I was young and naive during the Karl years and assumed it was everyone else that had issues. Makes me grateful for Malone (and the locker room access we have) to see what kind of a coach he is. Makes me sad to think of what kind of team we could have had with that thuggish squad.

Used to work for the Nuggets. George Karl was kind of a salty and mean on the outside type of person. You definitely didn’t feel comfortable when he was around. That being said, he was a total basketball mastermind but his players obviously hate him. True story, one day a friend of mine and I were down on South Broadway and we saw this extremely nice car sitting in front of this pipe shop, and we were like wow nice car! Then, a few seconds later, this massive human being (Kmart) walked out with a huge bag that had a 4-5 bongs sticking out of it, and then he drove off. Anyway, that night he had his highest scoring game of the year, and absolutely destroyed the other team.

Can’t help but wonder when he says “You didn’t do shit” if he means karl, melo, or himself. because….

Karl’s salty that he didn’t have Jokic, who would be his dream ball distributor

Why are grown up men spending so much time talking about “words that hurt me” like 6y olds?

  6. I don’t know George Karl, but for him to drag Carmelo is a real high school move. This whole “#15” thing is juvenile. They’re different players from different eras. I understand the sports landscape needs constant drama and controversy and “takes” but I’m over this garbage, it’s toxic.

Everyone involved in this are just ridiculous human beings.

Melo came out with the #15 nonsense first. Saying that they gave the number to Jokic to spite him. Dude. You’re not even an afterthought in Denver anymore. You wanted out. You got out. End of story. You’re not as important as you think you are

George Karl is too old to be acting so petty. You didn’t like them. They didn’t like you. Get over it. Act your age and bow out gracefully. But then again, there is nothing graceful about George Karl.

Kenyon Martin, even talking about people who never did anything is ironic. Pot calling the kettle black. He was an overrated and overpaid player who never achieved anything. He should be thanking Jason Kidd every day of his life because he’s the only reason he got paid as much as he did.

Karl and Melo are both bitter losers. Get over yourselves.

I remember Chauncey coming in and being amazed that they didn’t have a out-of-bounds play. Or remember that time he had small pg inbound the ball (i forgot his name…) against lamar odom i think it was? and got the ball stolen?

Seems like GK was a macro guy. Had some good ideas, but it always seemed like he wasn’t that detail-oriented.

  10. People sayin Kenyon was overpaid. How I remember that era, Denver couldn’t get any top free agents to come to Denver. The thought was that bringing in Martin would make Denver more appealing.

I am very ready to be done with all of this. Like I genuinely do not care. We are in a golden era of Nuggets basketball, with awesome players and a standup coach. Let’s enjoy that.

Which is more annoying: revisionist history in Melo or George Karl being a salty old man?

FACTS!!! Yet, when I said commented the same thing on the post with GK’s comments, I got downvoted to oblivion, but now you all agree? Y’all some wishy washy babies. I’ve said it since he was the coach and I’ll say it all the way to his funeral, FUCK GEORGE KARL

  14. vintage_rack_boi

I actually like Karl a lot I think everyone just overreacts to what he says.

To be fair, I never liked Karl either.. he always came off arrogant and smarmy… People mostly reserved their criticisms as well bc of the cancer history with him and his son… but yeah, the fact that he be still talkin slick, STIL. Pretty fuckin amazing.

  16. Bobbagwell

If Karl doesn’t get cancer and miss the series against the Jazz, I don’t think the team gets blown up afterwards.

But it’s clear that Melo and Karl are both bitter.

This stuff makes me so thankful for the team we have now. Top to bottom good dudes.

Melo can’t keep his damn mouth shut.
