Will tremendously help this team, Klay’s legacy, and even Klay’s pockets if he truly does accept the role of being like Heat Ray Allen.

Klay loves this organization and fan base. We (at least the true fans) love him back. His dad has always said he will not leave the Warriors.

  3. EnthusiasmBright1495

He needs to lose some more weight. Build endurance. Ala Ray Allen. Focus on mid range as well. And the set 3s.

  4. cosmicvitae

Him accepting a Heat era Ray Allen role is soso big for the team

He’s saying all the right things. The last step is his shot selection has to match that mentality.

I believe he meant what he said but I’m not sure he can accept it subconsciously. If he can finally realize he’s not the same guy and focus on adapting his role and accept that he’s going to get paid less and the years will prob match up to Dray/Steph then good.

  7. Once CP3 comes back we’ll see feet set Klay again 🙂

  8. AggressiveRegret

This is definitely the first time he’s said anything like this, right? This feels huge.

I mean Klay is not stupid, he would talk to other franchises in free agency and no one is offering him a bag anymore to be a 20 ppg scorer on a competing team.

He likes it in Golden State he’s not going to leave unless it’s a much better situation.

Klay can do this, but he needs to get his 3PT% up, IMO. Part of that could just be better shot selection, but as it is, he’s #5 on the team behind Steph, LQ, Dario, and **Draymond** (!!), and he’s less than 2% better than CP3, MM, and BP. He needs to return to being an elite distance shooter to be a significant contributor.

Look at this dude trying to save face after realizing he ain’t getting anywhere near 2/48. He’s looking at the vet minimum.

He’s at the Hornets Tony Parker moment of his career.

Dubs are gonna let him walk for more money. Easiest way to break up the big 3 in that they can say it’s Klay’s decision.

Always thought that humble shooters age gracefully

  13. I hope so but it’s a huge bag fumble if he really turned down a 2 year 48 million extension this past offseason lol.

This was obvious, him rejecting the first offer was him betting on himself. There has to be some awareness that if he isn’t good enough it’ll be way lower than the offer, yet he still took that risk. In a way he’s saving us money 😮‍💨

  15. PurePetroleum

Klay is gonna hit some of the biggest shots of the season, just you wait. Loving the vibes right now.

  16. FalcoLamborghini

Klay is a spot up shooting specialist

His shot making could dip if he deviates from that role but so long as he does that, he’s fine.

You’re not ganna find a better spot up shooter than Klay and that particular skill doesn’t go anywhere so long as he sticks to the role.

He lead the entire NBA in 3s last season. You dont go from that to bench player in just a few months. Ya really falling for the bait in wanting him benched during a time where he’s deviated from his initial role

  17. DiamondNo4475

KLAY is slick-this quote says it all. He is the King of the modest FLEX.

  18. hidey_ho_nedflanders

The best news I’ve heard since yesterday’s SB loss honestly

  19. whocares139

As much as I want to believe him, he better start showing it this year.

  20. buckdancerschoice

This gives him and the team the best chance to win another championship.
