that is a plus lol. Wemby’s 3 point barrage was fun. Wesley continues to contribute in his minutes.

This was a soul crushing one but they moved the ball well and got a lot better looks than we did, and we couldn’t throw it in the ocean. And Wemby has to get more aggressive on the boards instead of just getting the ones that fall straight to him. You can see that he’s tired and the break can’t come soon enough.

Stopped watching 2 minutes into the 4th but would like to see Wemby set an actual screen at some point. No one is passing to him when he does the quick duck-in and it allows the screen defender to cover the passer and the big. Wouldn’t be a problem if we had a competent pnr ball handler but alas.

Out of the whole league, I think julian and branham(when he starts) are the worst starters in the league

  11. Hall of fame performance from the free throw line, baby!

I already miss late December to early January. Wemby’s gas tank is really showing now but also mentally (and he does say this a lot in interviews) I think he is mentally tired also. He isn’t as sharp on defense and is giving up plays he didn’t use to. Every night he has to come out and be the biggest positive on both offense and defense.

For the rest of the team, the defense has been noticably worse from that nice stretch. Just too many WIDE OPEN looks for the opposition. The but whoopings will keep coming if people don’t improve their effort and mental focus.

Yes, the team is 10-43 so they aren’t good.. but there are good losses and bad losses. The past couple of games have not been good losses at all.

GSG, long road trip to go. Let’s keep supporting these kids.

The falling asleep after drafting Wemby strategy is paying off handsomely.

I find it hard to believe we couldn’t have found a better player than Champagnie with the 33rd pick we traded away.

  14. Designer-Action3573

Our perimeter defense has gone from bad to non existent.

  15. PatNewbie

    1. Still hate Champagnie and Collins.

    2. I wish Jeremy was more aggressive. It feels like if he faces too much defensive resistance early in a game he just decides to focus on defense and doesn’t even look to score anymore. Basically some of Devin’s and especially Keldon’s tunnel vision pre-determined shots…I wish those could go to Jeremy sometimes.

    3. Pop has got to adjust the defense on 3-pointers. Every single team lights them up from 3, including teams that aren’t even good at shooting. The overhelping and random useless soft doubles and helping one pass away has got to go. That’s a good way to develop bad defensive habits later on. PLEASE stop lol.

    4. So they can take another step in their development, can the new shooting coach be locked in the gym with Blake and Jeremy and help them with their forms? Why do they shoot like that

    5. I hope Barlow gets a full contract once we banish Marcus Morris. I hope he takes all of Zach’s minutes and we never see him again either. He’s our only hard-working rebounder and he’s lowkey like one of our best defenders, even out on the perimeter. I love him and I wanna see him more.

  16. BrightenedCorner

Excited to see the team on Monday in person. Hopefully Wemby plays.

  17. Empty-Mall-1636

This summer we need to make drastic changes. We need to set a winning culture here or else we just become the Pistons getting lottery picks but never winning. A LOT of players need to be moved this summer, a star/skilled PG should be our first priority to unlock Wemby’s potential.

  18. mongumongu

Just sign Killian Hayes. Can’t be possibly worse than Julian or Malaki

  19. First_Jackfruit_9726

Hard to win when the worst player on the floor every minute of the game is on your team. (Branham, Collins, Champagnie)

  20. ChucoTeacher

We are 20 points worse, nowhere near the same class as the Brooklyn Nets and the Brooklyn Nets are awful.

It’s more than a lack of experience and depth.

  21. 789Trillion

I don’t think people who don’t watch him every night realize how much work Wemby has to do just get the ball inside the arc. Every possession it’s 10 seconds of banging, grabbing, slapping, doubling and whatever else by the opponent. It looks taxing. All just to get the ball usually 16 feet from the basket and he needs to bang again. It was a lot better when he started initiating from the outside, but it didn’t matter much cause we don’t have anyone that can actually capitalize on his gravity.

Not just Wemby but everyone looks gassed. This is the worst Tre has looked in awhile. The uber confident Sochan from a month ago has been replaced by the Uber passive version. This team needs the all star break.

Might need to stop watching the Spurs for a few weeks. Something about this game just broke me. I know I shouldn’t let the results of a sporting event affect me this much but I really gotta take a step back.
