This Changed EVERYTHING For the Bulls… – WILD Vucevic Comments… | Chicago Bulls News
Nico vuich has come out and spoke about the trade that got him here to the Chicago Bulls in the first place back in 20121 we’re going to be revisiting and breaking down what you need to know about that trade who won the trade and how the players that were involved in

Today and it is revisiting a huge trade so this trade was like the biggest one that I can remember over the past five or six years really the last time a big trade like this happened was when Jimmy Butler was moved for Zack LaVine and Lowry marinin as a draft pick and we
Gave up Justin Patton of course back at the time who didn’t amount to anything so realistically it was Jimmy for those two players but this trade really sticks in my mind because I remember exactly where I was at the time I was out shopping at the time with my significant
Other and actually got the notification on my phone stopped where I was left the store went out to my vehicle and just had to sit there and kind of process everything that went down vich at the time was an Allstar and it was crazy to see him leaving the Orlando Magic and
Joining the Bulls I didn’t think at the time the Bulls were in a position to compete and didn’t think a trade like this would happen but it felt like it was the first stepping stone to get the ball really rolling on this team as they were looking to be serious playoff
Contenders this story actually started from Nick Ragu on on Sports Illustrated and says Nia vuich believes he and Wendell Carter Jr benefited in their 2021 swap it worked well for both of us after nearly three years since the move and V is pleased with his Landing in
Chicago now this story isn’t really more so about Wendell Carter Jr who did leave the Bulls in this but the draft pick that turned into France Vagner that’s the big piece in this that people compare was is fron better than vuvi and right now the answer is probably yes but
They do play different positions on completely different teams so it’s hard to kind of Judge that but we will be breaking that down later in this video first thing in the article is the Chicago Bulls in Orlando Magic orchestrated one of the most significant trades of the 2020 21 season’s trade
Deadline Nia vuvi and alar rukam minu joined the Bulls while Wendel Carter Jr utto Porter and two first future uh picks left for Orlando nearly three years have passed since this trade took place V couldn’t even feel more happy about how the de turned out to be a
Success and at the time Orlando was a very bad team they’re only really starting to come around right now as they’ve gotten some young Talent they got rid of forier and V who were really the star players at the time and have began to build something really great
Down in Orlando the Bulls on the other hand since getting voou they really turned things around made the playoffs and then injuries really more than anything have caed the Bulls to be in a bad situation right now and then the front office is unwilling to make any
More trades even though this trade kind of led us to where were today but also helped us get into the playoffs that year and uh face the Bucks that we unfortunately lost in the first round next thing we saw on this one was looking back at with how the situations
Have transpired not only for him and wcj but also between the Bulls and the magic V believes that both of them simply won the trade I think it worked out pretty well for both of us he said he’s been playing really well for them and I think
He fits really well for the team they have and for me it’s been a good fit in Chicago he was in a situation to find a new place to kind of reset and for me I was just trying to go to a team that was
Trying to win now so it worked out well for both of us now I will say I do think that Wendel Carter Jr’s game is a little bit overrated he is a very good defensive player and has shown that but I also thought he wasn’t very aggressive
While he was with the bulls he’s shown a little bit more tenacity since joining the Orlando Magic but this season his minutes have taken a little bit of a dip as Mo vogner’s actually taken some more minutes as well as Goa batad down there and it seems as if as they’re a better
Team his minutes are starting to dwindle a little bit so that’s why I’d like to focus more on fron as opposed to wend Carter but we will talk about both Wendel Carter here first we’re going to talk about we’re going to break down everything you need to know from
Box score to Advanced metrics on how he’s doing this season he’s playing center for the magic of course at about 6-9 with about a 75 wingspan which is why he’s able to play that Center position so well he’s 24 years old sold out of Atlanta Georgia and is 270 which
Is pretty big in today’s NBA for sure doesn’t seem like a guy that’s that uh type of weight not not that like he’s nearly Drummond’s weight and it really doesn’t seem like that so maybe a lot of muscle there that he’s put on in Mass
For sure and then when we look more into his box score this season you can see exactly what I was talking about in 2021 when he left the Bulls he was playing 26 minutes a game shooting 50% from the field 29 from three as the three started
To come around a little bit and then he was putting up eight rebounds two assists about half a steal a block uh three personal fouls a turnover and a half and 11 points per game now when we fast forward the last two seasons he played very well he actually averaged a
Double double in 2022 with the magic but this year so far he’s down to about 12 points a game very similar to what he played his last season in Chicago his rebounds have gone all the way down to 6 and a half and his assists are at 1.6
He’s playing about the same same time as well as he did in Chicago taking half a shot less as the team’s getting better his field goal percentage has gone up though and it as it should since he is now four years older we could see that
It’s 53% from the field 41 from three so one of the best big stretches in the league and then 73% for the line is exactly the same besides the shooting touch everything else looks exactly the same there so let’s check in and see how he’s doing in the ad advanc metric side
Of things as we can see already stands out his free throw rate’s pretty good for a center that shoots a lot of Threes the quality of shots he’s taking is pretty low as well as his true shooting percentage and he doesn’t shoot as many threes as he probably should based on
The percentage that he uh hits of them his offensive rebounding is pretty damn good if you ask me as well as his defensive rebounding one of the better in the league his turnovers pretty high he still can’t create anything off of that that was another thing he struggled
With in Chicago he doesn’t carry much of a load in Orlando as they shied away from him a little bit he doesn’t create as much his portability about League average as well as his passer rating and he has a below League average offens of plus minus at the 32nd percentile he
Doesn’t get many deflections because he is a center of course and I don’t worry too much about that he doesn’t cause as many defensive turnovers and his Rim defense is above League average it’s pretty solid the frequency goes there is a little bit below and his block percentage once again above League
Average so pretty solid his versatility on defense is pretty low but when we look at how often he fouls it’s around League average a little tiny bit below but overall his defensive plus minus is in the 90th percentile so a lot of this tells me that the team isn’t utilizing
Him to his best strengths on the defensive end oddly enough because the magic had had some success especially with him and everybody else that’s been Young on the team as of late his minutes have been caught maybe it has to do with that maybe different systems out there different rotations and maybe that’s
Causing him to be a bit low but that defensive plus M shows me that he still has a whole lot of potential and just meets more um more burn on the defensive end give him some more opportunities out there and I think he definitely will
Shine more than he already is we look at the next player it is fron vogner you can see it looks like a baby and a diaper there that means he has one of the brightest Futures in the league one of the best young players he’s only 22
Years old plays small forward and a lot of that I think has to do with the fact yes he is 6’9 but he is only 220 lb which you could get away with with but a just below 7t wingspan not the biggest wingspan for a guy that’s 69ine in this
League but still a very good size and he does have the ball handling abilities in my opinion to play small forward as opposed to power forward they also have poo so that’s a big uh big thing there to mention as well because Pao obviously has that power forward spot locked
Down next we can see here this season his points per game have gone up once again for a third straight year he’s put putting up 21 points per game about six rebounds and four assists great stats to see there and we can see that the only thing that worries me about fron this
Season is he has taken more threes like you would expect a young player to do but he’s down to 32% and that was 30% uh just a couple of weeks ago his field goal percentage is still 48% so he’s hitting a ton of twos but I’d like to see that three-point percentage higher
As he’s taken a big dip in that category but hopefully after the All-Star break he can pick those things up his free throws have gone up a little bit for the amount that he’s attempting and his percentage went up 1% so that’s great to see as well when we look into his
Advanced metrics his true shooting is below League average but I’m not overly worried about that the shot quality is good the free throw raate is good he doesn’t attempt many threes but like like we said he’s not shooting very well on them so that could deter him from
Those as well his offensive rebounding is really good for small four the 7 first percentile as well as his def defensive rebounding at the 79th very good to see Ed a fron there a solid rebounder when he tries to create he doesn’t turn it over very often very
Good at that carries a good chunk of the load for the magic it’s basically him and Paulo over there the creation very good portability solid passer rating solid and overall his craft crafted offensive plus minus is in the 83rd percentile that is great to see from France deflections also very good for a
Guy of that size with a wingspan that’s only about his height great to see there his defensive turnovers he caused a little bit below the The League average but his Rim defense is solid the frequency isn’t there and he doesn’t block many shots another reason why he probably plays small forward as opposed
To power forward and and they’re not experimenting with like Paulo at Center or anything like that when we look at his rate to personal foul it’s pretty low he’s not fouling too often 71st percenti and it’s defense is above League average it’s been very solid this
Year as I know a trio I believe it’s him Pao and and another member of the magic maybe Suggs is the best that they’ve seen I think all time when we look at events metrics between three players on the quarter one time their defensive rating is like 80 it’s crazy uh really
Good to see there at those guys as the young team is really picking things up when we look into the last few players in this we can see that jet Howard was one of the first round picks uh not too much to mention for him I can’t give you
An advanced breakdown cuz he’s barely played he is 68 with only a 6 n wingspan for an NBA player is not that great he is only 20 years old and could pick things up but people did think it was a big surprise that he was drafted as high
As he was by the magic and he plays small forward of course uh we can see here that this season it hasn’t been that great in only four minutes a game of course though he hasn’t been getting barely any burn uh only 12 games play
But he is shooting 38% from the field 31 from three and 50% from the free throw line not much happening in there for jet Howard but he’s only 20 years old could turn things around do I think there’s a lot of potential there not really but hopefully he proves me wrong the next
Player and the player that the Bulls got most importantly we also got alfar rukam minu but he’s no longer in the league so we’re only going to talk about Nicole a vuich that right there says that he’s one of the best rebounders in the league at the center position he is 6’10 260
Lbs 75 wingspan very similar size to Wendell Carter Jr which was the big comparison is when looked like he was going to be a young Vu when he was traded over there but I still believe V is a much better player just Wendell much better on the defensive end and V
Better on the offensive end V is 33 years old it’s starting to get a little bit older there now but still very effective in this league as we can see his true shooting percentage is rough this year he has struggled in spots but overall V has been very good his true
Shooting percentage won the worst in the league the 18th percent he doesn’t get to the line at all he doesn’t draw fouls I do see him getting fouled a fair bit but also it should still be higher than the 12th percentile his shot quality is just below League average he doesn’t
Attempt as many threes but he’s not shooting very well on them and his offensive rebound percentage is very low and when they run those big lineups it’s going to be even lower because Drummond grabs everything out there that is possible his a creative turnover percentage 69th percenti nice to see not
Causing many turnovers when he tries to create a solid load at the 75th creation solid and the portability is about League average his passer rating is also very good at the 62 percentile and overall offensively looks to be about an average player at the 52nd percentile he doesn’t cause many deflections but it’s
Not awful but he doesn’t cause any defensive turnovers one the worst in the league his defensive rebounding is just about the best in the NBA at the 97th percent which isn’t talked about enough in my opinion his Rim defense about average Rim frequency well above average and block percent is solved 71st
Percentile people don’t don’t give V enough credit of being a solid rim protector and the numbers are right there to show you that he is definitely at the very bottom League average so that’s great to see out of him versatility is low because of the way
That he plays on defense of course and his rate to personal foul just around League average just a little bit above and his crafted defensive plus minus in the 60th percentile is much higher than I ever thought it would be but that’s great to see out of Vu as well next
We’re just going to look at his numbers since he’s left the team in 2021 when he was at the magic of course that was the best season of his career by far he was putting up 23 12 and four while shooting 48% from the field 40% from three 84
From the line I mean great numbers there out of vuch uh in that season uh and he was on a much worse team as well playing the same minutes this year he’s still shooting 48% from the field his three-point percentage has dipped quite significantly on less attempts actually
Down to 28% hopefully you can pick those things up again that’s really been the only knock on V is the three-pointer not really being consistent since joining the Bulls maybe some pieces moved around and uh he can definitely hit those again 86% from the free throw line is solid
He’s just not getting there very often but he never really has for a big man so we weren’t expecting that to happen to begin with he’s still putting up 18 and 11 with four assists so that’s still very solid if you ask me a lot of people really hate on V and
The contract that the Bulls gave him at $20 million a year but it is very difficult in this league to find someone who is above League average at protecting the rim and puts up 18 11 and four as a big man the only knock that you can really have on him is his
Three-point shooting has been pretty poor overall this season but when you compare back of the time in 2021 and people say the magic really won the trade it makes no sense to me I mean you look at this guy V at the time he was
Putting up 23 and 12 I mean you’re not getting any better than that out of a big man especially shooting 40% from three that is is a really really hard thing to find in this league and I think the trade made sense for both teams overall I don’t think there’s a real
Clear winner France might be the better player right now but hindsight is 2020 back at the time France wasn’t even in the league he was a draft pick did they think France was going to develop into who he is today when they draft him absolutely not though those things are
Unknown Commodities will the Bulls have even drafted fron at that position that’s another thing that you don’t know so overall I think the trade was a win-win for both teams but let’s get into the end of this article to see what they had to say to sum things up we can
See here it says both magic and Bulls gained benefits as well in the trade this 2021 trade served as the first step for the Bulls to launch themselves into a contender as the Vu acquisition propelled the eventual free agency Landing of dear d r rozan and Alex Caruso The Following season in contrast
This transaction signaled the off official entry towards rebuilding for the magic with wcj playing as one of their crucial building blocks now that’s very accurate as well I mean we wouldn’t have got those free agents uh to join with nicoa vuvi and this team has really changed itself around since then even
Though we’re in a playin spot right now the Bulls when they traded for vuch weren’t even thinking of the playoffs I mean they were definitely a bottom team in the league and it’s great to see how they’ve turned around since he has joined them at the very least this is a
Big difference for them since 2021 and I’ve been following the Bulls since 2003 when I was very young so I know that this is a big step for the Bulls that they don’t get enough credit for with vo I don’t like the vo slander so much the
Next thing that we saw on this was as Vu continues to enjoy star role and anchored Chicago’s contending State Wendell meanwhile developed tremendously and it’s now assuming a promising spot in Orlando’s bright future an ongoing surging season in the end both big men are truly delighted with their new
Position and the things that they’ve enjoyed upon the completion of the trade and that’s great to see both of them hopefully Wendell does feel this way and he’s very happy with it as well it’s great to see V and how he’s felt about this trade since it’s happened and uh
Yeah I mean that’s that’s amazing to see that Nicole vuvi loves being in Chicago I think he always has there’s been lots of pictures they always bring up from when he’s younger in a Bulls jersey so it’s kind of like a homecoming even though of course he’s not from uh not
From the states he’s from Belgium so that’s uh that’s kind of cool to see there that he was very happy to join the team Wendell seems happy over to Orlando even though he’s starting to take a bit of a minute uh restriction there for sure they’re logging less minutes for
Him on a nightly basis but overall I do think it’s a win-win trade let me know what you thought about it down below uh in the comment section like the video if you did there today subscribe the channel and I’ll see you all in the next one sign now

Bro, I like how dedicated you are to the balls but you don’t have to put on every title. This could change everything it’s going to get old and it’s gonna mess up your yours. Try to be refreshing and try something else as far as wording.
When this trade happened it wasn't the greatest thing to me because of his age and he was only worth maybe a 1st round pick not 2! And Voozer sucks! And when the Bulls resigned him it reminds me of signing Boozer! They're both older and suck! And not athletic! And overpaid at this point! Just mediocrity all day everyday!!
