With Allstar Weekend being this upcoming weekend that means we are halfway through this year’s NBA season where I should say we halfway through because we have less than half of the 82 games to finish the rest of this season but usually by this time of the year we

Figure out a lot about NBA teams and it has become very evident abundantly clear that the Minnesota timberwoods are a dominant team now we look at the Minnesota timberwoods they are number one in a very loaded Western Conference and if you look at the West it is so

Talented each and every night I would say from teams 1 through 10 1 through 11 it’s a matchup or it’s a game where you’re going to have to go in and you’re going to have to play your best basketball to win that game and if you’re not playing your your best ball

You can end up losing to a 10th ninth AFC so that’s how competitive it is in the western conference right now and the Minnesota timber Woods have earned the right to say that they’re the best team in the Western Conference no they are number one in the West we’ve seen them

Beat some of the best teams in the NBA we’ve seen them beat the Oklahoma City Thunder who has taking a Next Step this season we’ve seen them beat the Denver Nuggets the Los Angeles Lakers we’ve seen them beat a lot of um a lot of a

Lot of the best teams in the NBA and when I look at the Minnesota timberwoods and I look at them statistically and then when I watch them play it’s crazy to process how Elite they’ve been this season so in today’s video we’re going to talk about some of those things that

Make the Minnesota Timberwood so good and what’s going to be and what’s going to make it so hard to stop him going down the a very pivotal stretch of this NBA season and then also going forth in the playoffs and one thing that I really love about this Minnesota timber wolves

Team is that they have an elite big man that can knock down the three-point shot Carl Anthony towns who self-proclaimed himself as the best three-point shooting big in NBA history and Carl Anthony town so far this NBA season he is playing like the best big man shooter of all

Time this year he’s knocking down the three ball at an insane clip and he takes a lot of Threes he’s knocking down 43% of his three-pointers which is good enough for 12th Place in all of the NBA and no seven-footer in the league takes as many threes as Carl Anthony towns and

None of them comes as close to him as far as the efficiency and Carl Anthony towns don’t get it twisted he is so much more than a three-point shooter this season has been amazing for him he has gotten back to that aw our game he’s averaging 22 points per game almost nine

Rebounds 53% from the field and just as we stated 43% from the three-point line so he’s been outstanding and most importantly for Carl Anthony towns this season he has been healthy out of the 54 games that we’ve seen so far this season Carl Anthony towns has only missed one

Game so kudos to him because he had a pretty serious injury last season and sometimes when we see guys get those type of injuries it might take them years um or it might be the next following years that they’re still missing a handful of games but Carl

Anthony towns he has been out there and healthy for the Minnesota timberwoods and also congratulations to him oh no no we are already stated that that he’s gotten back into the allstar game but um Carl Anthony towns um he’s going to be very vital for the Minnesota timberwoods

With his ability to stretch the floor and then some of all the other things that he brings to the game his ability to playmake for himself playmake for others he can pck the ball only the floor at his size he has a great one of

The few um bigs in his League that can still play with their back to the basket he has Elite post game he can score from all three levels efficient with the ball in his hands and efficient with um without it in his hands and I think his ability and his versatility is so

Important for all of his teammates and most importantly for Rudy Gober and um his ability to put the um knock down the three-point shot allows them to play together um as much as as they do and then it also is very important for Anthony Edwards a guy who has the ball

In his hands a lot and kep his ability to stretch the floor and be a threat on that three-point line open things up a lot more for Anthony Edwards so Carl Anthony THS I think he’s been big time for the Minnesota timber Woods this season and he’s going to be very very

Vital for them in the postseason and down the stretch for the rest of this NBA season and let’s take a little break from Individual performance and look at some of the things that the Minnesota timber wvs are doing really well as a team and this is another reason why

They’ve been so Elite this season so we all know that the Minnesota Timberwolves is no secret that they are starting two seven-footers out there with Rudy goldber and Carl Anthony towns they’re so huge that’s something that’ll be very very um very very hard to hide so a lot

Of people’s answers to that because the um bigger players they do take up a lot more space so something that teams would um will try to do against the Minnesota timber was is Clogg the lane and try to take up and try to um take away their

Spacing there make their spacing bad by leaving Rudy go Bear open and kind of playing off Carl Anthony towns and that’s just been something that you cannot do to the Minnesota timberwoods this season because they are knocking down 43% of their open jump shots and with

The open and what the NBA considers to be an open jump shot is when your Defender is four to six feet away from you in the Minnesota timberwoods are getting around 18 of those per game and they’re knocking it down at a 43% clip which is one of the highest Clips in the

NBA so when teams are trying to log the paint or clog the PLT on the Minnesota timberwoods the guys that they have out on the perim perimeter are doing a great job of knocking down those wide open shots and then also the Minnesota Timberwolves have been extremely

Efficient um they ranked eighth in the NBA an effective field goal percentage and why that’s so important with the Minnesota timber they’re getting such high quality shots such easy looks on the offensive on the offensive side of the basketball they’re such an elite defensive team they’re playing a really

Really good offense and then they are playing smothering defense so they’re getting good looks on on their offensive side of the ball and then when their opponent has the ball they’re playing the best NBA um they’re playing the best defense in all of the NBA they still ranked number one in defensive rating

They’re the best defensive um they’re the only team in the ba with a defensive rating under 110 so they get after it on the defensive side of the ball so we have to give kudos to the Minnesota timberwoods they’re knocking down their open shots and then also they’re playing

Really good offense getting really good looks and then locking it up on the defensive side of the ball they ranked third in the NBA in total net rating behind the Boston Celtics and behind the Oklahoma City Thunder so that’s something I want to um give props to the

Minnesota timber Woods for doing so far this season and the next thing we’re going to be talking about this is kind of going to be individual success and team success one player that I think has been so vital for the Minnesota timberwoods this season and plays a huge

Role um and them being Elite so far this season is Rudy goldber and we look at him I think he’s having a fantastic season he did not get back into the allstar game but I think he’s having a Allstar caliber season when you talk about impact and what he brings to the table

He’s averaging 14 points per game and he’s averaging 13 rebounds per game and he’s shooting 64% from the field and I did round up on both of those his points per game was like 13.8 and then his rebounds was 12 and a half but I just

Said why not and just rounded up and just said he’s averaging 14 and 13 a game and then also he’s still getting two blocks per game but what I love about Rudy Gober is that um obviously he plays a gigantic role in them having the best defense in all of the NBA and

Something that I love about this is looking um looking looking at the postseason and we look at the defending Champions who came from the Western Conference the Denver Nuggets um with the way things are looking right now the Minnesota timberwoods are on the crash course or basically if they want to get

To the NBA finals they’re going to have to go through the Denver Nuggets now I think they’re in a very very ideal situation because they match up well with them on the defensive side of the ball now come to um playoff times a lot of teams like to shrink the Flo and

Don’t play some of their bigger guys as much but I don’t think Co fch and the Minnesota timber Wills are going to do that given that their bigs are two of the best bigs on the floor the point I was making is now with the Minnesota Timberwolves um we’ve seen the Denver

Nuggets how Dynamic that duo is between um Jamal Murray and uh nicoa yic and I think they have two guys that can do a really good job on both of those guys individually and then you factor in the team defense um they can do a great

Great job of slowing down Joker um Joker and Jamal Murray and those two guys are obviously Jamal I mean um Rudy Gober who is an outstanding low post Defender and an outstanding um rim protector and then Jayden McDaniel’s out on the perimeter on Jamal Murray I think those are some

Some really great matchups I don’t think it can get no better than that out of all the teams in the playoffs as far as um as far as individual matchups on those two guys and then we look at how great the Minnesota timberwoods have been playing um defense as a team I

Think it really favors in the Minnesota timberwoods as far as that matchup and I think they’ll do a great job of slowing those two things down so that’s another thing that I look at the Minnesota timberwoods and just think like while um that has been really good so far this

Season and it’s and it has the the the chance to get even better as basketball it gets more serious down the stretch and then going into the NBA Playoffs all right and just a little recap as we get into the the final segment of today’s video we talked about Carl Anthony towns

And how his ability to stretch the floor and all the other things that he adds to the game of basketball makes life a lot easier for the Minnesota timberwoods we talked about how great this team is as a whole when it comes to efficiency on both the offensive and the defensive

Side of the ball knocking down wide open shots and then making life hell for the opponents on the offensive side of the ball and then we talked about Rudy gobear and how he has taken his defense to a whole new level and now finally we’re going to be talking about Anthony

Edwards and how he’s on the trajectory of becoming an NBA superstar now there’s so many things to love about Anthony Edwards congratulations to him he is back in the allar games I believe this is his second one he made it last year and then he made it once again this year

And I think he deserves it 1,00% looking at his numbers 26 points per game 48% from the field uh I mean 46% from from the field and 38% from the three-point line he he’s having a fantastic season and he’s only going to get better and one thing that I love about Anthony

Edward is that he plays the game with a lot of passion with a lot of heart I love the way that he’s um calling out the refs uh calling out the way that Shay gilis Alexander um is getting foul calls from the refs um I really like

That and it PS a lot of intensity for whenever the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Minnesota Chamber Woods play going forward imagine if these two teams met in the postseason that’s going to be some really really good basketball so I love that Anthony Edwards he makes the

Game more enjoyable just by him having that passion for it just by him wanting to be competitive and win every single night so I love that about Anthony Edwards and then on the basketball court um he’s just getting better and he’s just getting more mature as a basketball

Player we we’re seeing his shot selection improve we’re seeing his ability to playmake for his team teammates improve and then um things are just getting easier for him as he’s starting to get used to double teams and he’s starting to get used to traps and blisses so Anthony Edwards there’s not

Much I can tell you about his game that you guys don’t already know um he has Supreme athleticism he has great size for the position that he plays he can score from all three levels he can knock down a three-point shot um his mid game

Is is Elite and I don’t know if you guys have been noticing but he’s really getting to that bank shot in the mid-range area something that we haven’t seen in a a very very long time for at least for me I haven’t seen guys going

Off the glass um in a very very long time and then we all know the most entertaining part of his game is when he gets ahead of steam going downhill because he is a threat to pitch your favorite rim protector on a poster so Anthony Edwards He’s been great

Offensively great defensively and then the encouragement that he’s giving to his teammates has been outstanding this season um it seems like the minesa so the Timberwolves they have G great um chemistry going on and great codery so for these reasons that we talked about today um Carl Anthony towns his impact

Um the Minnesota timberwoods as a team hitting their open shots and being efficient on both sides of the ball um their stifling defense with Rudy Gober and then Anthony Edwards who’s growing each and every night um they have been nothing short of elite this season and I
