Jayson Tatum and Celtics Too Much For Brooklyn. Nets Lose At Home
Nets had an uphill battle on Tuesday night, taking on the Celtics in the first of two meetings before the All-Star break.
Cam Thomas had a tough night on the defensive end, but turned on the offensive bag in the second half. While Mikal Bridges never got fully into rhythm, he still managed to help the Nets back into this one late.

Brooklyn plays visibly better with Shroder on the floor. Obviously Boston is the better team but it was a good game down the stretch. Ben Simmons 5 points on 1-5 shooting so that nice. But Mikal and Cam played great. And even the rookie Wilson had some clutch moments in the 4th but it’s still a loss. This is the happiest I’ve ever been seeing us lose because the potential Dennis Shroder brings to our offense is immense
We looked better, we might've beaten any other team tonight
I might have a controversial view, but they really really exploited Cam Thomas as a defender and scored mostly over him when he was on the court with switches etc to make it work even more.. That defensive issue meant a lot less good transition plays for Simmons to use as well. Not giving Cam hate, but it is a serious weakness they will continue to exploit that they need to find more ways to work around, especially the forced switches.
You will have to deal with KP next.. He’s only averaging about 21 a game. But GG.
Great job again dudes, appreciate you!
There're certain teams that the Nets will play that deep down you feel we're going to lose to. The eastern conference leading Celtics is one of them. Now we'll go to the Gardens tonight and get a second dose of what we got last night by them. At least we get a measure of how we perform playing against an elite team.
I was at the game nets are missing a key piece to the offense too many stupid turnovers. Celtics gave multiple opportunities.
are we not well designed to have Jayson Tatum Stoppers ? Dorian Finney Smith? Ben Simmons? they are as big as Jason Taytum.
To me, if you cant compete defensively then this whole roster, skill evaluation, and team strategy is off
if cam thomas (offense) is why were in the game. We should play our best offensive players only… No Ben Simmons, No Dorian. MORE Lonnie
Sharpe should be starting over Claxton. Let him come off the bench.
