Your 2024 NBA MVP Winnner 🏆 #shorts

The MVPs become a three-man race but none of these guys are going to win I agree joic SJ and jannis are the top contenders with joic as the clear favorite but this is Luca’s award to lose and the stats back it up now if we know anything about the MVP it’s you

Must play games Win games and put up monster stats Luca checks all three boxes but we can go deeper voters love voting for guys who throw dimes look at Steve Nash for example he won back-to-back MVPs over Kobe while averaging 1511 and 1810 Luca is making Nash’s numbers look tiny he’s averaging

Ey popping 351 and N there’s only three guys in NBA history to average 30 plus points and 10 plus assists and none of them average more than 34 now the only missing piece is wins but his Mavs aren’t far off history says you can’t win MVP if your team is in the plan

Attourney which I agree with right now the Mavs are the eight seed but they’re only two and a half wins back from the six seed all they need to do is string a few wins together finish strong and get out of the play if that happens Luca

Will not only jump these guys in odds but he’ll have his first of several MVPs I’m Frank Michael Smith and that’s my take

  1. I think the media has it out for Luka this year is the first player in history to average 35 and 10 assists in consecutive months and got 0 talks about that, also compare the reactions in the media to his 73 point game to the reactions people gave to Embiid's 70 point game…

  2. I think he needs to get the Mavs to at least 4th to surpass Jokic (assuming Jokic is top 3).

  3. NBA Media doesn't like Luka lol. When Embid had 70 everyone praised him but when Luka got a 73 points with an efficient field goal percentage "something's wrong in the NBA"🤷😂

  4. Shai is not good enough and idc what thunder fans say as he does not have the bag to match someone like Luka giannis jokic or even steph

  5. I agree, Luka has been suprisingly excellent on defense, and as special as always when it comes to playmaking and shooting. The US media disrespect him a lot. With the 2 new players and an easier stretch I think we can expect Dallas to get 4th-5th.

  6. Yes and no. The problem is that Luka has played less games than Jokic, and the mvp is shifting towards a more "play as much as you can as good as you can" mentality, so totals will be more effective than per game stats

That being said, Jokic is ahead of Luka in fg% (by .085 or 8.5%), offensive rebounds (by 122) and total rebounds (by 222), total assists (by 26), total blocks (by 20) and to top all of that he has less turnovers (by 30)

Do I think Luka definitively deserves MVP? No. Its way too close to say he deserves it, especially on a non-high seeded team. Do I think he's top 3? Easily

Hot take: Giannis shouldn't be in the MVP convo. The other MVPs aren't working with another true superstar so they have to carry a lot more load which leads to far more risks. Yes Giannis stats are crazy but his situation is harming him, even if Dame is a fraud

That being said I'm taking Jokic to win if it was today. Not only the stats but the eye test shows that more than ever the Nuggets need him now. Luka can rely on Kyrie to take over a game now because Kyries decided to start playing good this season, and SGA has probably the most loaded team in terms of straight up potential and chemistry. The Nuggets are playing kinda buns right now and would be with the Lakers if it wasn't for Jokics presence

  7. Luka is just the new Harden like he dont deserve the mvp same way harden didnt bc u can ball hog and force shots dont mean shit he aint shooting 50 from the field barely shooting 37 from three and not even 80 from the freethrow he needs to be more efficient to be deserve the mvp

  8. I don’t agree with the having to make the playoffs to be mvp. Cause if you have a historic season idc if your team had 1 win. Mf you deserve the mvp clearly the most valuable to the team

  9. Luka is part of the problem with the NBA. These individual stat first players are killing the game I grew up loving. Harden on the rockets, Lebron, luka. They all play for themselves and the role players need to adapt to them. Truly great players adapt and make their teammates better. Luka is just another selfish player and him winning the MVP would be bad for the game.

  10. The media votes. If they don’t think he’s a favorite he’s not, no matter what other people think or what the stats say

  11. Luka is the guy you want on your team. He’s a play maker, a game manager, and an overall leader.

  12. Can we stop with this Luka and Giannis bs. Neither of them deserve it. Hell, neither are more deserving that Tatum if I’m being honest. Luka doesn’t play a lick of defense and Giannis had his coach fired because he wouldn’t accept his new role on his team. Jokic is the mvp
