POSTGAME SOUND: THUNDER VS. MAGIC | COACH MOSE

POSTGAME SOUND: THUNDER VS. MAGIC | COACH MOSE

Coach they were able to go on that 15-2 run early in the the fourth quarter to kind of you know really gain separation and make it hard for a comeback what did you see over that stretch that allowed them to kind of put that one away well

Having to go back and look at film and see exactly what that looked like but a big portion of it was our ability to take care of the basketball um giving them easy baskets you know they have 15 transition points you know 16 points off of 16 turnover I think that’s a big

Portion of the game right there obviously you guys play again tomorrow night but this type of game going right into the allstar break how do you make sure that you stay big pitcher wise as opposed to you know glooming Doom after a loss like this on TNT oh you just said

It you know you know you just got to move on to the next game you know it it it sucks um you know you give them credit for how they played and and they came out and hit us early uh but again I I think knowing that we have a game

Tomorrow you can’t sit in it too long you just got to bounce back back and be ready to go against New York tomorrow night we know you guys are are beginning to think about April and what it’s going to take to to play in the playoffs what

What do you think you learned about this team and and their then their ability to adjust or their ability to kind of you know take some of the waves and take some of the the storms that a good team like the Thunder can give well you know

We we did a good job at times uh and there’s just moments we couldn’t get over the hump uh whether that was you know a timely Miss shot uh that led out to a fast break uh you know or a timely turnover that led to another fast break

So I I think it’s those things uh being able to Value the basketball and take care of it and then it’s just those possessions but you got to give you know Oklahoma City a a ton of credit for the way in which they played do you knowing

That this was a lot of guys first game on national TV do do you feel like there’s nerves or there there’s anything like anything like that with that no I did not sense that from our guys at all I I I think they they came out the right

Way there was a right amount of focus uh the right amount of energy you know starting off the game that that that right way again Oklahoma City played a hell of a basketball game made a ton of shots uh and you know again you go back

And look at the film and see exactly where we can adjust but we got to move on and get to New York tomorrow and be ready for New York tomorrow coach uh Marquel was the only starter out there did not play 20 minutes tonight was a plus out there on

The floor doing got a lot doing a lot of good things out there you know in terms of grabbing rebounds dishing out to Shooters even though some of them w’t knocked down you know just what was the rationale kind of going into that you know middle of the third quarter when he

Wasn’t featured again well I I think a a little bit of that is is just finding the timing of things and WI guys were in and out of the game there was a rhythm that was happening for a moment uh and then we lost that Rhythm so being able

To know that we’re walking into a back toback to see what that looks like um being smart about how we go about doing things is an expectation for Marquel to be available tomorrow night and still dealing with back Tob backs I think we’re going to have to look and see how

He’s pulled up you know tonight and see see where we go from there Jamal you you talked pregame about how there are parall else between the way they’re building and the way you’re building and I know in the moment it kind of stinks but how much do you how

Much are you going to point to some of the things that they can some of some of the ways they’ve separated themselves and say this is just where we got to get to these are the things we’ve got to do yeah I think they did a lot of very good

Things tonight I think we we we showed moments of what we were capable of doing um you know coming out aggressive attacking early uh we did a great job in that first half I believe with Shay I think he had nine points in the first half and then he got in that third

Quarter got himself going and those were some easy baskets off of some turnovers uh some leak outs some run outs and then just being able to defend him without fouling early was a big process of it but then you know he got himself going uh but again there’s there’s a lot of

Parallels uh he is he’s he is a big difference maker in what they’re doing and you know for the mo for the most part they to talk about MVP type of player uh and how he’s playing basketball right now anything else all right thank you everyone thank you guys thanks y appreciate

  1. I get thunder is 2nd in the west but this was ridiculous we can’t guard threes or score at all. National tv and this how you guys play

  2. i really need coach mose to rethink his lineup decisions. why are we wasting the potentials that our rookies have? why are our players not improving their 3pt shots?

  3. Coach Mosley, you're the reason this team loss. Anthony Black should've been out there guarding SGA. Goga should be your PF as Paolo doesn't protect the rim nor does he box out, he's just always standing around. Ingles is a defensive liability. Fultz, Suggs, and Harris aren't the answer and you keep playing them over AB. Should have had Isaac and AB guard SGA. Awful coach
