He really means a lot to their team and what they like to do um possession to possession the team is deep the team is like eight nine players deep you got bi Val chunis Zion CJ McCollum who just came back from injury I believe like a

Month and a half ago uh he’s turned the corner he’s providing you know in the non- Ingram minutes it’s very important that they have another guy who can create off the dribble um playmake for others stretch the floor things like that so that Dynamic has been good that

C that they can play you know having CJ mcom there he’s a vet he’s been to the playoffs before so he is definitely definitely valuable to them um then you got guys like Dyson Daniels herb Jones uh Trey Murphy III uh Jose Alvarado like this team is deep the team is deep um

Similar in the age they’re hungry um I always go back to the Pelican series that I watched in 2021 the first round series uh Zion wasn’t healthy I think he had a season ending injury but Brendan Ingram the way he

The New Orleans Pelicans.

Who are one of four teams that is top 10 in both Offensive + Defensive rating. One of the more deeper teams in the Association driven behind the 1-2 punch of Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson. Pels’ GM Trajan Langdon has done an outstanding job the past couple of years surrounding Ingram and Zion with complementary pieces like Herb, Dyson, Trey Murph, Jordan Hawk as they grow into their primes. Only questions for the Pels is can they overcome the lack of experience and arrive on the big stage? Their opportunity during the In-Season tournament vs the Lakers, and the last year’s play-in vs the OKC Thunder were gut punching performances because it felt like they’re still learning to win the games with the bigger stakes at hand.

The team is a cohesive unit that has played a lot of basketball together specifically the past two seasons. Zion physically has always been a question but to this point he’s been healthy and still very disruptive and productive. In bigger moments I’d like to see more asserted dominance down the stretch from Ingram/Williamson, some nights it feels like the league barely knows who they are yet they’re two of the most talented at the position. In playoff settings teams still haven’t gotten that nuclear 60-70 point combined performance from those two like we’ve seen from other formidable duos like Cs’ Tatum/Brown, Suns’ Durant/Booker, Nuggets’ Jokic/Murray. Still feel like thats the missing piece for this two, just arriving on occasion and stepping on people’s necks on a nightly basis. Pels are far too talented to lay down to any of these West contenders and not go down swinging. But will they swing?
