People against this move are so weird. Dinwiddie is an easily 12-15 off the bench if he’s locked in. And he’s a playoff riser like Gabe would’ve been

I, like a lot of people, was disappointed in a lack of ANY type of trade at the deadline to improve the team. I agree there were no huge needle movers that were worth losing a 1st round pick for. But I was upset at not using 2nd round picks to get players like O’Neale etc.
But the dinwiddie signing more than makes up for it. In fact, it turned out to be the best outcome of them all, because we were able to keep both dlo AND the pick.
Don’t let dinwiddie’s fg% fool you. Most advanced metrics say dinwiddie is arguably even better than Murray. You don’t have to shoot a good shooting % to have a positive impact on the team (i.e. Fred van vleet). Dinwiddie has an elite ast/to, attacks closeouts, creates shots at the rim, and has a good catch & shoot percentage. It’s more than meets the eye
