Why Deni Avdija Is The Most Slept On FUTURE STAR!

Why Deni Avdija Is The Most Slept On FUTURE STAR!

Denny abdia has figured it out this season and considering he’s only 23 years old this dude is a future two-way star in the NBA during February he’s averaging 23 points 9.3 rebounds and three assists per game while shooting 61% from the field and 50% from three and that right there is the biggest

Difference in his game last season and the years prior he shot under 29% from three this year altogether he’s shooting 40.5% from three on 2.8 attempts per game and the defense actually has to respect him and he’s consistently drawing close outs and Defenders to guard him above the perimeter or out on

The perimeter and overall it’s opening up his biggest asset AKA his slashing ability all throughout his NBA career he has been an elite driver and finisher at The Rim he has shot 70% at the basket throughout his four seasons in Washington and the film just just says

It all tus Jones finds him on the perimeter Devon Vel closes out just a bit and we see the quick First Step he possesses and in situations with this type of Advantage he’s going to finish with ease 10 out of 10 times he’s just too quick off the catch if he draws even

A slight Reckless close out he’s getting around and doing damage at the basket plus he just eats up contact here he catches a little close out contact initiated and he just breezes through it doesn’t even feel it and gets to the rim as a result on this play the defender

Gives him space so he eats it up crate contact now the defender gets pushed back and he has enough space to hit the Euro Step and finishes at The Rim through contact here he’s getting pressured and he just breezes by U using his speed then he just doesn’t feel U

The rest of the drive my man is a physical force and can take contact initiate contact while getting to where he wants to go trust me don’t sleep on his speed either you wouldn’t expect it out of him but he consistently Blows By Defenders to get an edge on them combo

That with his ability to absorb contact while getting to his spot he’s an elite driver plus he ain’t afraid of contact he loves contact catches on the short roll then boom shakalaka get out of my way Brandon Ingram goal tending as a result here C Johnson does a nice job

Cutting him off keeping him in front but he still has his strength and it results in him creating space and then his size and length gives him the opportunity to hit his signature floater he’s a great finisher around the rim because he has sweet touch with an array of different

Floaters in his bag he’s smart as well and can pick angles to avoid shop blockers while having sneaky athleticism to do so as well where he can Cort his body to get it done around the rack overall he needs to work on shuring up his handle a bit more developing some

Go-to moves and more counters in terms of his ball handling while becoming more fluent with his we can because right now everything relies on his right hand which is expected but if he wants to become even more lethal adding a bit more on the weak hand will open up his

Drive and finishing game even more and he will become more unpredictable and Trust me he’s a high IQ player with great passing instincts he’s a forward and against most forwards he’s too quick for them here cat just can’t keep up then he draws a rim protector goar quick

Witted pass slam a jam for his teammate as a result he’s a winning two-way player consistently has plays like this guarding Vel and denies him at The Rim then as a forward he runs the floor like a point guard catches one dribble and he he knows exactly where the next pass

Needs to go he doesn’t waste any time and it results in an easy score for kozma and then from time to time he can run the pick and roll like a point forward he has great pace and IQ he sets Luca up with the In-N-Out dribble which

Sets him up to hit the screen then he dribbles to his spot goes up like he’s shooting a layup only to lob it to Holmes for two he’s a great connector offensively because he does a little bit of everything he gets spot up from three now which draws Closeouts he can then

Beat the close out off the catch we know he can drive and finish but the icing on the cake he can make quick passes like this come on now overall you can tell he’s a teammate you will love playing with because he will find you he locks

Eyes with kozma immediate back door cut they’re on the same page perfectly delivered on Target online easy bucket not not a lot of forwards can handle like that and make that pass consistently like he can and defensively my man is a menace which makes his offensive leap this season that much

More satisfying against Desmond Bane he avoids both screens stays glued on to him and then jumps on his back loose ball look at the hustle and of course he comes up with it de jont Murray in the Fast Break picks up speed he has the ability to pick angles and still stay in

Run and have a chance he goes straight up and deflects his passing attempt he has such quick hands he switches but he knows he has to get back on Shay he leaves Dort and once he sees Shay about to pass the rock he predicts it’s going

To the guy he left open steel and bucket on the other end UB catches picks up speed he’s able to stay in front perfectly stay straight up not leaning over one bit meaning he will avoid the foul call that’s got to be in a PowerPoint presentation of how to stay

Straight up on a blocking attempt and on this play here you can kind of tell he gives up the driving lane because he knows he has the ability to make up ground with his size and length and he baits the offensive player into the block and then staying in front of Zion

Is no easy task he doesn’t bite on anything which forces Zion into a careless hook shot or he loses control and you can his IQ really translates to the defensive end of the floor he knows which angles to take to make up ground or just keep his defender in front so he

Has a chance often times he’s a step ahead of the defense knowing where and when to rotate to prevent a shot or get a steal you can call him a two-way player and those are the most valuable player types in today’s League he always had the talent and ability but I think

This season he’s comfortable and that has resulted in him finding his confidence and everyone who has played basketball in order to reach your fullest potential you need confidence I think he struggled with that early in his NBA career the thing is he’s only 23 years old he’s still figuring it out

Growing as a player but recently he’s showing he has serious star potential because he’s producing offensively at a very very high level and if he can find consistency in that oh my goodness he’s going to be special because already he was a force on the defensive end of the

Floor that’s all I got let me know your thoughts in the comment section below and if you enjoyed at any point leave a like And subscribe if you got time check out my other videos most importantly have yourself a great day and peace out

  1. Deni is so Physical !!! Players bounce off em !!! Jordan Poole should start lifting weights with him !!!

  2. Watched him against my Mavs recently he is so good… hope he gets away from the DC dumpster fire soon. He was scoring on all 3 levels

  3. Deni still needs to improve his left hand. I’ve seen only one example in your video of him finishing with his left hand. If he improves and it becomes common he will be a top player. Big bucks!🎉

  4. More than 60 years of participating, coaching, and watching athletic events and I still don't now what "sneaky speed/athleticism" means. Could it actually be a dog whistle?

  5. He has no future at Wizards. He should try to leave and seek a team with a potential, otherwise he will just be wasting his career at one of the worse teams in the NBA.
