I’m spending way too much time thinking about Trae and Wemby together. I feel like we’re setting ourselves up for disappointment.
Whether we try to go for him or not, we’re going to be looking for this kind of player to pair with Wemby. Trae and Halli are the gold standard, but even dudes like Garland or Lamelo would be ok. The whole team needs the type of guy who can pass someone open, throw an accurate bullet at a split second opening, get creative with the ball in his hands use his scoring ability as a threat to pass and vice versa, and of course, can actually shoot. Not a lot of guys like that who do it at that level.
