[Applause] [Applause] Being able to experience all this with my family you know my entire family is here from all the way down to my nieces my Twi nieces all to my grandmother I mean you know I like to smile so see Smiles on my parents face I love them I appreciate them they

Show me love all the time and support so they deserve just as much as I do so when tyres came along and showed interest in basketball my husband was super tough on him didn’t always go over well lots of Tears over the one-on-one games in the driveway I started coaching

Him at second grade I’m thinking myself I was a high school basketball coach so I’m thinking like he could do better he could do better and I would be like Ty just just let him win one game and he was like no I’m not going to let him win you know

He’s going have to earn a win with me he’ll never beat me until I turn 50 I think losing to him was is something that really helped me as well because it made me even more competitive maybe want to get even better at basketball what age were each of them the first time

Tyrese won one1 oh yeah that’s memorable I think it was his rookie year the first camp that he had in Garland and I don’t even know why Tyrone decided to go out and try to guard tyres in the middle of the camp but he did and it didn’t go over well [Applause]

So tyes just put a move on him and I think he did the little step back and Tyrone went flying and T Tyrone was like okay I think it’s time for me to hang up my shoes with my son so while all this is happening right H he says

No it’s great I really love to see ter play I think that is amazing I love love coming to the games and watching him but as a mother what’s most important to me is that he’s a good person one of the things that my mother-in-law’s big thing was service

Service and um being able to give back to your community nice no nice lit lit lit ah there we go that’s nice that’s nice nice to meet you man nice to meet you did you grab your some shoes too here you go bro and she always She always told Tes

You know if God blesses you to be in a position to where you can serve and give back to others you should do it I instill that in him man be closable you know be a good person you know my mom always told me you’re nobody nobody’s nobody nobody’s any better than

You so like I just kind of Steal those S same principles in Tyrese my man said he want some of these right here that’s anything with that end on it I approve of it I text him after every game whether he scores 50 or he scores two

Whether he plays 40 minutes or he plays 5 minutes doesn’t matter every single game he gets a text from me those message mean a lot I know I always go to my phone and look at it as soon as the game is over especially after a loss cuz

It’s going to be something that’s going to cheer me up make me laugh or do anything I appreciate her her my dad and my entire family not just them you know my grandmother uh my T nieces my sisters uh my uncle and Chris who live with me so they’ve been

Great I think my proudest moments are listening to him when he gives interviews sometimes just how he recognizes those who’ve helped him my parents um they’ve been on me since I was a little kid about being able to uh not act older than what I am

But be able to converse with a lot of different people to be able to sit at the table a lot of different people and show that maturity the Lefty extension ooh that’s a point guard yall and then pops get some acknowledgement there sitting in the front row that was

For you Dad it’s for you you’re in the NBA making all this money make sure you say the thing don’t ever allow this Fame and money change you don’t don’t don’t do that don’t ever do that so I’m proud that he’s uh remaining humble that’s that’s that’s the main thing

Do for real for real thank thank you already know you know what is your character like are you treating people with the respect that you want in return are you famous no not even close get a dozen of or they don’t like a dozen left but yes please

All right and then whatever they want thank you thank you so much definitely got to give a tip that was amazing and y’all let me do it so that’s the most important thing but it makes me feel really good makes me feel like okay we did something well perfect there you go

Yeah I feel feel like my mom and dad have helped me my dad has really helped me cuz he’s come like to peace he’s like at peace right now because like when I was younger he was on me he was screaming he was yelling doing all those

Different things but now I feel like he’s at peace he knows that I work extremely hard he knows I’m going study the game he still puts his two cents in which and I really appreciate but now he’s at peace he can just kind of sit there and kind of chill and watch the

Game and know be happy just with his son going out there and trying to be successful for his team mom so much just being the emotional support that you need being able call her and talk to her and vent to her to the world he’s Ty Max

Basketball player but to me it’s just my son come on M come on M bucket tyres is the hardest Walker I’ve ever been Around you know from the first time that we drafted him um uh just his attitude uh the way he cared himself uh his personality how much he walked you know from there I was like you a chance to be Good hey I got to get through the screen I like to win you know no matter what no matter who’s on the court no matter who we’re playing I’m extremely competitive so whatever it takes to win that’s what I like to go out there and do I’m cutting I’m

Cutting too late too late T to that’s too late the two main things are certainly got um some special special gifted abilities with his speed and his quickness that makes him just hard to keep up with or catch or keep in front Of gotcha but then right you know closely aligned with that is is his great three-point shooting his great range that he has on his three-point Shot the ease of which he can shoot the ball deep those would be right at the top he is starting to mix in some other mid-range games some turnaround shots some fatal way shots he’s playing point guard for like the first time in his career he’s running the team yeah right there Kelly

Here we go he’s organizing things he’s creating offense not only for himself but for others that’s an art and that’s a that’s an experience thing and that’s just a time thing that I think he continues to will continue to grow with him having command of of games why why do not hell

You know I’m also smiling because it’s when he’s getting his work in and know he’s playing basketball you can tell he really loves it cuz you know he’s always usually in a good mood and it doesn’t matter how early it is he gets he get basketball on his hands and you know

Always say he’s a guy that that doesn’t seem like he ever has a bad day um and that’s true in a couple senses that he’s in a good mood and he has positive and he’s ready to attack each day but it’s also again he’s got the
