What’s wrong is his skillset doesn’t fit with the starting lineup. He’d be much better suited on a team that needs a primary ball handler and has the shooters/defenders at every other position that can cover his glaring weaknesses.

He’s a bust who was picked directly before two future all stars.
I know we have the brightest future in the league because Presti secured Jalen the way he did in 2022, but his 2021 draft won’t be looked back on fondly apart from Wiggins @ 55.

Look at all these wasted possessions. Now imagine Joe/Wiggins/Hayward in there instead. We could be running away with the 1 seed if we weren’t carrying dead weight every possession.

He just can’t shoot he should be coming off the bench when Hayward plays. I hate how him and Westbrook do the same thing. They should either take a mid-range (especially Russ) shoot a floater (especially Giddey) or drive and kick to a shooter.

We are second in the west with an incredible young team with no expectations and all we can do is talk about how bad Giddey is. He hasn’t played good at all, but Mark and Sam know a hell of a lot better what they are doing then we do.
