The Golden State Warriors Received A Gift From The Basketball Gods…

Playing in the same city that assistant coach Deon movich passed away in for the second time in a week through only three quarters the Warriors posted a monster 120 points however for the final 4 minutes and 37 seconds of the game the dubs failed to record a field goal an

Utter collapse for the second time in as many nights for this team with the dubs blowing a lead to the LA Clippers a game prior was propelled by Steve Kerr letting his veterans play through that disastrous stretch against Utah as opposed to calling timeout since they

Couldn’t hit a shot or grab a board for minutes when it mattered most it must have been mic’s spirit being with the basketball gods that allowed the dubs to do just enough defensively to seal the deal and gain a crucial chunk of momentum entering a 7-Day All-Star break

Flashing back to this past January 18th when at a warrior team dinner ABA League Legend and Warrior assistant coach Deon Movic would suffer a heart attack before tragically passing away the morning after beloved by everyone around him with a nation of fans in his hometown of Belgrade Serbia paying tribute the bra

Andi having left a mark on the Warriors he coached has been evident based off how the teams left their heart out on the floor in honor of him clearly having been an under the radar Mentor for the dubs in their 2022 Championship run now M’s Legacy is living on as the dubs are

In NBA Sixth best 9 and4 since the devastating day in which Deon passed away regarding the most recent Warrior W it wasn’t simply down the stretch that the opposing Salt Lake City attack proved this Jazz teams better than their record a 133 Jazz run in the opening

Quarter saw the speed and athleticism of John Collins pick apart Golden State in the pick and roll we’ll get back to the collapse but aside from that opening quarter Jazz run and of course a dominant fourth quarter the dubs did have control throughout as they built up

Just enough of a cushion which they used every bit of right off the bat the action on the Dub’s first bucket showed you K’s Playbook Ingenuity what initially seems to be a step on ball screen turns into a UCLA screen after kaminga swings it to Draymond with Colin

Leadership from the head of the snake Stephen Curry Wardell II displayed great energy in this game finishing with a 16 and 10 double double but it was just as focally Steph’s communication and upbeat body language that stood out as contributive Draymond Green had a starter most 23 points green shot nine

For 14 from the field and three of five from three-point range also racking up four Steals and in two blocks on the defensive end in the late first half draymond’s Patrick momes S quarterbacking was prevalent in the half court setting up consecutive buckets this split action where clay slips to

One thing they have in common but it’s pmk’s defensive hustle based and high IQ approach that are the foundation to his game I would say Brandon’s work ethic mental approach on and off the court plus impulsive intelligence between the lines give him the ability to be much

More consistent than Jordan p with all due respect to a champion for the Bay Area in JP however for Brandon his genuine selflessness yet at the same time hard work fierceness gives him the ultimate likability factor that humble Aura is proven right before your eyes when psky casually hits three-point

Buzzer beaters to close out at half without even getting the slightest bit of shocked or hyped showing you the calm cool and collected trust that he has in his own craft that it goes without saying is continuously being polished Branden Landing in the Warrior’s lap at pick number 19 in last Summer’s draft

Was another blessing from the higher power as draft Scouts didn’t do their homework on pods nearly well enough Mike Dunley will take it though what a draft steal for the rookie GM as the kid MD selected is special moving on to Klay Thompson and head coach Steve Kerr had success

With subam in 5 minutes into the game before replacing curry with pods in the late first quarter when speaking of Fitz and Kena at the half clay was utterly upbeat when speaking about his new role noting how coming off the bench gave him a quote unquote clean slate in three

Quarters Thompson recorded all of his season High 35 points failing to score in the fourth quarter regarding his subpar season by his standards play moving to the bench is the answer to the NBA single game record holder in both three-pointers made in a game and points scored in a quarter being more effective

ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins said they should trade him a while back as perk’s been trash talking clay seemingly on a weekly basis a massive chunk of an entire NBA fan base that is Dub nation has been spewing hate about Thompson’s selfishness bad shot selection and bad defense I’ve said in the past KR should

Consider other options in the depth chart without going too far but some have been night and day more critical than your boy D flow going Allin 08 LeBron style with no regard for human life on Thompson we can’t forget we’re talking about a man and clay that has

Nothing to prove as a four-time NBA champion plus both an all NBA player and all NBA Defender however while Thompson does have nothing left to prove when he’s playing with that added fuel to his fire trying to expose his biggest critics by making those whove spewed hate about him without a second thought

Look dead wrong that’s when Clay’s at his best many voices around the NBA Universe for the record not including myself are confident in initiating narratives that WR Thompson off as a washed up player after two typically career-ending injuries suffered backto back several years ago those takes that

Don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon given alimer and Clay extra motivation in the final quarter of the season and then into the 2024 playoffs so to the ones who are paid to keep hating bottom line is in the right role and mindset clay can still be damn

Deadly led by Tom the bench was a major key in the Dub’s final game before the All-Star break as their entire starting five was below zero in terms of plus minus but sarich Looney Jackson Davis clay gp2 and konz combined to outscore Utah by a staggering 37 when they were

On the court meanwhile the starters plus minus was set back because of the Jazz making their monster run down the stretch blowing leads has evidently become a major theme for this 2024 Warrior team as while they did survive the most recent onslaught of a final stages run their loss against the

Clippers the night before was their sixth L of the year in which they led by as many as 15 points last night against the Jazz despite leading by 18 entering the final quarter bad habits again caught up to the Warriors in Salt Lake as Golden State failed to stay in the

Moment got comfortable stopped giving 100% and got ahead of the M themselves mentally allowing the young Utah Jazz to take control of the game in every facet their communication and positioning on the glass to go along with their shot selection and thanks to ker not calling timeout their stamina was all the

Complete and utter mess when it mattered most which was abysmal to watch if you’re a warrior fan you can’t be thrilled about this win but a win is a win after all and the Warriors are a plus 500 team entering the break it was a mess in the fourth quarter but

It’s still worth noting how the Warriors stayed together just enough on defense to close the show forcing John Collins to make this errant pass into the stands after Curry hit a couple clutch free throws Colin seon did miss a wideopen triple which would have forced overtime but sometimes the basketball gods are

Just on your side Dey was with the warriors on this night in Salt Lake having said said that leaking oil on the second night of a back to back in addition to his vets Steve Kerr was obviously completely out of energy as it was unacceptable how he refused to call

Time out to quell Utah’s momentum given in the front Court Draymond and cavan’s legs were heavy I would have liked to see more Trace Jackson Davis but I’ve come to the conclusion that Kerr will do the opposite of what your boy says when it comes to tjd so I digress if he enjoy

My analysis please subscribe to support this platform thank you so much comment or shout out question for today is what do the dubs have to clean up the most post All-Star break to stop blowing leads pause to read today’s winners on your screen your boy def signing Off

Entering the all star break- the Warriors barely hanging on for a dub to get back over 500 was non coincidentally driven by a spiritual realm, in what’s been an emotional season for Golden State. DM Brate

  1. Man ….guys trashing Klay is annoying… Klay still has it … Whether he starts or is from the bench doesn't matter

  2. I have lost all faith in this version of the Warriors doing anything.

Here we go again. Look. No problem if Kerr is extended beyond this year. But at some point Lacob and Dunleavy need to save him from himself. The DYNASTY was built by surrounding Curry and Draymond with big wings. They won a chip in '22 exploiting a couple of "Small" lineups with JP taking the Iggy role. It seems like that's still fresh Kerr's mind and he's become addicted to it. All last year lineups with Curry/Klay/JP and Donte. This year take your pick of 4 guard lineups he runs out there. If you have 5 guys under 6'4" on the roster, Kerr is going to put 4 of them on the floor at the same time. Then scratch his head as to why the other team goes on a run. At this point we can only have 3 "smalls" on the roster. Maybe then Kerr will only put two of them on the floor at the same time. It is beyond frustrating that Kerr seems unable to help himself. I love GP2, but you can't play him at power foward in a lineup where he's also expected to be the premier perimeter defender. Think about that! It makes no sense. This problem will get worse when CP3 is healthy. Then Kerr will have another 6 foot tall body that just has to be out there because I guess he needs another post game press conference ponders why we couldn't get the stop and rebound we needed.

This little resurgence has been due to strong wing play from Wiggs and JK (Both LARGE WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). There literally had to be multiple 6'2" guards injured simultaneously for Kerr to throw out lineups that could compete physically. Crazy how returning to the Dynasty formula of Curry and Draymond surrounded by big wings lead to a 7-1 stretch with one of the best net ratings in the league.

Lots of the lineups Kerr has put out over the past 2 years are too small to even be considered "Small Ball." We need a new term. Maybe Micro Ball? I guess the name doesn't matter. But the Dubs are going nowhere like that. My confidence level in Kerr shelving the 3 and 4 guard lineups is less than zero. He literally can't help it. Maybe a run can be made next year if the roster is set up in a way that doesn't allow Kerr to throw out 4 guard lineups. But if he has them, he will play them. There is really no other way to look at it at this point. 2+ yrs is a big enough sample size.

  3. DO NOT STOP BELIEVING. HE IS ONE OF THE GREATEST BASKETBALL BALLER. BELIEVE. WARRIORS WILL BE WINNING. Who knows they will be a CHAMPION again. BELIEVE.

  4. How to not blow leads:

    1) Do not play a three guard line-up down the stretch.
    2) Rotate players during game so everyone is reasonably fresh. Mistakes occur more often with a tired mind.
    3) DO NOT PLAY SARIC AT THE 5! There are three better options on the team.
    4) Trade for a defensive-minded 4 that can offer stability whenever Wiggins isn't playing OR explore how TJD can fit into that role OR evaluate Gui Santos by giving him meaningful minutes.

  5. When you think about it he said Klay had 2 career ending injuries. But yet he still plays 90% better then the rest of the N.B.A. Not bad for someone with career ending injuries or is that really the case?

  6. GSW blows leads for political reasons. Kerr takes the young players off the court at the crucial times for political reasons. What GSW does is:
out-play their opponents for 3 quarters then, when they’re convinced that they’ve
    pretty-much have them
figured-out, they lay back to fool the league that they’re blowing leads, when they’re already convinced themselves that they’re head and shoulders better than almost all of these teams, including Nuggets, Clippers. I won’t be surprised if GSW hoists that trophy this year.

  7. Kerr is the biggest issue, with the warriors, Thompson is a better player off the bench, he shouldn’t close out games, TJD is more athletic than looney, the youngbloods need more playing time, start with Green, Wiggins, Kuminga, Podz and Steph, Saric does not suit a fast pace game, but he suits against certain teams, but is a defensive liability, so cut his minutes for TJD to get more
They could make the playoffs, but Kerr needs to play the rookies more

  8. yeah, Kerr needs to play TJD much more and, come on, what's his damn issue with Moody–get over it Steve and play the dude!

  9. This is the first DflowHoops video I've seen and just want to share how much I liked it. The top thing I look for is play analysis so I can better recognize what's happening in real time. Your breakdown of the "UCLA screen" and Dray's signal to JK to cut were both terrific and very efficiently done. The overall editing/sourcing/production work is stellar, and I fully expect you will reach the next level of whatever you're trying to achieve. I appreciate all content creators who include the section breakdowns with timestamps. Also: Beautiful tribute to Deki. Loved hearing that you think Podz has the chance to be Curry's successor because most Warriors fans are reticent to say so yet. I really like his game, and with this pick Dunleavy is already more popular with Warriors fans as a GM than he ever was as a player.

Looking around your library I can see that you create videos that "catch me up" very well with what other players are doing. I hope you do a Wemby one soon!

Love your idea to do Commenter Shoutout, so this is what I think the Warriors have to do to stop blowing leads:

This year's team has an unusual construction compared to other years in the dynasty in that aside from two guys on one side of the ball (Curry offense, Green defense), the whole team is a collection of good but not great players. We found out recently that even the bottom of the roster (Gui Santos and Lester Quiñones) are worthy of playing time, so Kerr's real challenge is playing the right rotation at any given moment. He has to stop trying to find the right lineups to ALWAYS depend on and be good at picking out the right five dynamically in real time. That's gotta be difficult, but the long leashes he has on players who aren't getting it done has been deadly. Also, we saw earlier in the year he's expected too much out of small lineups to stop big teams. Is it really fair to Steph, Klay, and CP3 to put them all in together and expect them to defend well?

Secondly, Kerr has to get better at stopping the momentum of other teams. It bugged the Hell out of me in 2007 when Avery Johnson used his timeouts exclusively to interrupt Warriors runs, but the urgency was right on. These Warriors also like to play fast and furious, and when the other team is catching up fast due to their turnovers, they still don't slow down. We need CP3 to slow the game down as a PG, and have him and anybody else draw shooting fouls to stop the action for a breather. But at the same time I agree he should be capped at 20 minutes and used judiciously, which will not only be better for the team, but gives him a chance to make it through the playoffs healthy. This is a challenge because so far Kerr has fallen in love with too much CP3.

  10. Kerr didn’t call timeout cuz we had only 1 left so he prob was saving it in case we’d need to draw up a game winner

  11. The Warriors have a really good and deep team, but will not make the playoffs or at best be knocked out first round if Kerr keeps closing with these crappy lineups and have Moody and TJD DNPs. Just compare the 2 Utah games with Kerr's closing lineup vs Atkinson's. Tells you everything you need to know what is wrong. Not sure what Kerr's infatuation with the 3 and even sometimes 4 guard lineup with a slow Looney/Saric playing center. Also, here is an interesting stat for you. When the Warriors play with Kerr as the coach, the win % is 65.3%, but without Kerr it is 91.5%.

  12. Klay I don’t cares how people hates on you I always going have faith in you because I know you can do it I so proud of you keep your head up and keep shooting them three’s I love all my warriors ❤god going Always blessed you’re go warriors.

  13. Klaynk is history.. Face it his best days are behind him.. Just FACTS.. He's like lightning, never know when or where he'll hit or miss. Can't count on that. Love Klay, but making shots shouldn't count on luck. They didn't win.. Jazz lost this one on their own.

  14. Klay going to the bench and not getting upset about it while also using it as personal fuel to prove that he's still got plenty to offer is just as important IMO as both Dray avoiding trouble since returning and Wiggs effort/production greatly improving recently. With a great schedule and our biggest problems seemingly solved (turnovers and defence are much better too) hopefully major injuries can be avoided so that we're a factor come the playoffs. Great analysis and go Dubs!

  15. The people criticising Klay have done it for a reason, and it's the truth. You can have hope and believe in him, but you can't deny the fact that's he's been having too many bad nights for a player of his status. For him to still play after all those injuries is a miracle in itself, but that doesn't mean you should keep him on the starting team, even more so when you have a guy like Podz killing it every night.
The problem with Klay is that if he's not consistent, why keep giving him big minutes that could be used by the young players to develop and make the team better as a whole? If he's got nothing left to prove then stop being selfish and give the others a chance to grow.
This season he's proven that he's more of a liability than a help to the team's success, and that's why I'll keep saying that if he doesn't want to be benched then he needs to be traded. He's getting paid as a proof for what he's done for the team, so the least he could do is not let the team follow in the footsteps of the Lakers and enter a 7 year slump.

  16. To stop the bleeding at the end of games?
Kerr needs to get his head out of his ass when it comes to playing sentimental favorites and start making faster in game adjustments…

  17. Yeah what’s up with the tjd hate and lack of play from kurr. Need to get him minutes to prep for playoffs. Has had some rookie mistakes but that is why he needs some minutes.
