Kristaps Porzingis REACTS to All Star Snub | Celtics vs Wizards Postgame Interview

Perfect this works for us the chairs really questions for KP you guys got it how you feeling it looked like you’re kind of a little sore there in the thir water shots that’s why you’re feeling good physically yeah to be honest I feel great feel great a little bit I feel

Great feel great and uh I was having fun out there playing against my former teammates my former team and our fans were you know supporting us throughout the game incredible as always uh tough game for us like course coming into the game everybody expect us to run through everybody and especially maybe against

The Washington team that their record is not that good but but to be honest they they played hard they played like Fast got out in transition and and and you have to give some credit to them for for being up at halftime uh second half we we did do a

Better job of getting back doing what we’re supposed to do um and and and and and getting the job done which is the most important balance like you know you’ve been in the league a long time knowing that there’s going to be some games in

The middle of the Year where you know it just doesn’t go your way as much and tighten it up a little bit to make sure there’s not that kind of you know SL I don’t think I don’t think like um oh like we we need to overreact now because

We haven’t been playing or maybe like beating everybody by 30 lately like we did beginning of the season um we can play better for sure we can play better and and I think all of us like individually we have to look at the things that we can do better um but

Overall there’s going to be different nights and like variations of the games and some teams are going to shoot crazy like the Lakers game you know and and it’s just you know you going to lose some of the games even if you’re you know the better team on paper um of

Course we don’t have a we don’t want to have bad habits um but I don’t think we’re nowhere near there and and I think uh the coaching staff is doing a great job of having us you know do the do the necessary things to keep building towards uh winning a championship the

Way Joe described it to us is you have to go into every game without expectations about what should happen how difficult is that to do in reality good question it’s very difficult because especially you know if you think about our record it’s very easy for us

To be like okay we go in this game and we’re confident that we’re going to win but a lot of times it just doesn’t uh it just doesn’t happen for us you know we have to we have to win the game you know and and and and and we have to have

That humility of like okay we have to earn this win again and again and again and you know and it’s it’s tough it’s tough you want to you know nobody wants to like go out War every night and and you make this make you earn this win

Unless you know it’s maybe a big rival or big game like it’s much easier to get going for those kind of games but but these are the tough games that we have to make sure that um that we stay on track that we do what we need to do you

Know not looking at who’s in front of us just you know just just just um just doing what we need to do and and and that’s it Denny and Anthony were just talking about how they miss you but they’re really happy for you to be like in this winning situation going against

The Wizards tonight did it kind of help remind you of like just what you were playing for last year what you’re playing for this year yeah no it’s uh to be honest now like playing against him I think like K was guarding me a big part of the game

And you know I don’t think he realized last year what I was doing for them all the tricks all the all the drawing the fouls little bit grab here and there you know and I was like he’s like you’re a dirty you know you’re swearing I was

Like brother you didn’t realize I was the all the stuff that all the little things that I was doing for you guys you know uh but no we were having fun out there there and and and you know talk some smack back and forth and U it was

Competitive and I know those guys wanted to win even the head coach Brian Keef he was talking some smack to me and and that’s my guy from New York you know um so it was uh it it was fun it was competitive and those guys came to play

So it was a good match Chris so many so many guys can do so many things some nights you’re going to score big and some nights you’re not what’s the process been like for you guys to recognize which matchup is the one to go to and kind of adjust to that

Throughout the game different match ups present themselves good question um I think we’re like we always want to find the right balance between okay we want to you know attack this matchup or we just want to playit and the other side like okay we just want to play in the flow and just

See what happens you know we have so much talent that each night you can live differently even if we prepare to do something something else open opens up because you know they’re doing you know a counter to whatever we’re trying to do so it’s always reads throughout the game

And U honestly it’s a it’s a I’m just grateful to uh play with this level players around me you know um it it does make life we we make life easier for each other and a lot of times it’s um it’s much more easier to play with uh

With high level players like we have on our team does it bother you not making feel start team to be honest no to be honest no um of course there’s some like prestige in that no and and and um maybe 5 years ago that was something I was that was always on my

Mind um but uh it doesn’t change anything to be honest there’s a big part of me that’s kind of happy that I could just go to Miami or somewhere where there’s son get some tan lift some weights prepare my body for the postseason or or or rest of the season and then postseason

Um so there’s definitely some extra rest and extra time that I can invest in my body to um to prepare for what’s coming and and and and and and get some tan also thank

  1. Kristaps, you don't need to premise any comment with "to be honest".
Celtic fans trust and respect you big time.

  2. Without him no rings . He makes so much difference in close games. I so appreciate his game and so happy to have him 😀. Much love 💖 Porzingis

  3. He’s been so good all season. The only times he’s been bad was on nights after getting load managed cause missing games takes u out of ur groove. Once he racks up consecutive games he always balls out.

  4. Teammates should sense who is best shooter today and move him forward and it's definately will not be the same guy each time if it's real team, not backvocals of Doncic😂

  5. What I like most about this dude is how appreciative he is of the fanbase and Celtics organization as a whole, you can tell he genuinely enjoys being here. Love this current team, the passion is back, hopefully we can close the deal and get the job done in June

  6. This is the OG Unicorn right here. This dude has changed and unlocked the full potential of this team. He’s 7 ft 2, that can protect the rim, space the floor with his shooting and has an insane post game. And he’s unselfish and just wants to win. Just gotta keep him healthy and ready to go for playoffs. Go Celtics 🍀

  7. Really don’t understand how he didn’t work anywhere else besides Boston and Washington. He’s too damn good. Turn injuries off, please.

  8. Love the KP redemption arc he had some ups and downs in his career but now he's in a good place not just with his game but being able to play on a good org where he can thrive.

  9. Kp is no doubt an All star. If you check out he’s number u will see how clutch this man is. The Celtics would no be where they are if KP wasn’t on this team and that’s a fact. KP will be a huge reason if they get a Ring or not. Watch out for the Knicks if they stay healthy they will be a huge threat to us no doubt. The Celtics gotta do a better job when playing the best teams I notice when facing great teams we tend to lose ourselves but it’s only the season and can’t wait for the playoffs. Let’s go Kp

  10. To be honest the Wizards suck. We didnt come out here trying play them until. They decided to do sprints and suicides. Said KP
