The real question is, can Nurse’s coaching schemes limit Payne’s defensive inability enough to maintain a top 10 defense when team is healthy? I think yes.

After watching the past few games, Payne has way over exceeded my expectations. If he continues to play like this he will see minutes going forward. I loved Bev here but Cam is an upgrade at this point. Lowry is relatively cooked, I don’t know how much he’ll be playing by playoff time even if Nurse has him starting immediately.

Pat Bev isn’t a good player. He is a great leader and a tremendous vibe though. Nothing but luv for Pat, and I hope he comes back to Philly next year/becomes part of the org, but we are better without him

Both players provide different skills but at the end of the day are the same level of player, hence why they are both on minimum contracts. Payne is better on offense, Bev is better on defense… neither plays over a 38 year old Kyle Lowry in the playoffs.
At the end of the day who gives a flying hell which is better? This the hill you’re dying on?
