[If the Lakers ever wanted a temperature check on James’ commitment, here was his chance to tell them. In the end, that answer for the Warriors and Lakers returned resoundingly on the eve of the trade deadline: Rich Paul told Lacob and Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy Jr., that James had no interest in a trade and wanted to remain a Laker, sources said. When Dunleavy Jr., reached out to Lakers GM Rob Pelinka in those pre-trade deadline hours, Dunleavy Jr., had been told the same: the Lakers wanted to keep James, sources said.](https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/39523705/sources-warriors-made-bid-lebron-james-trade-deadline)

Looks like Draymond heavily did the recruiting (no surprise there).

You’d have to sign/draft Bronny to accomplish this.

This is crazy this discussion actually happened lol

seems like a trade never got close, but idk seems like we may be in contention to get him in the summer. only way he can guarantee Steph doesn’t pass him in the rings count

CuJo and a lightly protected 2nd round pick.

im guessing it will be centered around JK as a future centerpiece with Wiggs/Klay as for salary. Add in 2-3 picks plus a couple of players (Loon + Moses + Podz + GP). Bron would want to play with CP, Steph, and Dray.

It would be one hell of a trade and will have the Dubs searching through free agency to fill out the roster.

Thank god it didn’t happen but I’m loving MDJ’s aggression

  7. Moctezumas_heir

At this point it would be a mistake to trade a Paul pierce/KG package to nets for an old LBJ

  8. kerblamophobe

Bob Myers watching and going “damn those balls on Dunleavy”

  9. With the 55th pick in the 2024 NBA draft the Golden State Warriors select… Bronny James, Guard, USC

MDJ to LeBron: we still have a vet min roster spot

Would’ve been like Magic and Bird teaming up 😂

In what universe would Lebron consider this, given the narrative around kd joining?

  12. i mean what would the frame work of a trade look like

***lakers : wiggins, kuminga, podziemski, moody, looney***

    ***warriors get : lebron***

that 5 for 1 trade works financially but that’s a lot of depth that warriors would’ve needed to send to the lakers to make the deal work money wise and that’s not including draft picks either

although only the first 3 players that would’ve sent from that list are currently in the warriors regular playing rotation so realistically was a 3 for 1 trade as looney’s playing time has been drastically cut the last couple of weeks and moody for the most part is out of the rotation all together

but a top 7 of curry, lebron, green, thompson, paul, saric, payton would’ve been interesting to watch to say the least

Imagine all the foul calls we would have finally gotten

Interesting. Wonder if Steph signed off on this?

  15. Trumpetslayer1111

If this is true, would Klay have been included? Or would it be something like CP3/Wiggins?

  16. CookingLikeChef

What was MDJ thinking? nobody here wants that little bitch playing for us
