Victor Wembanyama joins Hakeem Olajuwon (4x) as the only players in NBA history to record 25+ points, 10+ rebounds, 5+ assists, 5+ steals, and 5+ blocks in a game.
With his performance tonight, Victor Wembanyama becomes the 15th player and the 22nd instance in NBA history to record a 5×5 (PTS-REB-AST-STL-BLK) game, since 1973-74 when blocks and steals became official.
At 20y, 50d old, he is the youngest player since tracking began to have such a game (previously: Andrei Kirilenko, 22y, 288d old).
He is the second rookie to ever record such a game (Jamaal Tinsley: 11.16.01, IND v MIN – 12 PTS, 15 AST, 9 REB, 6 STL, 5 BLK).
It’s the first 5×5 game in the NBA since Jusuf Nurkic totaled 24 PTS, 23 REB, 7 AST, 5 STL, and 5 BLK on Jan. 1, 2019, POR v SAC

Victor is just too small. He is talented but I don't think we will be talking over the league until he puts some muscle on the legs. He gets pushed too easy. Someone that big. Should be able to dunk at will.

5×5 makes him a unicorn, but does it really matter to the outcome of a game? Not really. 5 points and 5 rebounds are a no-brainer, and what matters more is shooting efficiency and offensive boards. 5 assists are always nice. 5 blocks are interesting (depends on what happens after the blocks), and 5 steals do matter. But what matters most is shooting efficiency for the primary shot-taker on the team, and on defense it's preventing the other team from scoring, including at the center position. In these last two categories, Victor is average at best thus far. Tonight was another example of that.
