I was like what is alx on the back of the Monumental twitter handle? Alexandria. I read the entirety of that article the Washington Post did on the situation. I hope they don’t move the team out, and I’m not a fan of Ted in the slightest. I see how he has dollar signs and brand new futuristic buildings in his eyes. He doesn’t really complain about the fans but it has to be a detriment to staying in DC that there aren’t nearly enough die hard Wizards fans to make it over the top problematic for him to move the team south.
Watched a story about a new arena proposed in Philadelphia that their Chinatown is pushing back against, and [the disaster example they cited was DC’s Chinatown!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIY-Df2hMSc)
Yikes. Feels like we’re in a no-win situation. If the move falls through, feels like Ted is just gonna let things languish til he’s allowed to move the team. If it goes through, DC pulls the building and doesn’t allow it to be used for any more local basketball, and ultimately I’d imagine the team gets renamed. Being in Baltimore [where the Bullets originated](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baltimore_Bullets_(1944%E2%80%931954)#ABL_(1944%E2%80%931947)), I’m probably still gonna root for the players.
