Good analysis. The Pelicans remaining SOS is favorable because January was a battle every night. And before Dyson went down, I thought N.O. had the deepest team in the league. That helps a lot in the regular season. But benches get a lot shorter in the postseason, unless a player is dealing with foul trouble. There are teams the Pelicans match up very well with. But The Celtics, Bucks, Nuggets and Clippers are not among those teams. I think New Orleans will make the playoffs without having to do the play in games. As much as i hate to say this, their ability to win a first round series with anyone will depend on their 3 point shooting. The Pelicans offense is like being hit repeatedly by snipers, only to see Zion standing in your way with a sawed off shotgun. TM III hasn't been as money since his injury, but Herb Jones is shooting better than ever. If CJ and BI hit a decent amount of 3's this team can beat anyone. If they suck it up from 3 they could get swept in 3 games. How this season ends will determine a lot about the direction this franchise wants to go.
My expectations is zion stays healthy and don't get injured again
