Twin update

Interesting to see how the twins stack up against one another so far. Ausar raced out to the early lead, but Amen is proving draft boards correct now that he’s come back from injury and got his legs in the NBA:

Ausar still leads in points and rebounds per game, but he’s also playing five more minutes a game.

Per 36:

Amen — 14.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 2.8 stocks, 50/16/67 splits and 55.1 TS%

Ausar — 12.6 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 2.9 stocks, 48/15/64 splits and 51.5 TS%

Looks like scouts have been correct so far. Amen is a superior ball handler/playmaker of the two, which allows him to get to the rim a bit easier and make more plays for teammates.

Both guys are exceptional athletes with a high BBIQ, especially on the defensive side where they’ve both shown all-defense potential. But both guys have also been awful shooters from 3.

I think the Rockets made the right selection.

  1. Not really fair to compare P36 numbers when Ausar is playing 30% more minutes than Amen and Ausar has started 27 games and Amen has played 33 games.

I find it so hard to comprehend a shooting guard/point guard in today’s NBA can hit 2 threes in a row, go on to miss their next 8 and that’d still be statistically above average for them.

Is shooting genetic or something lmao. How are both of these guys so bad at it?

Meanwhile not only is Steph the best ever but his dad and brother are snipers too

being on the Pistons probably doesn’t help his numbers lol
