Heard or seen before Shams you reported that Isaiah of the Pistons um had a little altercation pregame with Drew Eubanks what happened Isaiah Stewart was arrested last night and he was cited for assault of Drew Eubanks he was released after the arrest and the charge and the NBA

Has also launched an official review of the situation I’m told they’ve received security footage of essentially this both Isaiah Stewart guu Banks were walking into the arena by the security area pregame last night in Phoenix ahead of the Pistons Suns game and that’s when some words were exchanged both players

Came chest to chest and Isaiah Stewart from what I’m told punched Drew Eubanks in the mouth lip area police security then separated both of them and police had to escort Stuart out of the Arena after that from what I’m told local law enforcement the league involved with both teams and and investigating and

Looking into the situation but Isaiah Stewart he had an incident with LeBron James a couple years ago and he’s been known as as a hard edged player a guy that obviously competes really hard on the floor and he got into it with Drew Eubanks last night from what I’m told

Drew Eubanks uh did not retaliate on any punch but Isaiah Stewart did connect with him uh in the face in the mouth area and now we’re going to see as the league investigates and local law enforcement did arrest him did charge him and we’ll see what comes of that

After the citation but the league is now going to investigate this and Isaiah Stewart was suspended a couple years ago we’ll see how that plays into his history uh with this matter but definitely this is by far the most unique situation first for me I’m sure you know Lou and Chandler obviously

Played I don’t know if they’ve seen anything like this ever I mean arrested in your uniform like CH what what is that chaylor have you seen this have you heard of this I haven’t I’ve never I’ve never heard of someone you know getting arrested in their uniform for the game

Um obviously these guys have had a thing they’ve got into it when they’ve played before and the good news for me is there’s got to be a video right so I think that will kind of give some clarity because I heard it was a sucker punch which that that that’s bad you

Can’t just go up on a dude and punch him out of nowhere if they’re chest to chest they’re two grown men that are talking trash and they end up getting in a fight fine that happens I’ve seen teammates fight before I I saw I told I saw gett

At Temple and omy casby literally getting a fist fight and like that that’s that’s somewhat normal but for this before a game to over spill from the last time these two guys played um was there any talks before did they see each other in the summer like is this

Like an ongoing beef that like all right when I see this dude clearly it’s on but I’ve never seen it there’s obviously there’s no room for it Isaiah Stewart he he’s got he’s had the issues before um I look for a bigs iion from him but no the

The last nine games that’s big and staff has been unbelievable and look there’s no reason for these guys to tank like they are who they are they’re they’re when you look at the reality is they four games out of the seventh seed so they can make a

Little push here they can you know keep guys healthy continue to groom these young guys like pimi and kaminga while having clay and Wiggins and Draymond healthy in the lineup they’re going to win games they have this the culture the structure they have the talent Steph

Curry is still playing at an elite level where they can go on little seven and two runs and they can you know run off eight in a row and be right back in the mix of the Western Conference but is it likely it’s not they they they don’t

Defend they don’t show it every single night they’re not consistent and those other guys the Wiggins the Clays the Draymond they haven’t shown that they can continue to be productive night in night out so to me it’s it’s they’re kind of stuck right now in the middle because they don’t have enough to

Contend you know there’s no reason to shut guys down yet because they still have this hope that you know Steph Curry go on these runs and average 40 average 50 points and carry these guys to a playoff series but listen just take it day by day try to win games and once you

Dominating the paint for this team is going to be critical so they have so many different ways that can hurt you PG and James carried them all game long but yeah when he when Paul fouled out Norman pal takes over Terence man had some big buckets uh you know plumbley was

Effective in the in the in the limited minutes he got so this team has extreme depth extreme experience and they’re going to be they’re going to be really tough to beat because they have that flexibility to go small to go big to to shorten their rotation to go to you know

To go deep so this is a mature team that that kind of has it all and and they’re starting to click Shams we keep talking about kawhai not being in this game a left adductor strain um what’s the latest how long’s he expected to be out Clippers hope that it doesn’t cost

Is a huge game and we had mentioned ruy haimura who has 36 points on 13 of 19 from the field so this is a game that they should have won but it was very impressive because they got a little bit of everything they had ad dominating

With 37- 15 they had huge game from ruy they had Austin chip in 22 the D’Angelo Russell who’s now looking like he’s having a lot of fun out there everybody involved picking his spots on wi to score wi to Dish so again this is a team where they’re in a similar boat as

Golden State they they kind of struggle they they have an older team there’s no reason to to to not go all in on this last push and they’re starting to take advantage of it they’re starting to get healthy and again am I impressed by this

Win against Utah no but this is a mature win without LeBron James who’s been there everything this year guys they know they can go and win games without him and and he’s May he’s going to he’s old he’s he’s going to miss some games he’s gonna be banged up you can’t rely

On him to be your everything every single night so it is promising to see that guys like ruy can take over a game that Anthony Davis still capable of putting up these 37 and 15 monster games and Austin Reeds can still do the things he’s doing and Spencer didn’t what he

Looked a little bit more comfortable last night so this was an impressive win for me and it shows that guys can compete even with LeBron James out and they can go and win games but let’s talk about ruy Lou because in his last three games he’s averaging 24 points and 69%

Shooting as far as his role on this team how does he affect the overall Outlook of this Lakers Squad you just got to be more consistent you know he’s he’s had a great three games and had a career high but you know with 50 plus games in you know you got

To bottle that up and and be more consistent and be that scoring punch that they need and that in that stretch three or for that they’re going to need coming down in the stretch of games and he’s been playing well but this is something that we got to see

Consistently from him that’s the reason they brought him over in the trade and so is he starting to find his footing I’m I hope so I hope this is something that we can see at a high level all the time from from ruy and he gives them

That that power punch they they’re going to need when you know Spencer de Wy gets with them and and they start they start jelling um and you get gay Vincent back that then you become then you start to see a different Lakers team where the debt matters and you know the role

Players are doing their jobs and giving them an opportunity to win basketball games jams talk to me what’s the what’s the latest on injuries for this Lakers team what does it look like obviously the most significant injury so far this year has been Gabe Vincent he’s about s weeks HST knee

Surgery I’m told he is progressing doing some light stuff on the court uh 10 weeks they listed him out 8 to 10 weeks and 10 weeks would be that first week of March about March 6th uh barring a setback that is still something Gabe Vincent is hoping for shooting for of

Course last time he he had little stop and go where he was rehabing that knee issue came back on the court after just a few games had to undergo surgery and so they’re trying to avoid any other long-term damage in that knee so he’s going to be you know progressed over the

Next few weeks and see if he can make a return in early March Jared Vanderbilt the Lakers hope in about a month he’s going to be ready to make his return from midfoot sprain There Was Fear that he would have to have under season ending surgery uh at this point he he is

Have gone seven and eight uh but five of them have been without halberton that being said 15 games in how does this look Lou look like he’s playing well he’s fitting in well um getting his footing you know playing playing very well with this team um I’m I’m interested to see

What they do coming out of the break you know the East is starting to shape up to be Boston Boston alone but you know with all of the early success that they had with the n Season tournament run and Tyrese holberton having his coming out party and and them being the successful

Team they were in that first half of the season and then bringing Pascal over I’m curious to see what they what what they do in in the games to come but the first 15 games it has been a sample size of things to come he looks well and I’m

Obviously he had his hand up and I knew I had three free throws coming so I knew I was going to make two of them and probably miss the third so I was shocked but I’m just happy we got the W did you ever think to decline the free throws

And say no sir I’d like to go to overtime and settle this like men no okay I was just checking cross my mind fair enough that in that same game you had a you had a monster dunk you had a monster monster dunk that went viral which is crazy it was only

Your sixth dunk believe it or not was this was was this were you thinking dunk you know all the way through this play what was going through your mind right here huh this play yes I was thinking about dunking it the whole time because I had one previous in Atlanta our game

Just I looked at social media obviously it went viral and um I just had that good game too so I feel like all that put together really really just helped everything go viral no doubt so Aaron this season 24 and 30 for you guys you guys have already surpassed last year’s win total

So what do you think has been the biggest key to your guys success already as a young team that’s that’s growing H have some veteran players including guys like you I feel like the organization did a great job of just putting a lot of group a lot of vets together with this

Young team um we brought in probably four or five good vets uh that could help us win and understand the game and help the young guys as well so credit to them there and also bringing in emay he’s a a great coach you saw it in

Boston and he really gets his players to play well he holds them accountable and defense is he’s probably one of the best defensive coaches I’ve been around so all that mixed in with the young Talent the veteran talent and a good coach I feel like we were able to put something good

Together that’s what I that’s what I was going to ask you you know e may being a young coach you guys trying to turn that page and and being a young team you said defensively he’s one of the one of the better coaches that you’ve been around

But what has this impact been other than that uh in you guys locker room man man he’s just a great leader he installs confidence in us I remember in training camp he he came to all of us and pretty much said no matter what points you are

At your career you can always get better and that really stuck with me because I’m a guy who works and throughout my career it’s been up and down but my work has stay consistent and just hearing that just it just gives you confidence and he also breeds confidence in Us by

Obviously allowing us to play our games when we’re out there on the court but just holding us accountable that that goes a long way and growing as a team and as a as an individual player you guys added Dylan Brooks in the off season it’s just a joy to watch

Him uh instigate people so what’s it like to play with him versus playing against him um I’ve never had problems playing against him I played him at Oregon as well so he’s always been a good dude to me but you really see how good of a guy he is off the court when

You’re around him in the locker room he’s he’s funny he has a little Canadian accent so like it amplifies everything everything’s funny uh that he says but he’s just a good dude and a great leader for our team uh he brings that edge that we need and especially for me and the

Young guys like we need to see somebody out there going hard so we could follow up with that and and go hard as well has there been a moment or or something specific that you’ve seen him do where you just realize like oh I’m glad he’s

My teammate I mean just the way he plays every game he’s out there playing hard for his teammates um he obviously defensive effort he picks up whoever the best player is full court and doesn’t care if he gets cross scored on he’s going to give you that effort and that

Goes a long way for me because I’m a a guy who likes to play defense and and go hard as well so credit to him he got us our defense started off and going to a good start eron there there’s also your your current team teammate boban uh when on

The Mavericks he kind of wanted to fight you at the end of this game here what have you guys talked about about this yeah we spoke about it before um we all we laughed it off honestly but yeah I remember that uh against Dallas in the

Playoffs I think they just beat us for the series but I mean is no bad blood there we’re all we’re pretty good teammates he’s a great guy and I’m I’m a great guy as well so we we talked about it we Aaron what did you what did you do

Bro I know B I know BN he’s the least confrontational person I’ve ever shared the locker room with what did you do man what you say didn’t say anything um I I don’t know I was just trying to play basketball to the end of the Buzzard and

They threw it to him and I stole it and shot it through he made it and I think that’s what ticked them off because I I stole it from him and shot it but I don’t never seen b get mad yeah I never got to play with him but all you know

The you see the commercials he’s got to be the funniest cat on the team right man he’s hilarious he’s a great dude like you it’s crazy going to City to city and everybody’s yelling boban like during the games like they want to see him out there even off the court you

See him talking to everybody he treats everybody like family and he’s just a great person to be around but the dancing we can we can tell him to stop dancing right I mean it’s the Tik Tok stuff is weird he like he so good he’s the only player I

Know in the league that gets a can’t no matter what building he’s in and that’s that says something so Good’s a rockar he’s a rock star he really is uh you’ve got two other brothers playing the league which first of all is amazing so to play against your brothers is there

Trash talk what is it like pregame postgame how do you guys handle that uh there’s no trash talking we uh we just hang out honestly like I’ll try to get to their house when I’m in their city or they’ll come to mine when they’re in

Mine and it’s just a time for us to be around cuz we don’t get to see each other that much so I really take that time to just hang out and be a brother honestly so pregame I’ll watch them work out they watch me work out we’ll chat

Then and then after the game we’ll pretty much do the same thing but playing against them it’s a blessing obviously um that my other brother’s in the NBA with me but those are probably like my best and most fun games that I play in so awesome um one-on-one

Tournaments holiday times do you guys have those and if so who wins I mean we’ve played a few times especially when I’ve gotten older and got into the league but it’s honestly who gets hot that day because obviously we all can play defense and we could score the ball all

Three of us can so it’s it’s really whoever gets hot that day and they’ll usually take the uh W for the day you played with uh Justin two separate stops in your career um spending so much time together growing up is it better to play with your brother or without

It’s better to play with my brother he’s by far my best teammate i’ ever had um not just like off the court you get to hang out and spend time with your family but on the court I know every move he wants to do where he wants to go and I’m

The point guard he knows where I’m going I know where he’d be at so even on defense as well so it it obviously works out for us both and I just got one I gotta play with Drew one year hopefully we can make that happen but we’ll see

Your parents also both play basketball I know your sister Lauren played basketball as well I mean was was not playing basketball even an option for you I know you guys had a lot of backyard moments growing up but like what was that like growing up and just a

Push to to to who just competitive uh there was no push really my dad he didn’t really force me to play basketball he said if he want to I’m here if I go to the gym and I’m not doing what I’m supposed to he’ pretty

Much just say we can go home right now he’s not going to force it but we played every sport like baseball basketball football hockey sometimes soccer we compete at everything like card games like you can Name It We we’ll be competing and that obviously helped me

Grow into the person I am to Day always competitive and have that edge I’m just picturing a garage full of sporting equipment so much equipment um we always like to ask everybody you’re welcome to the NBA moment do you remember yours um I probably have a few but I know I
