I I’m underwhelmed a little bit but yeah I can tell Bobby well I could wait get out of there it got way too chaotic and you know the exact moment it happened for me Saturday morning media day that’s the day you think you’re going to go

You’re G to get a ton of stuff have some good conversations and I think you went to the press conference I went upstairs to the mixed media Zone and it was absolute chaos up there try to get over to Carl Anthony Town’s massive sea of Dominican

Reporters in front of me I’m sure right rightfully so y same thing million guys from Serbia trying to talk to him barely got a question off in the back and then fortunately we’re more situated for Jaylen and Jason once they went but it was ridiculous the amount of people I

Mean the chaos Bobby you weren’t GNA get one-on-one with those guys like Bobby thought that you gonna you thought I want to get a single with the cat and all those guys yeah yeah it was tough but you know I felt like with the with the hometown guys like Jaylen and Tatum

They soon as they heard one of our voices they cut everyone else out and and zero didn’t on know so that was fun but yeah it was tough but it was great to finally get that experience down though right you know finally be at All-Star Weekend first time for for both

Of us and um I thought it was um it was cool it was it was overwhelming at times I just think the way things ended I thought that’s what you were going to say the way things ended is what made me feel like man like that this is underwhelming because that’s supposed to

Be the biggest event that’s the whole reason for Allstar Weekend and I felt like the game was such a disappointment it really made me wish I was back home you know watching it with my dad and my brother or just being back home and uh

You know take taking it in from the from the comfort of my of my apartment and I hate to say that because I was there it was my first All-Star game but like I said you know during the postgame show and even during the game by the second

Half I was like Bobby this thing’s go to this thing’s got to end soon man I’m I’m this is boring yeah I did enjoy the step Sabrina showcase that was Saturday was cool Saturday I don’t I have I have a different take for Saturday but yeah go ahead the envirment and Saturday across

The board was pretty good even the skills competition which wasn’t as good as some of the other stuff mention here you got a good crowd reaction for the Pacers winning it and Tyrese had that big dunked cap off the first round got a little there cool yeah they went to a

Bunch of different competitions that really didn’t make sense and we pretty high up for that one but overall I feel like this competition this Saturday night was the cool thing to see in person you had great crowd presence you had booze for Jaylen during the dunk

Contest you had him trying to run up the scores there at different points and listen the crowd didn’t love it they were getting on him they were loving mclung and then he comes through in the end with the 50 and they went crazy so to me that was a good experience it got

More criticism from home so maybe it was something that we just felt a little bit better about seeing in person yeah but that to me was not the highlight of the weekend but was one of the stronger points it was cool seeing Jaylen go through it I love the interaction with

The crowd and you had I thought solid dunks across the board from all four competitors yeah I feel like people were a little too tough on Jaylen with the dunks man it’s like what they want him to do like 1080 that’s what we’re talking about right like these

Ridiculous like things that you see on the video game I just think some of the dunks didn’t land the way everyone anticipated which is part of the reason why he didn’t win the contest right um the kids getting into it with mclung and all that I I do feel like they were like

Legitimately scared that Jaylen was going to steal it so it’s a good thing that he didn’t because he didn’t deserve to win the dunk contest I just think MCL just had a better had better dunks overall but yeah some of those dunks just didn’t land I feel like the way

Jaylen thought that they were going to and at the end end of the day the right guy won but I don’t think it was a situation where oh Jaylen shouldn’t have been in that final round I felt like he earned it and I feel like a lot of those

Dunks because they were personified because they stood for his childhood coming from Atlanta you know they stood for his his um someone that he was a mentor TOs and and Terence Clark the late Terence Clark I thought that was a special moment one of my favorite dunks

Of the night and I thought the uh the alleyoop uh the or the assist rather from Donovan Mitchell was probably his best dunk of the night but the Jason Tatum one man I think that’s the one look back on and say that could have been something special or or not I mean

I fall on that side of the argument where do you fall on because I feel like some people are like oh no it was just a bad dunk overall like clearly he wasn’t supposed to cover his eyes after dunking the ball right so there was a mistake

There we find out after the fact that Jason Tatum and they didn’t even practice this thing they just went up there and did it and you could tell they didn’t practice because the first lob was terrible and then the second one I felt like obviously needed some adjusting because no one’s trying to

Catch a no look from the free throw line which essentially seemed like imp I it seemed like that’s exactly where Tatum put it and that’s impossible to catch you know it was just the whole thing was and then we find out of course they didn’t practice that that makes sense

It’s a combination of the two he tried to do too many things too much P how do you not practice that man this is Tatum Brown this supposed to be a special moment am I looking too deep into it Bobby am I am I wearing my green goggles

I guess as a as as John sanis would say or some St this fans would say because how do you like how do you botch that moment where it would have been obviously jaylen’s moment but you sh sh it with your your All-Star teammate it would have been something special yeah

It’s obviously something you had to practice and spend some time on and that makes you question whether Brown even knew what he was going to do in that spot up until the very end of the you first half and they go away and maybe comes up with it at that point he said

It looked better in his head than it did in person but it just leads us back to that same conversation we’ve had of how much they interact how much they talk how much they collaborated on something like this clearly not a ton but he still felt strong enough to have out there and

Involved in it so I think it shows number one the progress they’ve made in their relationship to even be able to share that moment but number two that the chemistry isn’t natural and we saw that throughout the weekend it felt for it feels forced now it felt like oh we

If we don’t do this they’re going to make this a story so can you come out here and give me a la whatever we don’t have to practice it or anything you know you can go back to the rest of your night because that’s what Tatum did

Right he went out there he gave one bad pass and gave a mediocre one actually probably not as bad but just as almost just as bad pass and he got the heck out of there his night I thought that part was weird too like and listen Maybe I’m

From the older generation where I just remember the Chris weers and the you know Shaquille O’Neal like all the allstars hanging around just to see that event never mind if one of those guys was a teammate of them an All-Star teammate they’re hanging out that entire event you know especially if if that

Teammate makes it to the finals I don’t know man the whole thing was a little weird I’m not going to say that oh these guys don’t have a great relationship and that’s the reason why but it’s a little weird right it’s strange you had 10 15

More minutes at the end there if you’re Tatum where you could have stayed in support him for the final round and he just ventured off and it’s not a huge deal I’m sure he had somewhere else to go there events throughout these nights and days which is in part you know a

Conversation I had with Nick in another video why the game’s probably as bad that because I’m sure I’m sure he’s I’m sure I’m preaching to the C to the choir with Nick on this one I’m sure I am but I just think you can also say hey T him

To have that moment I mean either way it’s just one of those things where it speaks to how uh different their relationship are or at least how it’s not as people may assume it is yeah and I think there’s other examples from the weekend even that make you say there

Could have been some more interaction some more chemistry visible between those two here that would help on the court and we’ve had this conversation a million times do you got to be friends do you got to have a connection off the court to succeed on and I think we’ve

Let them off the hook at different point points and said no it’s fine as long as they figure out on the court you can be completely different people out there but Kevin Durant said one of the reasons this works so well with him and Booker

So far is that they hang out they talk and they have a connection off the court you had the same deal with lard in his MVP speech after the game said it’s been crucial to have that time with Giannis off the court at the allstar game to

Figure out what they’re doing in the second half issues from the first half it’s forced them to have those conversations so that’s two Superstar Duos right there saying that off thec Court Dynamics are important and Drew holiday even in one of his first interviews with the Celtics I think I

Asked him what how much how much do you have to be close off the court have that connection off the court to succeed on it and he said I don’t know how you do it without it so the consensus seems to be that you have to have some level of

Chemistry off the court and it makes sense to me right because after a bad loss are they talking and trying to figure out what went wrong uh after a bad play in a tense moment in the game do they that communication ability especially to keep each other accountable too are they just two

Separate guys doing their own thing on the floor or are they just coworkers yeah essentially what we’re asking um but I think it could work you know it’s funny you bring up Kevin Durant because let’s face it I mean his days in uh San Francisco with the Warriors I mean they

Weren’t chummy they weren’t really super tight between Curry and and and Draymond and Klay Thompson those guys were tight but I feel like Durant wasn’t necessarily as close with those guys but they still got it done they still had a close enough relationship to obviously perform well in the basketball court and

Have that chemistry that they needed to just Dominate and win championships I mean I just think if you had that dynamic as long as you have the great basketball relationship you can make it work I mean that’s the best example Kobe and Shaq they’ll tell you Shaq talked

About it for years Kobe talked about it for years they didn’t like each other but when they played in the basketball court they figured it out and in those cases the offc court Dynamic was so detrimental that the on court Dynamic despite how successful it was suffered

How long do those guys last though right there was an expiration date for those guys right I’m not saying that’s the same thing so Brown and Tatum’s case they’re Cal I don’t think there’s anything threatening their ability to stay on the same team for the long term

But their on court chemistry isn’t as natural so you do need a greater level of conversation I think you need more uh work together and more emphasis on playing off each other and they’ve done that to some degree but it’s just going to be about how consistent it is and

It’s the key of the second half because we now know what the Celtics they have the talent to get it done they have the best team in the league that’s going to get to the reinforcements that that’s what helps as well but even the bench and then you do bring in some

Reinforcements at the deadline who we’re finally going to see for the first time hopefully on Thursday here so the only thing preventing the Celtics in the second half and my biggest question with them is going to be how well do Tatum and brown play off each other when it

Matters how consistent are they when it matters and are they able to be the best players on the court in a given series because they are going to go up against a yic Murray Duo potentially kawhai George if it’s the Clippers and then even in the East you know you had doc

River saying you can’t Overlook the heat they have that Jimmy bam combination that On Any Given night could outd duel them and then you of course you look at what the Knicks are doing right now with Brenson and Rando so there are threats in the East I don’t think they’re slam

Dunk favorite to win at all I do like their ability to get through the East but it’s that same question for me a brown and Tatum going to rise to the occasion to get it done because I think even the bench for all the questions we

Have about it I think it’s good enough to give them what they need in the playoffs barring injury but if the team’s fully Healy though okay well obviously yeah that’s a big part of it but in the Eastern Conference I feel like they there it would be a huge

Disappointment if they don’t get back to the NBA finals because there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to get through these top tier teams I mean we’re always going to talk about The Underdogs like the Miami Heat and what happened last year and you know the sou is essentially

Being a completely different team and we talked about a lot of those moves between getting jayen uh getting Drew holiday and trading for Chris D porzingis those are in my opinions that’s a reaction to what happened in that best of seven Series where they went down three games you know uh it

Came back fell short in that game seven against the Heat so I just think they their matchup whether it’s against the Heat or whether against the Bucks I mean the mess that’s going on in Milwaukee we could talk about that in a little bit as well but I just really think they’re The

Head and Shoulders favorite to win the East but whoever’s waiting for them on the other side that’s that’s the question you bring up the Denver Nuggets I mean that’s a really that that’s a team that’s going to give you a lot of challenges in the best of seven Series

So what’s your biggest question for the second half with them if it is coming down to them and the Nuggets them and the Clippers what’s it going to take for them to overcome a team like that I think it comes down to one the biggest parts of this whole thing is Chris as

Porzingis you know how much do you implement him in the sense of uh getting him inside the pain get him his touches especially when it comes down to fourth quarter late game execution I think that plays a big part um how you I think through that you open up opportunities

For guys like Tatum for guys like Jaylen I think the defensive end of the floor is it’s a huge um not question mark but it’s going to be interesting to see how Jaylen performs on that end because he’s going to have to defend some of the better uh players you know especially in

The best of best of seven Series so I think we’ve seen it so many times throughout the season where if he’s really going on that end if he’s getting the stops he wants it it really motivates him or at least just naturally gets his offense going so I think that’s

A huge part um in fourth quarter late game execution but I just I think it comes down to those three guys but how you implement porzingis in the offense what will really make things easier for both of those guys for Tatum and brown terms of the biggest threat in the East

If there is one I know you’re not feeling big about anyone in the East knocking them off but what team would give them the biggest challenge who could push them to the brink potentially to six seven game series and I give them the biggest challenge I think people

Behind the Knicks do the Bucks figure it out Cavaliers moved up to the two seed by the end of the first half of the Season then of course you have your Philadelphia and Indies who have played the Celtics about as well as anyone this year but you do concerns on those teams

Too um I’m going to still mention Miami uh just because of that duel coaching duel between Joe moula and Eric spola regardless of sweeping the the series season series I still think that you have to worry about how that chess duel plays out in the best of seven series

Man Eric sposa just coached around coached around and around Jo manoula in that Eastern Conference Final matchup so I wonder what kind of tricks or you know things he has up his sleeves moving forward and of course what kind of chemistry that team’s going to have um

You know they have these additions like the rosers and you know guys that can come off the bench but you know they haven’t been able to put it all together so you wonder what they look like as a finished product um Indiana Pacers can give the a tough series but I don’t they

Don’t worry me as a threat to actually beat them in the best of seven that defense just isn’t good enough it’s just not going to happen yeah I mean I just think uh the Celtics and they they learned that’ll be a tough first round though if it do come down to that second

Round yeah if they get to the second round I mean it would be even easier I don’t know I just think the Celtics they learned their lesson in in those matchups against the patients because they saw them so many times throughout the regular season and um the Bucks I’m

Not going to give up on the bugs I just I still think it looks bleak the future looks very Bleak and I think it’s going to be one of those uh do you keep Doc and see how this thing looks like in the next season uh type of thing type of

Offseason for them because if they’re able to even uh reach the Eastern Conference Finals that would be a huge success if you ask me it is a daunting opponent if you run into them just cuz it’s so much offensive that’s the thing if they’re wait you know if they reach

If they get that far um yeah and that’s going to get Yannis going obviously an opportunity to get back to the NBA finals and uh having Doc Rivers on his side I I think Doc is one of those guys in the moment if you have the momentum going and you’re in the Eastern

Conference Finals he can get everyone on the right page he’s the motivator he’s just that locker room type of Coach big reason why the Philadelphia 76ers people forget they had a 3-2 lead against the Celtics you know in that best of seven uh before before um entering the Eastern

Conference Finals to take on the Miami Heat so uh doc has that capability for sure don’t sleep on that he’s not the greatest X and O’s type of Coach but um you know in the trenches or throughout those tough moments in the postseason if

He gets you that far he can kind of push you over if you if you uh have the right guys Giannis is still one of those guys for sure for me the biggest threat by far is the Knicks they have the Personnel to guard Boston now they have

The size to bother them and they have when they’ve played at times this year that’s going to test porzingis too and he had a phenomenal game against them on the opening night but since then you’ve added OG you’ve added bov different team now yeah Alec bercks is another bench

Scorer they’ve restored that bench to some degree they gave up pieces to get OG and now they’ve brought those back and when you think of giving up RJ Barett and Emanuel quickley now you have Burks bonovich uh Randall won’t see him saturday neither will I oh GE so we’re

Not getting quite the playoff preview that we want going into that game in New York on Saturday that could have been a big time maybe even East Conference Finals preview but that’s a dangerous one they got the crowd they got the coach they got the Personnel at this

Point too and a star in Jaylen Brunson who could be the best player on the court and any give a night if Brown and Tatum aren’t good enough so that brings me back to my key to them winning it all which is those guys clearly establishing themselves as the best player in the

Court but that series feels overdue it’s been 11 years now since they’ faced in the playoffs so oh that’d be great man that would be an amazing one to cover and hopefully it turns out that way last question I got for us for the second

Half there is an open roster spot on the Celtics uh that they’re not in a huge rush to fill but bi candidates are becoming available some of them have signed Kyle Lowry going to Philadelphia not a guy the Celtics were eligible for anyway but one of them that they could have went and

Gotten made his move in galinari to the Milwaukee Bucks so he’ll make his debut for the second half with them who picked the team with the best chances well done Gall who do you ultimately see being that 15th man on the Celtics um you know I don’t I don’t know

If they’re going to do the whole buyout Rod again you know and if they do I don’t see it as someone that you’re going to think of could have a chance to actually uh you know get some playing time do you just keep what you got do

You bring on kayada I mean I just think it’s one of those situations where um they kind of check those boxes in in Springer and in uh in um Tillman you know in X-Men so I’m not really thinking that they’re going to make a big splash

Here yeah it could be kayada it could be someone who becomes available down the line I mean yeah get some get some more extra muscle you know who knows the the playoffs man can you imagine if something would happen to one of these big guys in the front Court you know you

Just muscle you could get you you’ll think man NE neas can’t can’t jump in there you know because kados has proved himself man he’s the double double waiting to happen he’s done it in like 15 minutes before obviously the playoffs are different I’m not saying let him

Play that that many minutes but he can he can he can help you you know at some point if you absolutely need him but again that would be a uh disappointing situation if it gets to that point the only guy you think of PJ Tucker who two

Years going to be tough to buy that out for the clippers but obviously he’s pushing to get out of there in a strong way does not play playing time available for him in Boston necessarily but as you said one injury and you potentially have

A path to play at least a little bit at that four five spot for him I don’t love where his game’s at offensively he doesn’t bring anything to the table at all here but do you feel good about him shooting some threes in this system screening that might be enough alongside

The players that they already have to get him on the floor if there is an injury so that would be interesting dlan Reich goes to Miami so he’s not in the card Celtics don’t really have needs in the back court right now now especially after bringing on Springer so an extra
