Ngl I wish they ran the same 2 man game play they did the possession before. derozan has ball Coby goes for screen if they trap pass to coby again for open shot if they switch derozan has mismatch advantage. Derozan still the most secure with the ball on the team and It’s just a way better option than involving vucevic heavily in the play like they did

Its a bummer we extended vooch last year. I know he can still be good sometimes, but he is not aging well. I’d rather have just gone with Drummond and picked up a backup in FA.
Number one priority for me is to get a young center on this team with some potential. I’m hoping that will be in this year’s draft

You can hate on Vuc for a lot of shit this game, catching that pass isn’t one of them. It would have been an amazing catch.
Love Coby, but that play was like 80% his fault. Got caught in the air with nothing to do and rifled a hot pass 6 feet away from the guy above his head. Not a lot of centers are catching that ball. They just aren’t.
Vuc played awful all game, but to flame his on this play is not it.
This possession and not challenging the Caruso foul are just can’t happen if you are going to win close games

I think it’s fair to say Vooch could have caught it, but I definitely also think it was a bad pass, too much speed on it. In the moment I was definitely being hard on Vooch, but that play wasn’t his fault, but catching that pass definitely would’ve been huge for us. Passing in the clutch is one thing Coby needs to improve on, and I’m glad he’s rewatching film on it.
In some happier/good news, I just wanted to point out that Ayo is now averaging above 10pts on the season and is shooting 41% from 3.

The entire possession was mystifying frankly. Even if Vooch got the ball he was in no man’s land with the paint clogged the defender closing in and no shooters around him. There was barely any time left to do anything.
I get that Billy was saving his TOs for the foul game but this is two games in a row that he needs to call a TO and draw up something in the end to try and have a real play in place.
