Deep Jaden Hardy has been very solid off the bench in the small amount of minutes he has been given over this win streak out of the guy that have actually played real minutes the Mavs have five players shooting over 37% from Deep PJ Washington has been all right
Offensively but he’s shooting bad from deep and most of those shots are good looks from the corner he has struggled on Corner shots from Deep all season but since being on the Mavs he shot 16.7% but last season he shot 35.1% on those shots if he can get back
To shooting to that level that elevates him in the Mavs offensively as a whole to a new level especially because Corner shot from Deep will make up half or more of his shot diet now before we get into the rest of the video I would appreciate

Some centers giving the Mavs two options to have lineups with a small ball five with him and Maxi kba Josh Green is a very solid point of attack Defender being able to defend shooting guards to small forwards he has quick hands and is good at being in the passing Lanes Derek
Jones Jr gives them some versatility on the wing and everyone else is doing their part the Mavs have been so good lately not to mention Derek Lively has only played the last game of this win streak due to being out with a nose injury now having the second half of the

What’s also not being talked about is how good both Kai AND LUKA have been on defense. Luka is a legit top 10 defender at his position in all the key metrics 🤯😂
Better check your math playa, there is only 27 games left, the "second half of the season" started 14 games ago. Hopefully the Mavs can extend this win streak to 10+, seems the only way to make up the ground they need to make up, 10 might now even do it, 15 might. They need to win and keep winning for a while to get back in the race.

Will the Mavs lose again is my question? They are now winning even when their 3 point shooting goes away. Lively is playing even better than Gafford. Instant top of the league D, and they can switch out fresh good NBA players at you all night!

I was hoping the Mavs could trade for Gafford even before they drafted Lively. Gafford is the exact type of center that Dallas needs. Athletic big who excels at rim rolling, rebounding, and interior defense. The Mavs don't need a KAT or Myles Turner type center, they need athletes like Gafford. Big bodies who will run the floor & fight for rebounds. Lively, although just a rookie, is showing a very similar game to Gafford. Given time, he will def keep improving. Gaff & Lively as your 1-2 center punch with Kleber there for stretch-center, small ball, or injuries… that's an extremely solid center rotation. Dwight Powell as your 4th string, finally!
Dallas has arguably the best gaurd rotation in the league. Luka, Kyrie, Green, THJ, Hardy, & Exum. Luka & Kyrie can both play PG. Exum has played well as their 3rd ball handler. Hardy & THJ can get hot quickly. Green is athletic & versatile. Although Green & THJ both play a lot of minutes at SF, they are SGs.
Forward spots, who do they have? There's an out of rotation fresh rookie in O'Max. There's a vet min player in DJJ. There's a freshly traded PJ Washington. Then there's an injury prone Maxi Kleber. Kleber plays well in limited minutes and PJ is an athlete who can be versatile if he improves his shot, like you touched on.
So what are the Mavericks biggest positions of need? Defense & a legit starting forward. I think a player that might actually be obtainable is Alex Caruso. Although he is also a gaurd, he brings elite defense at multiple positions, extra ball handling, and he's the same height as Josh Green & THJ (who play most of the SF minutes currently.) His contract is "cheap" for a player of his caliber and addresses one of the Mavericks biggest weaknesses, PoA & wing defense. The ideal forward for them would be Herb Jones, but I have no idea if the Pelicans would trade him. Herb is 6'8" with a 7' wingspan. He's averaging almost 41% from 3 this season, and he his one of the leagues best defenders at the SF/PF position. If the Mavs could get those 2 players in exchange for some something like THJ & Green + picks… the mavs are title contenders!
Luka – Kyrie – PJ – Herb Jones – Lively
Caruso – Hardy – DJJ – Kleber – Gafford
You could run some defensive units with Caruso, Luka, Herb, Kleber, & Lively. You could run some run & gun offense with Hardy, Kyrie, Luka, PJ, & Kleber. Playoff unit might start something like Luka, Kyrie, Caruso, Herb, & Gafford. But long story short, they dont need both THJ & Hardy. Both are basically the same player. Hardy is younger & cheaper, he's who's I'd pick. Green is def a valuable piece to the team, but I doubt you get Caruso for nothing. Bulls should be tearing things down, trade youth for win now. Use all your picks & pickswaps to get Herb.

Mavs needs to stop with Luka, Kyrie Iso. Iso can win them some games but they need to involve the rest of the team in offence if they want to go deep in the playoff. Also need more penetration and layups not only 3 pts.

Youre wrong about alot of things in this video and most of that is due to saying the Mavs are on a 4 game win streak.
– The Mavs are not undefeated over "the last four games" they are undefeated in the last six games.
– During their win streak they have the 7th best offense, not the not the "8th"
– Maxi has been playing very well at the 4 but "connective passing" isnt one of his strengths at all. The short roll is one of the mavs favourite and most used plays, when Kleber is forced to play the 5, they run the play less because connective passing isnt his game.
– Hardaway has NOT being shooting well from deep during the win streak. He went 3/10 against the Spurs, 1/7 against the Wizards, 2/6 vs OKC, shot a good 5/10 against NYK, 3/7 vs BKN and a whopping 0/5 vs Philly
– Mavs have Kyrie, Hardaway , Hardy, and Green shooting above 37% in the win streak. Thats 4, not 5… Luka is not shooting about 37% during SIX GAME win streak
