Thoughts on this? I thought he was great early this season but he’s definitely struggled the last month or so

I think that sometimes happens to guys in a bench scorer role. Its his job to get get a few buckets, and the opposition knows it so they close on him and force misses.

I hadn’t even noticed that his efficiency wasn’t great this year frankly.

  2. I think he’s nice to have as a guy that can play off the ball, be enough of a shooting threat, be a good secondary passer and a tenacious on ball defender, while also being able to be a higher usage player and primary creator on bad efficiency. He can get hot and flip a game. I don’t think you want to have to play him big minutes or as your primary creator when your team is healthy though.

I do think that a better fit in that salary spot or role could be the upgrade to make this off season though. You give up some on ball creation, passing, volume offense or defense for more shooting, efficiency, size or defense. Like on the higher end a Kuzma or Grant type.

He doesn’t shoot a lot of freethrows and he works hard for every bucket he gets. It’s never “Caris Levert with the clean drive to the basket”

It’s “Caris Levert through 3 guys and getting bumped twice with no foul call”

    That + 3 pointers.

I’ve noticed that Levert frustrates me at times with his ineffciency, but I’m just glad he is playing with improved tenacity and defensive effort.

He’s a dude off the bench that can create his own shot. He fits his role.

That’s why he’s known as Careless Levert

Look, sometimes shit gets tough out there and you just need someone that can go and take a bucket.

I still love having Levert. He’s got heart/energy and can distribute, hit the occasional 3 and get to the basket while playing good defense.

6th men always have flaws. Caris is no exception but he’s good in his role.

He’s been better this year than last but it sucks when you realize that we gave up just as much to get LeVert as the Celtics did to get White. He’s just okay and doesn’t usually lose you games but can win you some.

He’s a good tough shot maker and playmaker. Gets absolutely no easy shots apart from the odd drive and kick 3 from DM or DG.
