Clarkson played 32 minutes didn’t love that he was three of eight from three so shout out to that but he was also uh one of four from inside the ark which made him four of 12 overall which you know isn’t great numbers if if you catch my
Drift um that said he did not have any turnovers today so that was a positive right and his box score plus minus was not the worst on the team he was only a negative eight um keante also got 30 and a half minutes four of 11 from the field
He missed all five of his three so again his shooting streak has uh come to a grinding halt uh you know that was uh unfortunate Taylor Hendricks played uh 17 and a half minutes struggled a little bit it was nice to see him hit at 1 three from the
Wing um obviously he’ll get better with time but it just took it’s GNA take it’s going to take a little bit of time but I’m glad he was able to get his feet wet now tht also got installed back in Sala because of course there was nobody else in existence for us
Um one of six from the field ironically enough 0 of2 so it’s been a while since he’s hooped he was also 59 from the free throw line which uh was not good as you can imagine um we had four rebound four rebounds from him three of them being offensive he had
Two assists though so that was cool no turnovers seven points box SC plus minus of a negative six we found ourselves in a very interesting hole and overall situation things were not ideal but they happened um hold before I keep going he said how much you want to bet that one homie

Where if he ends up playing up to standard in these next 10 games let’s say he gets acclimated within 10 games um depending on how we play particularly our biggest games are going to be against the Golden State Warriors right we play them four times we have to win
Those right we can’t go one and three we can’t go 0 and four we we I really don’t want us to split it because we have a tough schedule against a lot of really good teams so we’re gonna have to we can’t split the series we have to Full

He has to get acclimated early we have to force feed him right now gave up fonio gave up alen the minutes are there it’s time to play him right we saw him get 17 today I expect he’ll probably start playing between 20 to 22 is 24ish

Would be like that all the time you could argue he might be a 1B kind of character maybe not onea because the playmaking wasn’t particularly there that game if I remember correctly though he did have I want to say like two or three assists if memory doesn’t fail
Me but he still he needs that extra dog person and for me personally it’s been Colin seon but I always wanted another one right I feel like if we have two two a type players and one one b2a player along with strong depth or or like

Always know where he needs to be what kind of play needs to make how far he needs to slide over in the zone when he’s overplaying himself when he needs to get back Dunn will tell him that Jordan Clarkson doesn’t do that sort of thing that’s not the type of leader
That’s not his play style so we’re basically having a shot chucker on the floor with the guy that’s trying to learn how to properly play the game we want him to play you can’t have the shot chucker do that that’s not his you don’t want to make that that his
Responsibility because he’s not going to turn him into the player you really want him to be because the shot shuer doesn’t lock in on defense all the time so if he’s sitting there on the court he’s like oh if I do what he does I’ll get
The same minutes as him right and to be fair Jordan Clon doesn’t always deserve the minutes that he gets but you don’t want Keon to pick up the bad habits that Jordan Clarkson has Chris Dunn has a lot of chill more mild habits now obviously we want Keon shooting more than Chris
Dun but right now the biggest issue with Keon shooting is his catch and shoot threes as we found out last stream right off the dribble we’re not super concerned but you know he didn’t hit one today going all five from three is pretty damaging regardless of what type
Of player you are like if Larry goes 0 five from three we’re like uh he got strapped today if he continuously has bad games shooting you know one of five one of six two two of eight like we’re gonna be like oh Larry what’s going on
Because that those are big shots as they accumulate over a sample size because we’re not GNA grab every board right and then our credit that’s better than a live ball turnover because that’s transition defense going back the other way and we got we get packed up a lot of

He’s on an expiring contract so if we don’t like it we can just let him walk but I think that he might he is probably the only person we traded for that I could see playing themselves into a contract now that’s not to say that the other that the other lovely gentlemen aren’t

Defenders so that put you in a situation where now you have a rookie who’s just now getting his feet wet having to take the hardest defensive assignments and at times protect the rim while also being continually assaulted every possession of the game which is rough it’s not great either way you
Look at it but it’s valuable experience for him nevertheless if if you really want to go that way um we lost o and KO for literally their 28th pick and didn’t amount to anything yeah uh you think you would be able to get Deon Murray with a package

Half shots out of 12 and a half shots that he’s taking he’s going one for six from Beyond The Arc basically and he’s hitting almost like 2.8 out of three and a half free throws that he takes I can live with that 77.8% from the free throw

Field and 29% shooting from three 87.5% shooting from the free throw line that’s kind of crazy for Jordan Clarkson now to put that into context compared to last season when he played and actually started in all in all 61 games um he played 32 and a half minutes he
Shot 44 and a half% from the field so he’s down 3% shooting from the field he shot 33.8% from the three-point line on two more attempts so on two less attempts he’s shooting 5% 5% worse yeah his free throws are up on. three less right he’s up 6% he shot
81.6% last season and as far as rebounds go he’s down point6 assist he’s actually up to a career high lowkey side note um at 4.8 steals roughly in line with everything else blocks obviously negligible but in line with everything else his turnovers are still up these past two years obviously because he’s
Taking on more of the uh Point role a little bit more of the requiring him to be an assist guy he had a career high three turnovers per game last season he’s down to 2.7 this season but this puts him way way ahead of the the Third
Place season which was way back his third year in the league he averaged two turnovers outside of that he’s always averaged at highest 1.9 but usually around 1.4 1.5 1.6 so just something to keep in mind um and then he averages 17.3 points per game compared to the 20 that he averaged
Last season so second most points in or third most points in his career overall his shooting percentages are down um his three percentage is the most concerning considering the fact that he not not only dialed back the number of Threes he was taking but he’s also hitting a significantly less a significantly lower
