I know it’s early but that contract is definitely looking like a crazy steal atm.

  2. Haha! This YouTube channel has been trying to spam content on here for a while, but at least now it’s relevant content.

I don’t know why it took him 250 games to start playing, but it’s nice to see him stop being weak with the ball. It’s fantastic to see him wanting to get the ball and shoot it. For me it doesn’t matter if he turns the ball over like he’s been doing, if he’s trying to make a pass and it winds up being a bad pass. Doesn’t matter if he goes 4-20, as long as he’s getting good shots up and being aggressive. Turnovers of his that I hate are when he loses the ball just trying to dribble.

Remember all the times in the past year when he’d get his shot packed because he went up weak? Yeah he seems to have mostly learned from that. You can’t be as big as he is and play as weak as he was playing.

Also to get in my /u/topofthekey bag, one thing nobody talks about with him, is he’s beginning to understand the benefits of having 3 speeds. He’s long had the pass-it-around jog around the perimeter speed. He’s also had the run like a doberman is chasing you run speed. But now he’s mixing up the speeds when driving. Like he’ll give a burst but then keep from hitting top speed, so he can remain in control, and he’s getting right to the rim that way and it stabilizes his finishes. No I don’t mean him implementing the slowdown he learned from when Gordon Hayward burned him with it all game a few years back, I mean he revs it but then backs off once he gets going.

Point guards should have 3 speeds, and he’s learning to do that. Fantastic. Looks like maybe he actually wants to stay in the league after all. The road will continue to be long, and it’s going to be years and years before the Wizards will be anything close to good, but we may be at the lowest point right now. Here’s to hoping we get somebody good in the draft.

Glad he finally learned to drive to the rim like a boss, and also how to make a 3pt shot.

Now he needs to learn all the other things, like shooting the middie, driving with the left hand, cutting to the basket, post up shots, pump fakes, etc.

If he can learn even one of these things in a postseason and master it during the season like he did with the 3 shot, he could be a third option in a contender by the age of 26.

Can’t wait for him to be good enough to trade away for nothing! The Wizards way.
