This was in response to JJ Reddick’s criticism of Doc Rivers earlier today.

Pat Bev was recently traded to the Bucks.

> Pat my guy I had a four year offer with player option for the same money to be a starter for a different team. FOH “saved my career”.

  1. pat beverley went on a media tour to slander chris paul after chris paul destroyed him in the playoffs

  2. KennySmithsKnees

Bev is fiercely loyal I’ll give him that

  3. TheWestRemembers

Has there been a player as loyal as Pat Bev despite being on different teams? Clips love him, Lakers have the camera incident, Wolves the play-in clip. He’s got memorable moments for almost all teams he’s played for.

  4. LOL Morey literally plucked this guy out of Russia and he had no problem saying shit about him on his podcast.

Come on man. You can say what you want if it’s the truth, being overly loyal to people is part of why the NBA media sucks.

  5. shanmustafa

    that’s not true tho?

JJ got paid already before he even got to the Clippers

he was already a consistent 26-28 mpg guy

i guess under Doc he got to 28-30 mpg? lmao alright i’m sure those 2 extra mins were great

  6. Thats kind of nonsense. If Doc started you early in your career when nobody wanted to, its not because he likes you or because he wants to help you out. Its because he thought it would help the team. He did what he thought was best for the team. He wasnt doing you a favor.

That doesnt mean that Doc and JJ didnt butt heads, and it certainly doesnt mean that JJ needs to ignore reality after he retires.

Thats like saying that a player cant say anything bad about the team that drafted them. The team didnt draft you because they thought you would really enjoy the city. They drafted you because they thought you were a good player who could help the team. Some players part with the team that drafted them on bad terms.

Redick’s career was not on the ropes before he joined the Clippers. He had just played 78 games with (then) career highs of 14 points and 30 minutes per game.

  8. agentdoubleohio

I for one, can’t wait till the offseason when pat is not on the bucks and he starts throwing everyone under the bus again.

  9. Ok_Respond7928

Pat dick rides harder than anyone else in the league. I gotta respect it he always inserts himself into everything because he knows it gets him clicks and that the only way he is going be relevant.

  10. collect_my_corpse

JJ was not washed up or on fumes. His career was as alive and developing like those fetuses he forced his college hook ups to abort.

  11. MahomesMccaffrey

JJ was a pretty good player before joining the clippers on both the bucks and magic.

    WTF is Bev talking about?

Doc did not save his career

  12. The Pat Beverley and Barstool Sports marriage is going just about how I’d thought it would. Seems like they really want in on the clicks that go along with the NBA drama and Pat is carrying water for them in that regard.

  13. dizzymidget44

Pat Bev was throwing his team under the bus the second he got traded

  14. DynamixRo

Bev just got his podcasters mixed up, must’ve been thinking of Austin Rivers.

  15. When Doc signed with the Clippers they were championship contenders with Lob City and yet the man continously failed and choked in the playoffs. With that being said this fraud has saved no ones life. He couldnt even get Chris Paul a championship. Putting Rivers on a pedestal needs to stop.

  16. Pat Bev is a legendary ride or die *when he’s riding*.

A month ago he would’ve said “yeah JJ, tell ’em!”

  17. jumboponcho

JJ doesn’t owe Doc his undying loyalty just because he utilized him in a way to make them both successful. And this is coming from someone who thinks the Doc hate is largely group-think

  18. background_action92

The Bucks are an interesting team, interesting like watching the second season of the Jersey Shore. Between the Dame drama, the coaching carousel, season expectations, its all been very funny. Yesterday the Bucks fans were mad at Dame for omitting Giannis and picking his protégé, Bam Adebayo

  19. norriscolesucks

why do people call Bev “loyal” every time he defends his CURRENT team, coach or teammate?

  20. MinesweeperGang

Bev just says so much bullshit. Doc did not save JJ’s career. What a completely inaccurate statement. JJ was more valuable to a team than Bev has been and will ever be too. Bro talks too much.

  21. WaterIsNotWet19

It’s pile on doc season. Refreshing for someone to come to his defense regardless of the side you’re on

  22. Yroftheprtycrshr420

No one would of started JJ? PLEASE. Pat is just sticking up for his guy, trying to get playing time.

  23. What a blatantly stupid jab by Bev. JJ did not need doc to “save” his career.

  24. whiskeypenguin

Is JJ not allowed to have an opinion? Pat is unbearable

  25. Grampz619

dude is insufferably annoying ngl, changes his shtick twice a year after he inevitably gets shipped off

  26. Reddick burned his ass on the reply lol. Pat and Draymond the biggest bums in the league and it isn’t close

  27. rasheeeed_wallace

lmao of course JJ is the type of person to use “my guy” unironically

  28. siemprehere

Pat Bev is always looking for smoke and I love it haha

  29. NyQuil_Donut

As if Doc was the only coach who saw the value in one of the best shooters in the league lol.

  30. Lottapumpkins

Doc hit Pat with the “we been in the lab drawing up some new deluxe pick and rolls for you if you go clapback at JJ”

  31. JJ Redick gives big Max Kellerman vibes. A know it all to the point of being totally insufferable

  32. Dainish410

Doc ain’t shit and the bucks are fucked. They shouldn’t have traded away Jrue for Dame and they sure as hell should have stayed away from Rivers.
