missing dunks and layups when he’s wide open just feels so strange. Like he still has hops so why can’t he just dunk it every time with two hands??

If Russ can’t finish they could always try the Harden-Powell-Coffey-George-Leonard small 5

  2. That first play and when TMann lost it on the fast break trying to do a behind the back dribble really felt like the momentum shifters. Couldn’t catch up after that

There was just no reason to play him 30 minutes. He should never take more shots than Norm or Coffee. He’s left *so open* for a reason. Russ is a great guy to bring in for ~5- minute stretches to inject some life into the game or be an energy guy, but after that the opposing team figures him out and they learn how to fuck up our offense. Keeping him in THROUGH THAT is bad.

I don’t know why he feels like he’s gotta try and take it to Gobert, either. Gobert owns him. That laughing at his freethrow shit clearly gave the TWolves whiteboard material that they’re holding on to. And for what?

Russ has matchups and he has spots in the rotation for sure, but forcing him 30 minutes is just not it. And him always thinking he should be taking 10+ shots hurts us more often than not. Feels like whether he’s playing 15 minutes or 30 he’s trying to get his 10+FGA. His transition finishing is like looooww percentile, his 3pt shooting is very bad, his post ups are ok? If he’s not focusing on playmaking idk man.

He’s looking off so many open shooters just to try to score in traffic in these clips.

15-20 mins a night is perfect for him, going back to being the backup PG when Harden is out. The more Harden minutes, the less Russ minutes. That’s the formula against most competitive teams.

We went from bringing him off the bench for Harden to play 15-20 minutes to 30 minutes with Harden in the same lineup…the change we made back months ago is not playing them together at all…why are we back at mid November mindset?…especially vs a team like T-Wolves…he can’t drive to the basket vs Gobert and they don’t respect his 3 point shooting leaving him open…hope last night was a slap in the face for everyone.

Where’s Paul George MAX extension player highlight reel?
Wish he actually drove to the basket like Westbrook.

That 2nd half was atrocious. In a game where most players struggled to get quality shots, Russ got hella opportunities to convert and shift momentum. Many of them easy or uncontested. Ik it’s not just him, but this shit is awful be better

Older he gets the more point blank misses?

  8. Dependent_Patient938

Dude lost his rim pressure teams just leave him wide open he is unplayable against Minnesota because of Rudy

  9. yeah you can’t play Russ against good teams, much less play him for 30+ minutes
