Situation in Portland was always going to be a little rocky because he wasn’t the best point guard even on the roster that seemed to be Ant Simons and he had a rough start to the season it seems like now he’s starting to come around he’s starting to be able to read things
A little bit better and shoot a little bit better what are you seeing from him with scoot I mean he entered the season with an injury and so it was a slow start because of that and also like you said just the dynamic and the back court
Uh trying to find the chemistry with a Anthony Simons um and I think for scoot you know he was someone in the G League who was just go go go go go he wanted to get downhill every chance he got he he was finding more success in creating
Separation to get shots off he wasn’t doing that successfully you know in the first few games getting his shot blocked constantly you know so for him I think as the season goes on he’s the game is slowed down for one it’s slowed down for him he’s been able to uh be more
Selective in his spots and where he wants to attack and also he’s become a better passer I think everything is just kind of taken him a little bit longer to adjust but I don’t I think it’s so unfair especially in the first half of a rookie season for people to point and be

Guys a bust in the beginning and then towards the end with some guys were like ah maybe he’s not in the right situation if you’re years in approaching restricted free agency we kind of know who you are

Scoot Average of 13 poiints 5 rebounds a game for a 19 year old Rookie is not a bust. Scoot is the most interesting player to watch when he is on the court and continues to get better and better.
