The Trade the Cavaliers Wish They Made – Sports4CLE, 2/21/24
I found this one kind of interesting I don’t agree with it but we’ll go we’ll go with it anyway one trade every NBA team wish wishes they made at the trade deadline this from The Bleacher Report Cavaliers they say move Isaac Coro for a better shooting Wing he’s making career
Best 39.3 of his threes shooting less than three a night swapping out a coral for a wing with better range could have made this rotation better prepared for the playoff tests ahead um it may have made him better offensively I I think this is overlooking how good of a
Defensive player aoro is and how physical he is at the defensive end yeah and he’s also you know we’ve seen in the last few weeks or so he’s also feeling more comfortable taking that corner three which is what they’ve been asking of him um and I think
Sometimes we get carried away and don’t appreciate guys like oor who as you mentioned Dave has been fantastic defensively he was always a good Defender he’s having a career year defens L uh you know you’re talking about a guy who’s guarding everybody from point guards shooting guards small
Forwards uh and and he takes great pride in that uh you know trying to limit and contain against Milwaukee had a fantastic game you know basically I wouldn’t say shutting down Damen Lillard but just making his life miserable and make him work for every point to me that
Was a huge example of ok coro’s defensive versatility but you know I I agree the Cavs have enough scoring they have enough outside shooting They Don’t Really necessarily need an outside shooter what they need is a guy like okoro who’s going to knock down that open three if he gets it and forces
Nothing offensively you need when you have Garland uh Mitchell Mo Max stru you know Allen all of those guys are capable offensively Harris Levert who’s kind of a walking bucket himself uh you know you don’t necessarily need another guy who’s going to score a lot you just need to
Have him be a threat nooro has become that offensively not a huge threat but he’s become more of a threat and uh you you don’t make a trade to me when when everything’s working and the pieces fit well and you have a really willing Wing defender in okoro so yeah I disagree
With that too Dave we’re we’re on the same page with that
Dave Bacon and Sam Amico discuss a trade that Bleacher Report suggests the Cavaliers wish they had made.

Also, the fastbreak that Cavs have.
Trading the Junkyard Dog for a canary sounds not cool and taking away maybe a very 1st Defensive team achievement for his efforts for Cleveland.
Go Cavs basketball πππ
The best deal the Cavs made was no deal. That young man is the catalyst of their defense at the point of attack. He compliments Allen and Mobley.
Isaac Okoro is only 23 years old. He is a strong defender, great athlete, and the hardest worker on the team.
Compare his career trajectory to Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler as players who entered the NBA as defensive stalwarts who developed their offensive game.
Very, VERY gracious ππ½ and refreshing to have the Cleveland Media having the authentic appreciation and recognition of Issac Okoro and the efforts to defend the best of their opponents π Bravo ππ½ and kudos for calling out and naming them in depth…I have respect for the writers who are actually watching the Cavaliers and their Coaches ππ€²πΎππΌ
