Forever a legend for dropping Embiid in the playoffs

Lowkey fav. Not even for his play. Attitude. The family he built. Any time NBA Twitter would annoy me I’d see some tweet from Shekinah and everything would be right again. She’s still repping. His kids were all about the Raps. Good people, that Young fam.
Dude felt like a rock for the team, imma miss Thad he might not blow your mind but he was consistent and smart and was nice to lean on when they needed him.

Felt like we got Thad a couple years too late, but he was a consummate professional during his tenure regardless. ๐

Thad’s a pro’s pro. Tons of respect for the guy, and I hope (if he wants) that he has a long coaching career post-retirement.

I remember wanting the Raptors to trade Scola for Thad in the 15-16 season, while the long term plan was trading for Ibaka.
So it’s pretty funny to me that the PF’s I wanted in the “we need a pf era” both landed on the team. Thad was constantly a bright spot and I enjoyed what he brought to the team, plus there was times I trusted bro on the court more than most.

Maybe not the most exciting player we ever had. Questionable move by masai at the time. But 1 thing for sure. Thad was a professional.
As a professional working in his profession for the past 10+ years, I really appreciate that workman like attitude.
Respect and gl Thad!

Thank you, Thad!! You are the best, rooting for you!
