This is a bit random but FO could be on to something.

Undrafted in 2021, signed a contract with Charlotte over the summer but then got waived a month into the season and signed with their G league team.

2022 he signed with the Iowa Wolves for the season.

In 2023 he got signed to the Timberwolves and then got waived the next day… Back to the Iowa Wolves.

    Draft Notes:

“Carton projects as a great college point guard with a chance to develop into a good NBA player. He’s got a solid frame, good bounce and very high basketball IQ.

He plays an efficient game, taking good shots, making good decisions and understanding when to force the issue and when to make the easy play.

Carton moves well without the ball and doesn’t loose interest if the ball’s not in his hands.

And then there’s the bounce. Carton can really get off the floor and he’ll catch defenders by surprise with his suddenness and great vertical burst.

Carton has been forthcoming with his decision to leave Ohio State and focus on his mental health, which takes a lot of courage and character.”

I love giving players a shot when we are rebuilding, so many talent out there, best way to find bench role players.

Players that get drafted feel like if they are not starters they are fail and end up asking for trades and bouncing around teams.

Good luck to this young fella!
