[Smith] Is this day and age for Gary? Three years and $80 million, with the last year maybe a player option.

    Other notes from his mailbag:

    On why they traded Dennis:

    >Schröder was not going to be happy as a backup on a 32-win team, and he wasn’t going to be here when things turned around so freeing up money and letting go somewhere else is fine. Barnes will be a backup point for now, and I presume they’ll add one with one of their open roster spots.

On Poeltl’s high FG% and why he isn’t involved more in the offense:

    >I guess the simple answer is that Poeltl, whose shooting range extends to about the restricted area, gets most of his buckets off the play of others and rolls after setting screens. If they ran stuff for him — and I doubt there’s a Poeltl play in the playbook — that percentage would plummet. He basically scores off the play of teammates.

    “His defense is pretty good”….lol

That’s more than I’ve seen most others project

Why in the world would anybody pay 27 million per year for Gary?

He is a midlevel guy, and i wouldn’t even want to pay him that.

Do they even watch games?? I’m starting a trend that GTJ walking is advantageous since we have cap space to offer Monk/Melton some bag in FA

Let him walk and the minutes should go to Grady. Team friendly rookie contract,no brainer

What is Doug smoking there is no world that Gary gets that much lol

He’s a MLE guy right now, maybe slightly above

How do you cover the team for your whole career but still be so clueless?

  9. Infinite_Physics220

3 years/45 million the the absolute most I would give him

If a team wants to pay $27M for him, I will personally drive him to that city and during the car ride we will discuss how I ended up getting the position to drive him to said city.

Who actually watches this team, and Gary in particular and thinks to themselves: yeah, he deserves to be a $27 million player.

    What is this dude on

What? No… No, thx, but no thx. No way. What the hell?

Screw getting fired, If they try to sign him to something even close to this, Masai and Webster should be subjected to a firing squad đŸ€Ł

This is why I wanted him gone at the deadline, cause I’m aware this is an article, but based on the “Lucrative” contract talks on the off-season, wouldn’t be shocked if this might be somewhat close to his asking price Lmaoo
