In a way, the Lions are like the 2018 Chiefs. Chiefs had a great offense but a historically bad defense. Though Lions defense isn't that bad, there is room for improvement.

1. You don't yet know if we actually have a "Patrick Mahomes" on the team or not because you haven't seen Hendon Hooker play. That would be like the Chiefs and Andy Reid overpaying Alex Smith after a good season back in 2018 without ever giving their rookie QB a shot behind center.
2.
