Just a reminder these talking heads have nothing to do with actual basketball and they don’t matter

  2. amonkeysbanana

They can’t sell Jokic to the masses and it makes me like Jokic even more

  3. IdRatherBeLurkingToo

Jokic has explicitly stated he is not, and does not want to be, the face of the NBA. How is this disrespect?

  4. Acework23

Understand that their whole career depends on stars making noise , making drama and doing stuff publicly. Jokic is a true rolemodel and he will not be making them any money.

There were plenty of years where Tim Duncan was the best player in the world. Hakeem definitely was the best player in the world while MJ was gone. Neither of them were ever the “face of the NBA”, which has little to do with skill level and everything to do with popularity. Inversely, Allen Iverson was never the absolute best player, but he was definitely one of the faces of the league.

Between Jokic not wanting to be the face of the NBA and being closer to 30 than 25 makes this a non starter. They want someone they can profit off for the next 10 years.

  7. WowYouGotMe

Hardly disrespect. Jokic will obviously never be the face of the nba. He doesn’t want to be. He will be a winner, but not the face.

  8. Ok-Replacement-3229

I don’t take it as a disrespect, Jokic doesn’t have any interest in being a marketing asset.

Let the guy win the championships and anyone else can be the face of the NBA

  9. UnderratedNightmare

Jokic isn’t the face though. He doesn’t have social media. He doesn’t go out and do interviews and all the stuff these others do just so they can be the face. He just laces them up and puts up historic numbers. He also doesn’t want to be the face.

  10. Spitfire_Riggz

They can at least put his picture up there and then explain to the casual that he doesn’t want to be the face lol. Since when do these talking heads respect anyone anyway. They’re really not talking about Jokic because Jokic doesn’t want to be talked about?

  11. sacredknight327

He wouldn’t be the face of the league, he doesn’t have that type of personality. And that’s just fine by me.

  12. OptionalBagel

I mean… Jokic is never going to be the face of the NBA. That’s ok. He doesn’t want to be.

Doesn’t mean he won’t be the best player for the next 5-7 years. Doesn’t mean he won’t finish as a top 10 (or better) all time great.

Also our daily reminder that Stephen A’s opinions are useless and not worth listening to

  14. BoneyardBill

They are discussing the future imo. And Jokic is almost 30.

  15. 2 of these guys were loud about how bad jokic is and how he couldn’t win a championship. They’re not going to draw attention to that or admit they were wrong

  16. Excellent_Ability793

Who cares???? Tim Duncan was never the face of the league and he won 5 championships. And quite honestly I don’t think Jokic wants to be the face of the league, I think he already gets more media attention than he is comfortable with.

  17. Ya. The guys on the screen are the future.

But Jokic is on top of that list. Imo

  18. snakejakemonkey

The NBA already has the next faces in Jokic, Giannis, Embiid and Luka

But they’re looking for next American

  19. TWAndrewz

Jokic doesn’t want to be the face of the NBA anymore than Tim Duncan did. It’s not disrespectful to acknowledge he doesn’t want to do the media/commercials/appearances necessary to be the face of the league.

  20. Rough_Yard9502

I never watch basketball but I decided to watch bc luca doncic was playing
